This was my first visit to Bosscut and I chose them because of the very high number of 5-star reviews, probably the highest number I've ever seen for a local business. Too good to be true? Absolutely not. An exceptional experience with every detail you can imagine thoughtfully considered, from the moment you walk in the door until you leave with perhaps the best cut that I've ever had from a barber. Caroline, the hairdresser who looked after me was brilliant, I cannot recommend her highly enough. I'm not local, but I'd travel for these guys. Absolutely great job, Guys.

Caroline has now been cutting Arthur’s hair for nearly a year and it’s always such a great experience. He’s 11 right now and very chatty and Caroline always makes the effort to engage in conversation with him. They both get on really well and Caroline knows how to make sure he is at ease and stays still when he needs to. The hair cuts are always very professionally done. The fades are always done so accurately and his hair and fringe is layered perfectly. He loves getting his hair cut by Caroline and I love the great coffee and atmosphere at Boss Cuts. A great effort by the whole Boss Cuts team!

I have been to BossCut a couple of times now and the staff are all extremely friendly and will find mutual interests to make conversation and it makes the time fly! Most recently I was with the new barber Lake, who took the time to make sure I was happy with the haircut as we went through ( I had a lot coming off the top ) to make sure i was happy with the length as it was getting shorter. Cannot recommend him highly enough for his patience and conversational skills!

Kids or Adults, highly recommended. The team are always great with the kids and they make the experience a fun one. Beautiful decor and a really friendly warm welcome at BossCut - with the smell of freshly ground coffee in the air. Plenty of drinks options whilst you wait (if you're early that-is - as they always seem to be running bang on time). Great buzz and atmosphere in the place too. Pretty extensive list of barber and salon services/treatments; they seemingly do it all. Always excellent haircuts from Liv [Olivia] who is super-friendly, attentive, with a nice amount of chat and does a really superb job. BossCut also hosts the 'Men in Mind' mental health support group which is an incredible gesture and help to the community - and goes to show they care about what's IN your head as well as what's ON it. Well done them. An excellent service and experience, easy to book online, well priced and with convenient car parking nearby; would highly recommend.

I visited the salon twice this week with different children. My experience on both occasions was excellent. Both hairdressers, Oscar and Olivia were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make my children feel comfortable. A stylist checked both cuts. I felt the salon was doing their best to combat COVID with all staff wearing masks and regular cleaning. I appreciated the nice cups of tea and the fringe trim for my little one. Convenient location, easy to park and reasonable prices. Happy to return.

Came here since my normal barber was not able to book me in. Booking online was a little problematic in finding what I really wanted as there was too much choice and little logic in the options. I selected a normal, 20 minute cut with a ‘master’ since I wanted a hand cut. The welcome was lovely and I was offered a cup of tea. Erfan was very pleasant, putting on a mask when I asked, and cut my hair very well. I was very happy overall with the result and it was a very good experience. The email booking experience has made me mark it down slightly.

My boys have gone from not enjoying having their hair cut to asking to go and see their stylists and both of them talk about Ethan & Caroline in between cuts. Took our little one for his first hair cut today and Caroline was amazing with him. They were all really supportive and welcoming making our little boy feel really relaxed and not stressed. They offered him a drink, let him get used to his surroundings and were really flexible to ensure he got his hair cut without getting upset or frightened including letting him move about, giving him an iPad to watch some cartoons etc. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better service. They also gave us some locks of hair in a little envelope which was a nice touch. We will definitely continue to use Boss Cuts for his hair cuts and would recommend anyone with little ones to go there.

Bosscut is a refreshing barber experience for me. I had no idea of the service and treatment I’d receive and I was blown away: coffee, tea, soft drinks, comfy sofas and arcade games for the kids, as well as the impressive decoration and first rate staff. The hair cut was a full service including hair washing which made me feel like I was really well looked after. My son and I have had our hair cut by several barbers and all have been excellent. This gives peace of mind meaning it’s easy to book a convenient time slot for us rather than having to wait for a particular barber to be free and book a slot then. All in all a brilliant place and I’ll keep coming back because my hair keeps growing!

This review is following my 8 year old sons appointment. We had booked with Caroline however as she was running late we were given the option of waiting, or an appointment with another member of the team. My son was happy to have his hair cut by Ella. As he had decided to have his curls cut a lot shorter she showed him picture to double check what he wanted. Ella was great and kept consulting him and as a result he now has a very smart hair cut that means he doesn't have to keep flicking the hair out of his eyes!

The shop itself has a good atmosphere and isn't pokey and small like your typical Men's barbers. The senior barber Mike really knows his stuff and loves a good chat. I arrived for my appointment and the first thing I had to tell Ella was that I've got stress-induced alopecia, which causes a tennis ball-sized balding spot at the front of my head, above my forehead. Over lockdown my stress and depression worsened significantly, causing more hair to fall out, which of course then caused more depression... and so the cycle goes on... Ella was incredibly understanding but - best of all - sensitively pragmatic and clearly thinking 'strategically' (if that isn't a strange term to apply to cutting hair!) We had a chat about changing my parting and about taking weight out of the hair by cutting off length and adding in lots of layers to create lift. She also changed the shaping around my face, which I think distracts the eye from the thinning patch really nicely. Ella gave really thoughtful advice about how colour might also be used to help improve the overall appearance. This was fantastic news as in the past I used to dye my hair very regularly, and I have missed the fun that comes with that sort of creative expression, so this really lifted my spirits and I had a patch test upon leaving. I am excited about booking in for a colour soon. Thanks Ella, I left the salon feeling amazing.

I’ve been going to these guys since they opened and have had a fantastic level of service each and every time! 👍🏻 Back before Covid you could go in and play on the retro arcade table whilst you were waiting and they had tablets for children to use either during their cut or whilst you had yours. I took my autistic son along with me on a few occasions to help him get used to the different sounds and environment of a barbers (supervised with another adult!) and they were all amazing with him to! Since Covid, they have continued with their exemplary standards making sure everyone is a safe as they can be during their visit. There’s a very different atmosphere in the salon, in a very positive way. You’re always greeted and treated like you’re an old family friend popping by! Can’t recommend enough!! This place is a real blessing for Portishead! Somewhere to get a quality haircut, with a top-notch customer service (including a complimentary coffee while you wait), and, most importantly, no queues! The shop is split over several floors and there are Barbers and hairdressers galore, who each specialise in their own area. Our whole family have been - including the kids! They have iPads and computer games to keep the little ones entertained, which is a huge bonus. It's a quality family-run place, and you feel a genuine welcome when you arrive. Another bonus is that they are really mental health aware at BossCut, and run a regular support group as part of 'The Lions Barber Collective' (Google it!).

I hate having my hair cut but this place made it seem more like a treat than a chore. Parking was easy and the place was spacious. Just need to offer a few more treatments such as brows and nails. Thanks to Muz and his team this feels like a real caring business. I will be back in 3 weeks.😜
