How lucky we are in Bristol to have Atelier, they are a truly talented bunch. From someone who got the train back to London for a hair cut and colour, I can hand on heart say this salon is amazing, I always walk out of there with a smile on my face and hair that I love, as well as having had a good chat and a shoulder massage. Ella has created a wonderful setting with a great team, all very friendly and in tune with current trends, products and very knowledgeable about their craft. As a working mother these haircuts have literally carried me through the toughest of times and sleepless nights. The pandemic highlighted how important hairdressers are, well these guys are totally amazing and I can’t recommend them enough.

Atelier is the best salon I’ve ever been to, and I lived in London a long time. Ella has been doing my hair for over 6 years, and I always look forward to going in, being pampered with their complimentary pre-cut ritual treatment & catching up with the team. She always has an amazing team and the vibe of the place is just spot on. Cat also did my nails recently and it’s the best Gel manicure I’ve ever had, stayed on for weeks. And I was offered a beer! I have been coming to this salon for a couple of years and I absolutely love it. Henry has been doing my hair colour and cuts for a few years now and I always leave feeling like a different person. He completely understands what I am hoping to achieve and always hits the mark. I have also had lovely Ella doing my hair and just like Henry, she is so knowledgeable about what would suit me, whether it’s with my colour or a cut. I cannot recommend this salon highly enough. Everyone is really friendly and they are a fabulous team! If you want a lovely pamper and to leave feeling like a brand new person, this is the place to come to!

Ella and her team have been cutting my hair for 8 years so it was an obvious decision to ask Ella to style my hair and my bridesmaids hair on my wedding day! During the trial session Ella took my Pinterest inspiration and tried 2 styles: a long boho braid and the same braid re-worked into a bun with lots of volume! On the day Ella and her team were outstanding, they were a dream to have with the bridal party getting ready, working with each bridesmaids hair and individual style. As for my hair, I felt like a mermaid princess! We used a hair vine that Ella incorporated so seamlessly. My hair lasted all day, didn’t need any tidying and I got so many compliments on it! She framed my face with tousled pieces so strategically placed that I didn’t have to touch my hair at all. Would always recommend Ella and her team, she’s a real gem and I would never let anyone else touch my hair ☺️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been to Atelier a few times but it was the first time I have had my hair cut with Kat. She was incredible. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but Kat helped me and advised me on products and treatments to improve the health of my hair. I can’t recommend her enough. I will now be booking in with her every time. As someone with high expectations, I have visited various Bristol salons over the years, including high end salons and small hairdressing shops. In my view, Atelier is THE BEST! The customer service is fantastic and the staff group are friendly, warm and welcoming. Ella is absolutely awesome and I have been thrilled with my colour and cut on both occasions. My only regret is that I didn't discover Atelier until 3 months ago. I've never had such outstanding service or a better cut and colour in any other salon. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

As someone who finds having their hair cut quite stressful, I would highly recommend Atelier! It has such a lovely vibe, feels really friendly and welcoming, and you get a little head and neck massage before you even get started which is blissful. I have my hair done with Kat and find that she really takes the time to listen to what I would like done with my hair, and how I want it to feel afterwards, which in my experience most other hairdressers don't do!

Just returned home after another fabulous experience at Atelier Clifton. I never leave reviews but have been motivated to do so after reading a recent post. I can not believe that they visited the same salon. It has made me so upset on Atelier's behalf! Ella has been my stylist for many years now and I would never go anywhere else. Not only is she a superb, intuitive, creative stylist but she has also been incredibly thoughtful and supportive during the pandemic. I developed a health condition in 2020, which meant that Covid was particularly challenging for me and Ella and the whole team bent over backwards to create a safe environment for me, so that I could continue to have something to look forward to - getting my hair done is the one outing I have now and they make it special. I have been to salons with an uncomfortable atmosphere, but Atelier is the opposite of that - everyone is extremely welcome and I could not recommend it more highly.

I was really pleased with the finished nails and my hands and feet felt lovely. I also enjoyed the massage chair an added extra whilst having my pedicure. The prices are fair, the end product is always good, and the staff are lovely. I'm not ashamed to say that I stalked Ella down after she left a previous salon to set up her own gorgeous place - I don't trust anyone else with my hair now, if you have unruly, curly hair like mine you'll know what it means to find someone who can not only tame it but make it look great! The salon is classy and luxurious (especially the spa part downstairs) but not all intimidating and always very welcoming. The head, shoulder and hand massages make it a real pampering experience too. Ella, Henry and the team are genuinely passionate about what they do and really take time to work out what you want. Even when it's busy it always feels calm. You might find cheaper but you won't find better - and your hair is the one thing you wear 24/7 so it's worth paying a bit more...

Cannot rate this salon enough! Usually, as a bloke, things like a tranquil space, head, neck & shoulder massage and a consultation are never thought of when scheduling the bi-monthly 'mop chop' but here at Atelier, its second nature. The quality of my consultation was excellent from Ella. Had quite a hilarious and engaging conversation about the 'Partridge (Alan) vs the Cooper (Bradley). Needless to say I plumped for the Cooper - who knows maybe in time I will take my place on the red carpet. And in the interim, I will continue to visit Atelier, in particular Ella, so they can maintain my new found 'do' Thanks again A team - keep up the great work!

A hair salon with a difference!! From the moment you enter to the moment you leave you feel pampered. The decor is luxurious without being over the top and you get free mini massages throughout your haircut (head, shoulder, and hand). Most importantly the friendly and no-nonsense staff know exactly what they are doing and really listen to what it is you want. Of course they have plenty of their own creative ideas too if you need some advice or inspiration! Would recommend to anyone but especially people who don't usually enjoy going to the hairdressers!

Ella had created the most beautiful hair and beauty salon and gathered a team of truly lovely, talented and wickedly funny staff. I have been looking for a new hairdressers for about 18 months since mine went back to he hometown 200+ miles away. I've been in top end salons across Bristol looking for someone who could tame my exceptionally thick hair and give me a really good, precision cut and cut my hair evenly. Each time I've left feeling pretty deflated and it seems that this is beyond the stylists I've been too. I booked in with Atelier with nervousness - the reviews were good, but reviews had been good for the other salons I'd visited. I took the advice of the exceptional helpful Tori and was booked in with Emelya. From the outset she asked question after question, how I liked this, what I didn't like about other cuts, what products I used etc. etc and clearly in her mind she was building up a picture. I can honestly say that this was the best 'first' haircut with a new stylist I have EVER had! It is exceptional, it looks like it has been cut by someone who cares, it has body, its has a style, it is neat, it is even - what else can I saw. Emelya is a truly talented professional. Book me my next visit - I have found my regular salon now, at long last!!! Hurray!!

Absolutely amazing! Had the most wonderful pregnancy massage with Jasmine. From head to toe, a full hour of bliss whilst made to feel incredibly comfortable throughout. I am 8 months pregnant and have never had this before but wish I had done this sooner. I was looked after at every level to the highest standard and not rushed whatsoever. Jasmine did an amazing job with a very relaxing and gentle massage all over and I was carefully supported with the pregnancy pillow. This is a great way to relax and feel pampered whilst pregnant and I would highly recommend this to anyone, either buying for yourself or as a present to someone. With all the extra stress your body takes whilst being pregnant, I can't rate this massage highly enough and want to thank Jasmine again for such a lovely experience. Thank you!

Ella and the team at Atelier provide the most relaxing and wonderful experience when you go there to have your haircut. Not only are they incredibly professional and brilliant and what they do - Ella's skill is really listening to what you want, interpreting exactly the look you are hoping for and making it happen - but the atmosphere is so relaxing and nurturing you'll want to spend the day there sipping coffee, chatting with the team and hanging out. It's the extras that make it so much more than just a hair salon - back and neck massage at the start, lovely coffees, hand massages while your colour sets and a really relaxed atmosphere. I also totally trust their judgement on what will suit me and that's what also makes it such a lovely place. I highly recommend it and wouldn't go anywhere else.

I used to go to Mayfair in London to get my haircut, even for a fringe trim (bit extra, I know!). Now I'm happy to say I'm a total Atelier addict!! It's classy without being pretentious, relaxing without being 'floaty', all the staff are highly skilled and also hilarious, but not in an overly HAHAHA in your face kind of way! Have had cuts with most of the team now, from Ella (the boss lady), to Tori and Emelya, Henry and Julia and also MUST mention the spa. It's like a whole little secret world downstairs and Shay is also up to Mayfair standards (!) and beyond for magic massage and facials, speedy and thorough waxing (no messing about!), professional and pampering. So yes, overall, I'd say go, but pls don't take my appointment slot! x
