Staff are incredibly good at their jobs, would definitely recommend this place! Friendly and cheap, excellent at working with more longer cuts as well as with curlier hair. James cut my hair better than anyone else I've been to in Birmingham so far. :-)

Absolutely loved this place, such a good service and nice atmosphere! Struggled this last year finding a good barbers since moving to the Midlands and I've finally found one! James is such a genuinely nice, easy going fella and took his time in giving me a hair cut which was exactly what I'd asked for. Will defo be coming back and would highly recommend! Fantastic work done, very easy conversation and some nice added extras (eye brow trim, wax in the hair) for no extra fee. Very happy with the .5 fade and scissor work. Extremely good value for money in comparison to local barbers and the quality of hair service cannot be any better. They also have a loyalty card service - 5 haircuts and the next is half price! Highly recommend.

Old style barber shop that makes u feel like u in the 50's. Great barber to go to. Well priced and great service. They really care about your appearance and recommend the best options for your hairstyle. Will be going back

The 2 guys working there are really good at what they do. It's always nice having a chat with them regarding whatever. The cuts they do are pretty damn good, at least I never felt dissatisfied with the service or the quality. Important note however is that they take cash only. So make sure you have twenty in your wallet.

Great gents barber shop. Two very skilled and friendly guys run this place, it can get busy and my average wait is around 45 minutes at peak times (but worth the wait). Very reasonable price and loyalty card for regulars.

Without doubt the best barbers in Birmingham and probably about half the price of a lot of them. Jays very down to earth and easy to talk to. Never been a fan of some of the forced banter you have to have with some barbers. Definitely not the case with the guys. If busy the other chap is quality to. Haven’t recently had a shocking haircut elsewhere I won’t go anywhere else!

I would like to thank the guys at JQ I was using another barbers prior they had left me looking like Steve wonder had cut my hair! these guys at JQ have restored myself confidence regarding my hair always the highlight of my hair cut day seeing the guys relaxed and always a good laugh Normally in and out in 40 mins Decor is ace too

Chose to go to this barbers a couple times having the same guy twice. Skin fade was done well but second time was too high even though I specified it to be low plus small patches were missed. Price is decent but should be a couple £'s less for the service as a whole at this current time with the quality they offer. The cut on top on both occasions was poor with parts being missed, and uneven lengths making it top heavy and longer on the fringe. On both occasions I was not asked to double check the length I wanted to get cut off on top which all other barbers I've gone to have asked. Furthermore I wasn't offered a tissue at the end of the cut to wipe off hair, some barbers do and Donvt do this but it's a simple strategy that improves your service. Lastly cuts don't take long, this may be benficial to you but found the cuts were rushed and an extra 5-10 mins will improve the qulity of the cuts.

I needed a barbers whilst I was in the area, I saw all the good reviews on here so I thought I'd try it. Wow! What a great guy and a brilliant hair cut. I've been back a few times since. Love the decor too. Really adds to the experience.

I have visited this place since it first opened and it was just James. Now there are two guys working in there generally (sorry I bad with names) and it's even better as it's a popular place but it keeps the queue moving. Plus they are both really great guys, I've always had a very good hair cut, the decor is cool, music always great and they've both got good chat. There's none of the extra bits you pay an arm and a leg for (beers) elsewhere so it's really reasonably priced too and it's in the heart of the JQ. What more could you want? In summary I can't recommend this place enough and I don't know why you'd go anywhere else in town. Probably shouldn't have said that as I don't necessarily want to queue out the door haha.

Jay, the owner, lovely chap and very charasmatic. Understands basic and advanced cut types, and has a good array of tools. Effective end styling lets him down, area to be improved on.
