Down this way for my partners work & filled in some time with a haircut. Googled prior to walking in & responses were very good. My experience was also very good indeed. Good lively atmo within the place & the staff bounce off each other very well. Hair cut is top draw too, a lot more expensive than ones in Newcastle, however the time taken on my hair was a lot longer and with more precision so it’s justified. Props to Callum, good patter & didn’t make chat just to fill a moment of silence. Highly recommend. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I have been figuring out what type of style would suit me for ages and asked for a suggestion from Aaron and he knew the right style according to my hair type and face shape. Was lucky to get him in the first place( Great rapper ) . The others are great too. No need to book appointments, waiting time is usually 15 to 20mins but it's definitely worth the wait. Will certainly go again.

Adam was very patient and explained the whole process of the haircut. This sounds stupid to say but I haven’t really been to a place before where the barber actually asks you properly what you want doing as well as giving his advice which seemed very genuine. I wasn’t too sure what I wanted doing to my hair after the lockdown had made it the longest it had ever been. But again Adam advised the best way it would look. Adam took his time with my hair and I didn’t feel rushed at all. He even went out his way to give me some tips for my beard and advised me of some products that I can use to enhance the look. Overall the place is very nice. Styling hidden gem of a shop, and I would recommend this to all my friends and family. The banter and conversation I had with Adam made me feel at ease on visiting a new barber. So good that I have already booked my next appointment.

I've been visiting barberology for around 3-4 years now, Adam and Jack always welcoming and greet you the second you enter, Bryn has continuously been my go to guy and never disappoints if anything gets better every time. The lads always set the vibe and never leave you out of a convo, it will continue to be my barbers of choice. Music a bit weird though<<< I'm joking obviously!

First haircut since the end of lockdown. Arrived not sure what I wanted, after a short discussion with Bryn we had a decision, his advice was excellent. Before sitting in the chair, it was thoroughly cleaned along with all the surrounding surfaces. Reassuring me that these gents care about the health of their customers. Once in the chair the conversation was light and entertaining, the music was excellent with a good atmosphere all round. I left the shop with a smile on my face and and a tidy lid. Top service, couldn’t recommend any more highly.

Not cheap but it worth the effort. My son's haircut was what he wanted to and he really looks great. Their music is very nice and I also spend my time waiting by looking at a Banksy album which was there for customers.

Discovered Barberology around Christmas time last year and haven't gone anywhere else since. Brilliant atmosphere, staff are excellent and are really passionate and knowledgeable about their work. Most recent cut was with Aaron, I hardly had to explain what I wanted doing and he knew right away what I had in mind, best cut yet. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to go to a barbers where they understand and really care about their service.

I rarely make recommendations or leave reviews. These guys really are top quality barbers, my cut is consistently excellent and you can just see the amount of effort and focus they put into every customer and they are a very friendly and welcoming bunch. They make the effort to make you feel comfortable, but don't pressure you to make conversation if you just want to chill and get a fresh cut. I have had my hair cut at least once by each of the guys and when I go now I feel really confident that I am in safe hands. It is priced fairly high, but in my opinion you get what you pay for and is it worth looking smart, feeling confident and knowing it is consistently top quality.

Absolutely brilliant service. I walked in at 11am on Tuesday and it was packed so thought "must be good in here!". I had a bit of a wait (30 mins) but I didn't mind at all. The (seemingly) manager made sure I was looked after, asking if i wanted tea/coffee. The guy who cut my hair was top (Jordan?), I went with his style suggestions & very pleased. Great atmosphere in there. Price-wise...£36 for hair and beard cut...is a little pricey I thought initially...but I didn't check the prices before, so that is my fault. The location must be £££ rent-wise and they're not going to change their prices are they, no point docking a star for that.. I don't wanna be the guy who lowers their google rating. The 5* rating stays!

I visit once a month for the best haircuts I've ever had. The service is impeccable and the male banter surrounds the barbers. The barbers do not only cut your hair but they also get to know their clients and offer advice on what cut you should get. The close shave I had earlier was my first and Aaron assured me I was in good hands. Having the cutthroat on my neck reminded me of Sweeney Todd. Aaron reassured me and I felt relaxed. What can I say but I love everything about Barberology this review is long overdue . Been going to both venues for a couple of years and the service is exceptional, without fail . If you care about how your hair looks and want a relaxed professional experience Adam and the guys deliver, from the moment you walk through the door a complimentary drink, great and varied music with entertaining banter is just the start, once in chair the guys ensure the cut is unhurried and the final look is sharp, it suits you and with plenty of advice on how to keep it looking that way yourself. I never write reviews for anything but this place deserves it. The staff are unbelievable, really friendly and can have a laugh. You can tell they have a passion for what they do. Great vibes in an awesome location, I have tried many a barber/hair dresser but until I had my hair cut by Jack at another place was never completely happy. When Jackleft his last year place I had switch up to Barberology, and the laid back atmosphere, full of banter and (usually) good music made it a great move. If you want a sharp cut, with some classic styling your going to the right place. Really glad the guys won best Barbershop in the UK after less than year!

In my opinion the best barber in the city. Every time I've been here the staff has been incredibly helpful and friendly, and take their time with your haircut. You'll never get a cut under 30 minutes, and will walk out feeling great. There usually is a wait, but by all means worth the haircut you're going to get.

I have had hair on my head for most of my life and a beard for about 4 years and no one has ever told me what to do with it and how to do it! I've been here a few times and they always listen to what you want and like and they make it work. Had my hair cut today by Anil and we discussed how best to cut my hair given the shape of my head, where my crown was and the texture of my hair, while still asking me what I like and don't like about my hair so he can create something. Always a great experience and not a bad cup of coffee! See you lads again soon!

Both Aaron and Kieran have cut my hair a few times and each cut was near perfection with a great all round service including tips on how to style my hair and some good banter. The manager Jack is also welcoming and friendly. However, I feel uncomfortable at how some of the barbers treat and speak to the front of house worker and occasionally argue with each other in front of customers. Anil, for example, seems aloof in his approach and more interested in chatting away loudly with everyone except the customer whose hair he is cutting. I would say that although the banter is good, the lads need to be careful with certain topics and refrain from debates and arguments. The service and cuts are exceptional from every barber, the customer service however is at times quite sketchy.

Always a good haircut with friendly and vibrant service and atmosphere. I've been here many times, my only negative feedback is that the queue is sometimes extremely long at prime times. But clearly this is only another indicator of the quality of its services. They also have a young lady called Beena working in one of the back rooms, who provides male grooming (Hair removal / skin treatments etc) One of the best Barbers in Brum!

Try my best to get here every 2 weeks. Living in the Solihull area, top quality barbers are very rare. You can spend half the price and get butchered in 10 minutes at Kings or pay for a premium reliable service here. I don't want to walk into my barbers thinking i might not like my hair when i come out, Its a no brainer. All members of the team make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Yes you can expect a wait, but i for one do not see that as an issue, i like to see the barber taking time and effort on each client the same as id want hem to do on my own hair. Started coming early 2016 and never looked back!

First visit Barberology! This happened when my normal hairdresser in the quarter had a bit of a que on. My first impressions of the the place is that it's really nicely styled, good environment, plus totally clean and tidy. (needed in a babours) The guys are professional with regards the setup, knowledge and skills, but also have a good helping of friendly banter that make the place warm. I can't remember the blokes name that cut my hair. (sorry). All I know is, this is a direct quote " he had ants in his pants and it made him wanna dance".. Anyways top bloke and a cracking hair cut. Will definitely go back.

I first walked into Barberology after reading an article in the Birmingham Mail in 2016, having previously had your normal £10 haircuts i didnt know what to expect, i waited and was seen to by a gentleman called Jack. I explained what i wanted etc... he advised and told me what he thought would best suit my hair type and so i let him take control.... to this day i would never go anywhere else, the cut is consistent and top quality! The banter in the shop is something that other shops should be enviable of. The manager Adam top bloke! Life long customer now and i feel as if im part of the family there. Not to mention Jordan who does a cracking cup of tea and goes the extra mile from hanging your coat up to getting you a cold beer from the fridge. Top boys and an even better haircut!

First experience here was faultless. However last time was questionable. Made it quite clear to the barber what I wanted unfortunately he didn't take this on board and proceeded to cut my hair how he wanted which in turn looked horrendous. Hair on top had volume and lift like I have never seen and fade into the sides just didn't suit the style on top. Please guys in future listen to the customer cause I no you can do a fantastic job but on this occasion it was below average.

Hands down the best barber shop I’ve ever set foot in. I first visited Barberology having been visiting a few lower-end shops around town about 18 months ago and haven’t looked back. I couldn’t help but feel when visiting other barbers that I was being given a cut from a template, despite how descriptive I tried to be, and always felt I was moving further away from the best possible cut. First trip to Barberology and I landed in Kieran’s chair, he had a quick look and immediately explained what needed to be done to tailor my hair to compliment my head and jaw shape – I was sold, I knew I came to the right place. This is exactly what the discerning gent wants from a barber when getting a cut means an opportunity to look and feel good as opposed to just cutting the hedges back so don’t get called a goth by your nan. I’ve had several cuts from both Kieran and Jack and have never been disappointed. You’ll have a consultation before your cut begins during which you’ll be able to request advice or let them know if you fancy switching it up from your regular cut, so you’ll never feel they’re cutting your hair out of habit. These gents don’t just apply cuts, they prescribe them, and you’ll leave the shop with the cut which flatters you most. If you show an interest in your hair and take advantage of their knowledge, you can expect to be educated on your hair also, and will get all the tips you need on styling and maintaining your look until your next visit. All of the barbers there are clearly passionate about what they do and you can see it as they get excited by different hair types walking through the door, and often try to call shotgun on the cut! You’ll get to enjoy some good craic on the shop floor while you wait, but please be warned you may experience some life altering puns during your stay.

I am very particular who cuts my hair as I unfortunately posses a TERRIBLE hairline and have tried all the big name barbers to no avail. I have now stumbled across Adam at barberology... I can not fault the quality of service that you receive as well as all the staff being friendly and professional. Its not a rushed job just so they can get to the next customer to make more money, the time and effort they put into each cut more than justifies the price. Right. So before I went to this Barber Shop, I read the reviews. There were some negative reviews on here that led me to thinking this might not be the place for me. I bit the bullet and popped along to Barberology. When I was there, I was greeted by a very well decorated shop, with a modern take on the old vintage barbershop theme. I waited less than 15 minutes to be served and when I did, it was by a young gentleman called Aaron. Whilst sat in the chair, he took the time to look at my current haircut/style and how my beard was trimmed and what haircut he felt would suit my look and how to trim my beard. Throughout the whole haircut, he kept me informed as to why he was doing the various things he was doing. He seemed very knowledgeable about hair, hair cutting and beards. I felt totally at ease with the work he was doing. He also was happy to take his time. There have been other barbers I have been to (if its in Birmingham city centre, trust me I have been) and spent around 45 mins on my hair and beard. By the end of the haircut, it looked amazing. my beard has never ever been trimmed that well. He did mention and point out throughout the haircut areas where my previous barber had made mistakes and to be honest I appreciated the comments. I always felt my old haircut never suited me well, my fade started way too high, my fringe wasnt appropriately trimmed which overall contributed to my haircut making my head look a funny shape. Overall, I feel my haircut was brilliant, my beard was trimmed and oiled to perfection and I plan on going back again. The overall price was £36 (beard £16, haircut £20) and then I tipped an additional £10 ontop. I felt this was a price worth paying, having a good haircut is priceless when it comes to my profession and I will be visiting again soon.

Went to barberology for the first time expecting the best and got the best! I decided to have a complete makeover after growing my hair for 3 years and the sheer dedication and time put in by my barber (Aaron) particularly stuck out to me. Not only this but the end product was superb as well and I genuinely came away feeling brilliant about myself which is something I suspect few other places can offer! This is without mentioning the great chat and hospitality I received when going there which made me feel more like one of them than a first timer. May 2019- Sam Whitty is the barber that all barbers need to look up to! Professionalism, skill, care, no stress, best fade I’ve had!
