The warm welcome and attention to detail is what makes this place so popular. They have always done my hair to such a high standard, that it makes going back a real pleasure. Good to book. Private functions. VIP grooming Ps. Peters a fantastic singer. From above the shop (last Sat of every month, 6-7 ) he sings to adoring fans below. An hour of delightful cabaret for charity.

We visited Peter Joannou male grooming during our romantic weekend in Brighton. My partner and I decided to treat ourselves with some pampering. He had a haircut, shaving, steam hot towel facial massage. One would say that it is slightly expensive but it was so worth it! My partner enjoyed it and relaxed. The shaving lasted more than a day when normally his beard grows back within a few hours! I would love to know their secret technique! He really had a wonderful and relaxing experience.

I see josh twice a month for my hair cut and he does an amazing job. Every time he is always friendly and listens to what i want. I also really like Pete and James too. They are all very friendly and nice and welcoming. I can highly recommend a Facebuff and shave, which i had done by James when he joined the salon. Keep up the great work guys :-)

By far the best barber in Brighton, taking their time, the cut and shave is amazing. Attention to detail is spot on, I have never had a better cutthroat shave than here. Don't think there is better quality for money than from Peter, Josh and James.

Propper old fashioned high quality hair cutting service. Just passing through Brighton and walked into here by chance. Best place I've been to for a cut, in the UK. High attention to detail and it was refreshing not to be chatted at. I paid £20 for a cut and paid on card. Was offered refreshments, eyebrows, cut throat on back of the neck. Being the type of person to never leave reviews, my haircut with Peter left me feeling compelled to make an exception. Having lived in Brighton as a student for 4 years, I have tried many different hairdressers ranging from low priced barbers aimed especially for students to higher end hairdressing salons. I was instantly made to feel welcome upon entering the salon and although I had not made an appointment, Peter was able to see to me straight away. The amount of time, care and attention he put into the cut made you feel very individual and important unlike other salons where you can be made to feel like just another client that needs to be quickly dealt with and shooed away ready for the next one. I am so glad I found this little gem in the South Lanes and for anyone seeking a welcoming and friendly salon which produces very high quality results I would strongly recommend this place. This has been by far the best salon I have been to in Brighton both in terms of quality and value for money. Also with a 15% discount for students I recommend this to all students in Brighton as I doubt you will come across a better salon at such a competitive price!

I got there for the first time on a Monday with 15 min to spare and it was already late and was met by a friendly guy and should have booked for the next day but I returned the following day and he was just finishing cutting a client when the other barber offered to do my hair and I was a bit reluctant But I only had a trim on the sides which he did a good job of but it took 10 min so I was unpleasantly surprised to pay £17 when I did not have a proper cut In Portugal one of the best hairdressers charges €20 and takes an hour to cut my hair including a wash so I gladly tip them €5 So it was over the top but next time I will wait to get a proper full on cut if they are going to charge me for the full amoiunt
