Easy to book online, great communication and reminders. My overall experience was terrific. Welcomed at the door, efficient staff and my chosen stylist introduced himself and made me feel comfortable immediately. Craig cut and styled my hair, he was proficient and understood exactly what I wanted, washed cut and blow dried in an hour, I felt great. My hair looks and feels amazing, I will definitely be returning.

I’ve a few bad hairdresser experiences so wanted to try James Bushell. Georgie at the Solihull branch gave me the exact haircut I wanted - I’m so happy with my hair and it’s restored my confidence in hairdressers. Friendly staff and lovely salon in a convenient location. Parking is easy too.

When I went it was my first time visiting this salon very nervous due to change of style from jaw length style to pixie, and different colour, I was made to feel very welcome, introduced to Graig who sat and listened to what I wanted and gave me idea’s. I always think the sign of a great cut is whether it's easy to manage after the trip to the salon. After my first visit for a cut and finish by Craig I'm so impressed that I will be back. Craig really listened to what I wanted and also advised on my hair colour which needed improvement. A great experience! Recommend highly. Went back for colour and I couldn't be more happy. I have just returned from my first time at James Bushell Edgbaston, and what can i say Sammy has given me the most amazing wash, cut and blow dry which exceeded my expectations. WOW! Craig did my hair today and I was absolutely blown away by his talent. I haven’t been to the hair dressers is over 10 years and my hair was very long down to my bottom! I was extremely nervous and apprehensive about getting it cut but ALL the staff from the receptionist to the hair washing to Craig, I was made to feel relaxed and in good hands! My mum came with me for a girly day out and they kept her entertained and topped up with a cup of tea at all times so that was a lovely little touch. Today was my first visit to the salon. On first impressions it was very modern, friendly and a good buzz type atmosphere. Was plenty of chatting going on. My stylist was named Craig and he knew exactly what I meant when I explained my disappointment in my latest haircut (the week before) and that my hairstyle was rubbish and desperately needed some shape. He worked his magic and made it look how I imagined, we still have a couple of haircuts to go to get the exact style I want but I am confident Craig can get me where I want to be. I always have an amazing experience at James Bushell. Allan has been doing my colour for over 10 years and I’ve followed him from other salons. We have a thorough consultation at the start and he gives great advice - though I often let him just get on with it as he knows what suits me and what works- I’m never disappointed. We also have a a really good laugh throughout. And James Bushell has been cutting my hair for years; my hair is very thick but Jamie knows exactly what to do to make it manageable and looking fab way beyond just walking out of the salon. Yes it can sometimes be tricky to get an appointment, so you have to plan in advance - but it’s a busy buzzing salon with loads of atmosphere, flowing drinks and great head massages to top it off!

What a fabulous experience at James Bushell Salon, I have used many different salons over the years, but I have become a loyal fan of James Bushell. The whole experience from the moment you walk in the door is exactly what you want out of a hair salon. All the staff put you at ease, make you feel comfortable and in control about what it is you want. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone who wants more than a haircut or colour but a truly all rounded trip to the salon. Indeed its my couple of hours off from the kids! Cheers guys.

I first came here in 2015, and I have never gone to other salon since! I have my hair coloured, full head of highlights done by Alan! Love him, he’s amazing. His skills are ridiculously good and I would never change, he’s a genius when it comes to colouring and gives such good conversation! makes you feel so welcomed and amicable. Tace is the best colourist ever. I've been going to her for 10 years. Even when she is extremely busy she finds the time to have a quick chat, and always has a smile on her face. Lovely salon, clean, relaxed, staff are wonderful. You will be offered a coffee, or any other drink at least five times by their staff only because a member of staff doesn't know you were already offered a drink. And they have several different newspapers on the coffee table. Absolutely the best salon in Birmingham.

Amazing experience at James Bushell yesterday. I am a natural brunette and Soph gave me an ashy blonde balayage (something I didn't think would be achievable with my dark hair). Looks and feels amazing - probably the best and most natural looking balayage I've ever had. Harriet did a great cut too. Hair? What hair? Hair is so... 2016. And we all know how that year went. What I'm talking about here is way beyond hair. It's about an experience where you go into a place dejected and come out refreshed, enlightened, and of course extremely good looking. It's a stylistic experience. No, it's not. It's a life experience. Whoever James Bushell is, he did well to hire Kim as a stylist at the Edgbaston branch. Kim is an oasis of calm in a mad world. Kim is the hair whisperer. She doesn't need to style your hair, it just obeys her command and sorts itself out. Leaving her with time to nurture your fragile mind beneath the skull which all that hair was covering. Seriously, as a customer with pretty high expectations, and having been to many salons and specialist barbers, I couldn't have had better service from a more professional, pleasant, and likeable person. The staff here are lovely professional and understand that your hair means everything they give an amazing service everytime from The minute you walk through the door from reception to the moment you leave the chair I always feel relaxed always a pleasurable experience l always leave James Bushall knowing that my hair looks amazing I travel past 20 salons to get to Birmingham but the drive is very much worth the time when I get there.

China is the charming, welcoming hostess at James Bushell, and she's the first face you see when you enter that magical place. From that point on, you are treated like royalty. A kind word, a warm drink, the small details that make a chore into a joy. When I've been checked in to the salon by China, I feel like I've been checked into the finest business class lounge in the world's best airport. Nothing is too much, and your comfort is the highest priority. Problem is, wherever I go I now expect this level of service. I'm spoiled. It's only when you've truly experienced excellence at James Bushell that you start noticing mediocrity everywhere else. And it's simply not good enough. So for now, when I need a lift, I know where to find it. There's a new superpower in the world. And her name is China.

He worked with a terrible haircut and turned it into something super cute!! I was having a bad emotional day and every member staff made me feel really valued and comforted me when I got emotional.
