The whole experience at this salon is so welcoming. From the moment you walk in the door, the helpful consultation before starting, the massaging chair and head massage whilst having your hair washed and the great coffee. Penny is amazing! I explained I wasn't happy with my last cut (from somewhere else) and she really put me at ease. Understood exactly what I wanted and the result was perfect. Thank you!

Michael did a great job giving my 11 year old son a transformational haircut from a very messy lockdown long to a very stylish short with just enough length to still show of his curls. My son absolutely loves his new cut. Very professional stylist that treated him like any other client even though he is just a kid. Really made him feel at ease and encouraged him to talk about what he wanted. Great experience definitely be back. Gave us some good stying tips as well.

Just had a haircut with Alex today and she was beyond fantastic! I was not the easiest customer not knowing what haircut I wanted given that I came with very long hair with not much shape to it. I have naturally straight and flat hair and Alex had a number of suggestions for hairstyles that would suit my face and was very flexible as the haircut progressed. In particular I progressively became braver and asked her for a shorter haircut than the one we initially discussed. Alex never made me feel uncomfortable giving suggestions or asking questions at any point and her friendly approach made the whole experience a pleasure. She was evidently very skilled and confident with the scissors, giving me a transformative cut and a wonderful blow-dry at the end. Cannot recommend her enough! Will certainly be back! Thanks, Alex! I absolutely love my hair! New person, who this? 😄

I honestly couldn't be happier with my cut and colour, Adam is great to ask for advice and I've never felt more at ease in a hairdresser's chair! After showing Andrew some photos he really spent time talking me through the best cut and colour that would suit the shape of my face, tone of my skin and I loved the whole experience of being there. I had a lovely positive experience with Michael who was very knowledgeable and informative. He is very good at his job. Unfortunately Rebecca who washed my hair must have been in a bad mood. In the first instance she barely acknowledged me. Very heavy handed, she slapped on the products several times and her long, false pointed nails kept dragging through my hair and scratching my scalp. I paid for a head massage as an add-on but I wish I hadnt. It was an unskilled, perfunctory head rub, (further ruined by the nails) and was not relaxing in the slightest. I also do not think it lasted the allocated ten minutes. I will go back as I'm a regular and really like this salon, but hope next time someone else does the hair wash.

My first time in Mulvennas was excellant. What lovely ambience in this place & the decor is fab. Massage chairs are top notch. Penny gave me some great tips & was so lovely. She was very attentive & calm, I felt so comfortable and relaxed during my appointment. The environment today (wed) was very chilled & didn't feel chaotic as some places can. I had the keratin treatment done which is amazing & had brief interaction with the manager prior to this. Leanne very promptly rearranged an appointment for me. Emma is a miracle worker! A very talented colour specialist who really knows what she’s doing. She managed to transform my one year of terrible twix bar looking root regrowth into the icy silver I’ve always wanted. She took every extra step and precaution possible to make sure the results were good. She never rushed despite being super busy, and took her time with my hair which ended up taking almost 5 and a half hours (I think I was the last person in the salon!). Emma constantly checked in with me to make sure I was always happy and comfortable and managed my expectations on what was possible and probable. Emma is magic - I trust her 100% with my hair and would recommend her to anyone. I’m so glad I went to her and have already booked in again! All the other salon staff are lovely too, super friendly and helpful. I am a particular fan of the massage chairs while you’re getting your hair rinsed! Andrew Mulvenna definitely earns its reputation as a top quality salon.

Penny took the time to make sure every root was bleached she took around 30 mins just to apply the bleach correctly which I was impressed with and it was left on for roughly 50 mins which was long enough to bleach my dark hair correctly whereas in other salons I’d have my hair bleach, toned & cut in 40 mins. Love the colour and Penny was very chatty and polite, I was made to feel very welcome during my appointment

One of the best hair cuts that I've ever had - Andrew was incredibly knowledgable and was able to fix the mess from my last haircut at another salon. He cut just the right amount to reshape my hair without over-cutting it; putting it in a great position to grow out further. Always struggled to find a good hairdresser for long mens hair, but I couldn't recommend Andrew enough - Will definitely be coming back.

One of the best salon's I've ever been to! Very friendly and professional service. I needed a big change a haircut and a new colour. And Christopher always does my haircut and I have never been disappointed! He's great stylist! And I choose Emma as my colourist and she was absolutely amazing!!!! Coming in, my hair was damaged and brassy,It was a challenge and in the end she got it so perfect! I left with perfect blonde hair I never knew I could have. And with all the products they have used my hair feels so soft and nice. I just can't thank her enough for fixing my truly horrible hair, I'm more than happy!!!!
