I had a really amazing experience and one of the best haircuts yet down at man about town The hair stylist Fermani is a really great guy and I felt very welcomed by him and relaxed in his presence. I received a face massage, head massage and hot towel which was a real nice. If your looking a friendly professional who really dedicates there time on you, and a fantastic haircut I can't recommend this place enough it's so worth it! I left feeling super relaxed and refreshed with a excellent cut. This for sure is my new place.

First time ever using Man About Town after seeing the great recommendations and reviews. What can I say! This is not just a great haircut, it is an experience. From the moment you arrive and are welcomed with a handshake and a big smile, to being asked which type of music or music artist you like so the scene is tailored just for you. Then your requirements are fully discussed and you are made to feel relaxed in the hands of this professional. Never before have I had a haircut like this. The attention to detail, the relaxed atmosphere and chat and the time taken to ensure when you are leaving that everything is perfect. The hair wash, head massage and face hot towel etc. also is amazing and relaxing along with the face massage. This truly is a one on one haircut with the time you are there dedicated to only you and not your run of the mill production line barbers. Amazing haircut and experience and if you want a relaxed, professional, friendly and excellent hair cut I cannot recommend this enough!! Came away from this not only with a great new hairstyle but also feeling relaxed and refreshed. Definitely my new go to place and see you next time!

Skillfully done work, very much enjoyed the experience. Plus the owner and hairstylist Fermani is such a great man, pleasant to talk to. For the first time with the haircut I’ve received a mini spa, which included hot towel on the face, face massage and head massage. And the most important part - the haircut turned out marvelous! So even though it’s a bit more expensive, it makes sense to treat yourself well, so it’s worth the money.

Absolutely brilliant experience from start time finish. Searched high and low for a recommended barber and traveled 50 minutes as the talent is lacking in my town. I fell asleep 3 times during the service and I have battled with insomnia for 13 years. This was incredibly relaxing and Fermani really went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed the experience. The most unique hairstylist I have ever come across. I have never had a haircut or the attention from anyone else and the style and treatment is not of the world that I have travelled around. I have travelled in Dubai and never got treatment like this. I have had a neck and back pain for 10 years and Fermani has made chiropractor-like treatment massages and instantly fixed my condition. Was amazing to meet Fermani for the first time, I loved our conversations and the whole experience with Music, Face Massage, Hair Wash and cut was great. I've visited many different barbers, but never a Hair Stylist, so I didn't fully know what to expect and was a little nervous. I called in person to enquire about a very last minute appointment and was greeted with a handshake and a big smile, it felt like we had known eachother for years. My requirements were fully discussed, recommendations were offered (and greatly accepted) and was made to feel completely relaxed. I've never had a haircut like this. The time taken, the attention to detail and the relaxing atmosphere, made me realise I was safe in the hands of a professional perfectionist. After the hair and beard cut/hot towel shave, my hair was washed, head and face massaged and left with a hot towel gently wrapped around my face. There was no sense of a rush to get me out the door, I could have lay there all day. Its the definition of a one on one haircut, an amazing all round experience, I've been receiving compliments on my hair and beard, even still several weeks after. I honestly cant reccomend this place enough.

What can I say about Man About Town that doesn't sound like I'm making it up?! Fermani is such a good guy. Yes he is a first class barber and will do your hair the way you want it but with his own twist (which you will love) But he is much more than that. I class him as a friend. I'll chat about anything with him. He is full of sound advice and always willing to listen. It's mad - discussed many things with him and he's full of thought provoking advice and insight. He believes that guys should be able to open up and tackle their problems. But then he also sorts out the ache in my back, the problem I have with my hips, the stiffness in my shoulders. It is an experience rather than a haircut. It's like a mini spa for half the price. (I've paid more for expensive spa treatments that aren't as good) Face and head massage, hot towels, amazing beard trim, chiropractor, great music, good chat and more - he's such a good guy and it's an amazing experience. Yes it costs more than getting your hair cut by the local walk-in barber, but I defy anyone to think Mani isn't value for money. Youll think it is cheap afterwards. You walk out a different person. He treats everyone as a private appointment which you are. I met him in the coffee shop across the road today cos he was taking a break with a previous customer. We all had a good chat before he worked his magic on my hair, mind and back! He's a great guy and Man About Town won't disappoint. If you're used to the local walk-in barber you may be worried about the cost. But experience it and you'll wonder why you aren't spending this on yourself every month. Slightly pricey, but you get what you pay for 😊 Only thing I can complain about is I told them ahead of time that I'm transmasc and they referred to me as a girl at one point during the appointment, tho I don't really hold that against them, since his first language isn't English 😊

What an experience! I was working in the city and decided to give Man About Town a try based on the good reviews I’d read. The owner (sorry, I didn’t make a note of his name) was friendly and welcoming and has a 10/10 attitude towards customer service. I usually have a scissor cut and that’s it but this guy goes all out. Face massage, scalp ointment, hot towel on face, the lot. Don’t think of this as a hair cut, think of it as an experience and give it the time it deserves. I’m next in Belfast in November ‘22 so I’m going to make time and go again. Excellent.

I have searched all over Belfast for the last 2 years, trying countless places from cheap barbers to higher class salons and was still left wanting. Wow! What a great find. Traveling up from Dublin on the Aircoach I googled looking for a good place to get a haircut when I got into Belfast. Fermani is the best ‘magician’ you can find in town! He can do something to your hairstyle that you never thought was possible, making him one of the best hairstylist around (hairstylist is different from babrber). He is also a certified chiropractor, he fixed one of my neck pain which I had for a very long time. One thing about him that makes me come back to him is not how well he does my hair or how well he fixed my pain, it’s about how much he actually cares about every one of his customer. I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t enjoy an hour or so here every month than going somewhere else for a haircut. Fermani is the guy you should go to if you’re around Belfast, for sure!

Again, top notch customer service. I paid £43 for the service and I would say it is worth it, especially as a nice treat for someone such as myself that doesn't go to barbers that often. The hair style I was given is not what I'm used to but it looks good very stylish and unique, plus my girlfriend seems like it. Also the hair was cut in a way that allows me to fashion it in a number of different ways (I prefer the messy look that doesn't require any attention). Will definitely return here again. Hands down, the best hairstylist in Belfast City. I always read the 1 star reviews to see why I should avoid because, like most, I am apprehensive to lending my hair to an unfamiliar hand. In my experience, the majority of 1 star reviews seem to be from: A) Rival businesses trying to tarnish an overwhelmingly impeccable reputation. Claiming all sorts, from IT prowess to having an 'allegedly' superior knowledge of grooming. B) People who have had a bad experience due to means beyond the business' control. Everyone has bad days. Cut 'em some slack. Yes, most 5 star reviews are from first time posters but that's because Man About Town are so confident in their ability, they actively encourage customers to review them online for all to see. In other words, they let their work do the talking and I am testiment to that. The price is high but I would still brand it value for money given the service and sheer quality provided as it is totally unparalleled to anything else in this city. It is time consuming relative to a buzz cut but, let's be honest here, who wants a rushed hair cut? Belfast is home to many great hairstylists and they all do the city a great service but for me, Man About Town is simply a cut above the rest.

Met Fermani last week on a visit to Belfast. To say it was a surreal experience would be an overstatement, but to say it was an enjoyable one is most definitely a yes. Fermani has adopted the traditional Turkish Barber approach but given it one hell of a twist. That twist starts with the Man himself. Whilst he will not be everyone's cup pf tea (especially if you are impatient) he possesses a charisma that draws you in and talking of tea, in my case this extended to a brief summation of his travel plans for the next few months as I sipped a choice of numeorus herbal teas. The man even nipped out to get some milk (as I opted for English). The music and decor are far more Cafe Del Mar than downtown Istanbul, in essence the salon is basically an extension of the man's colourful personality. Whilst this was all good I did harbour the fear that Fermani would be all presentation and little substance but I'm almost relieved to say that I could not have been more wrong. My hair is quite short, my style simple, yet even in London I struggle to find a barber who understands the style I prefer not to mention what suits the shape of my face. Fermani took a look, I explained my woes and was somewhat reassured by his words "leave it to me". Well I did and whlst the cut was quick, the result was precisely what I wanted at precisely the length & style I wanted. In fact it was one of the best barber cuts I've had for many a year, so good in fact that I may wait until my next visit to Belfast for my next cut (although this time I'll book!). His female assistant is also worthy of mention, again a twist on the Turkish experience with the traditional hot towel and wash being preceeded & followed by what was a superb & thorough head and neck massage - she took me to another planet! He may not be the cheapest in town, but for an overall experience that exudes "difference" from every angle, I'd conclude by saying that he's most definitely one of the best!

If you go on the weekend, get here before noon because otherwise he's liable to be booked the whole day by then. So the first time I went in and told ferhat what I wanted, he worked with me to not only capture my vision, but make it better. The guy is an artist. Having spent a long number of years with the same hair dresser in a salon, I've been looking recently for a more traditional barbers. I've tried a few and the results have been, well....variable. And mostly just average at best. Walking past one evening a few months back Fermani gave me his card and jokingly (I hope!) said I could come in and he'd do a full restyle for me. Today I took him up on the offer, and I'm seriously impressed. The guy greats you with the kind of big hello, big personality and a smile that is very lacking in this city. I sat in the chair and before I had much of a chance to really chat about how I wanted to get my hair cut, he beat me to the punch and was able to describe to me (in almost exatly the same words I was going to use!) what I wanted done. So I ran with it. Fermani is incredibly confident in his own skills, and rightly so. This guy is seriously good. In no more than about 30 mins I had my hair washed, cut, washed again, dried and styled. I've tried a few around the centre of Belfast over the years, even the various Turkish Barbers that seem to be popping up and Fermani beats them all hands down. I have a peculiar 'cow's lick' with my mop, Fermani easily cut the hair the correct way to ensure this all but disappears from now on, great!
