Most professional place Ive been to get my hair cut! Franco was extremely knowledgable, friendly and did a great job on consulting and cutting my hair. My hair had been in very bad condition due to not really knowing how to look after it, after some time with him feel confident in keeping it healthy. Would definitely recommend!

Ever since moving to Bristol I was on the lookout for a Barber's that I could feel comfortable in and always leave happy... it's not that easy these days. After many failed attempts I ended up here and I have to say I've been blown away by the kindness of staff and the professionalism they all show. Franco the boss of the place is very friendly and always stops to say hi even if he's not working on your hair. My first Barber was Lee who was an amazing lady that has sadly moved on but she handed me over to a lovely woman called Aga who is simply brilliant at her craft. I always leave feeling confident and happy, she always cheers me up and spends a lot of time ensuring she's done the best job - they're really a credit to themselves here, I really can't see me going anywhere else in the future. I'd highly recommend the beard experience if you're a bloke that fancies a pampering now and again - it's worth every single penny and more.

There are tonnes of barber shops in Bristol, so you could waste time and money trying to find a barber that you can trust and consistently provides a great professional service, or you could simply go to Franco’s! There is always a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. What I enjoy at Franco’s is the effort they take to provide a personalised service and provide helpful suggestions regarding hair products and styles. All the staff and clients wear masks and antibac the surfaces before you sit down. I would highly recommend Franco’s to anyone - save your time and money and just book your next appointment here!

I went to Franco's for the first time to get my beared trimmed, and I originally had no Idea what I wanted. So I left it up to Franco which was the best Idea I could ever make. My beared has a lot more Structure now and is actually now revealing its true length. He also gave me advice on how to style it and keep it in shape, very professional advise. I have also booked the beared experience which was definetly a treat, and absolutely worth it to just relax and give your skin the treatment it deserves! I had my hair cut here yesterday with Luke. I showed a few pics of the style I wanted, and we were immediately on the same page. I really enjoyed him describing the process of what he was doing, and as well as a great casual chat, I was informed about the details of my hair in a way I hadn't been told before. I came away feeling great because the hair cut was exactly what I wanted and it had great texture. It was excellent value with Luke too, as he has just started at Franco's. They have an app that you can see which barber charges what on what days, or you can just go in and talk to them first, which is what I did. Highly recommended! Thanks Luke!

There is a huge amount of competition on the Gloucester Road when it comes to barbers. I have tried a few over the years but none come close to the professional, quality service provided at Franco's. Booking your trim through their website is a piece of cake and ensures you get the barber of your choice each time. I've had 3 very different hair styles from long to short over the past few years and they have adapted to each easily and professionally. They are always on hand to recommend quality hair products which they keep in good stock. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I've visited Franco's Barbering Lounge for the first time today, because I decided to grow my hair out and could use some tips + styling to make the journey easier. I was serviced by Lee and I must say, the experience was stellar - the cut looks amazing, she gave me plenty of advice on styling and caring for my hair, not to mention a very lovely conversation during the process. Even though the price is higher than more 'basic' hairdressers, I think it was very much worth every penny and I have absolutely no regrets. If I find myself living in Bristol ever again, I will definitely pay another visit!

Visited Franco for a beard trim and left with a seemingly Bigger beard! Having allowed my beard to grow out of control I decided that it was time to trim it down to a very short and more manageable beard. Franco took the time to explain why my beard was in that state and instead suggested a care routine that will allow my beard to unfurl and reach its full potential. After demonstrating this routine he then styled the remaining beard while removing minimal hairs and presented me with a well-groomed, dense beard that I am very proud of! Highly recommended!

We booked Francos as a group of 7 to start our day off for our friends stag do. He has a very big beard and was nervous to start with but the team were absolutely fantastic with everyone. Juliette the booking manager was fantastic, taking everyones details and working out a bespoke treatment plan for each person based on their preferences and beard/hair styles. Every one of the barbers were fantastic, had great chats and did a great job and there were many other little touches, like for example they let us have exclusive use of the venue and played a playlist we had given them to play. It set up our day fantastically and we would absolutely go back. If youre planning a party, stag do or whatever - this is a great way to get your day started!

I tried to book Franco’s just after lock down, but as with ‘most’ places the wait was another 3 weeks and so I went with a quicker option - Today I managed to book and wondered if the positive reviews I had read were genuine or like many others made up? I had used the same barber in London for many years, he was a real craftsman and loved his work. So when I recently moved to Bristol I wanted to find the same. I chose to go to Franco after reading loads of positive reviews. The first time I visited him I booked online and opted to pay a little extra for more consultation time in the chair to discuss what I was after. Straight away I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge and it was obvious he is a master of his trade. I walked away feeling great about my cut and with a fantastic hair product that I would never have thought of using that really helps to create and maintain the style. Today was my second visit and I’m happy to say that Franco is definitely the barber I was looking for in Bristol. Other than being highly skilled, he’s also a great guy with good banter. This is my second Google Review, I reserve them for incredibly important estabishments. The first review was designated to my outstanding local Chinese Restaurant that I recommend to pretty much every person I meet. Franco's Barbering Lounge is exactly what I search for when getting a hair cut. I've spent years chopping and changing (aha) in order to find the right place that would give me a comfortable experience, not rush my haircut, do their best to make me feel welcome every time, and that operates professionally and consistently. I would recommend Franco's to anyone that is looking for a high end cut and experience. I would also highly suggest booking online for the next day, you won't be waiting around at all and the experience is just miles better. There is a built-in consultation with a haircut at Franco's, meaning they take the time to discuss with you what it is you're looking for, ruling out guess-work and making sure that every step is in the right direction. Couldn't give more than 5 stars, but I would if I could!

I usually don't do reviews but they are one of the only barbers in bristol that is able to cut my hair properly. I have a 1950's style haircut which requires scissor work and traditional lines and I've never left Franco's with that sad smile at the end where you pretend they did a good job. All the barbers are very friendly and professional too. It's more expensive than many (£20-35 depending on who you get and what you want done) but you get what you pay for.

Really nice friendly atmosphere, you get greeted straight away and offered a coffee. As a woman with short hair sometimes it can feel uncomfortable going into a barbers but they put me at ease straight away. Had my hair cut twice now by Luca - he's got great chat and does a good fade, as well as giving tips on what would work/not work for my hair. It's a bit more expensive than some other barbers but it's worth it for a good cut and a nice experience.

I've gone to Franco's Barbering Lounge off an on whilst i've lived in Bristol for the last 8 years. During covid my hair was in a rough state having nothing done to it and tentatively waited for a more safe time to have it cut. Looking through their what I can confidently say is an excellent website I was reassured and given all the information and more that I needed before attending. The hairdresser who performed the cut was lovely south african lady who went through different options and helped me come to a decision which I ultimately loved. Not only was the haircut I recieved the best i've ever had, but the experience was of a high quality and worth the amounts that is charged. Ive been going to Franco's for about 3years. Always receive warm welcome, a great haircut and great advice. Theres always a really great atmosphere within the shop. There was a reason why people would wait and queue out the door at the last shop, because you receive great haircut and friendly service. Now Franco has moved to a bigger shop on Gloucester Rd its even better as more of the guys are working and its a lot bigger premises. When I moved to Bristol last July I had to go by google reviews when deciding where to go for a hair cut. Thankfully, in this case it was a fantastic recommendation. I have had my hair cut multiple times by Franco, and also by Ralph and Paola, and on every occasion I have been happy with my haircut - which generally doesn't happen for me! Lee is the best! Bought beard experience for my boyfriend for Christmas. He had his appointment with Lee, she is amazing! She made sure we were both happy with a result. He got full spa treatment, massage, shave, beard forming, even did his eyebrows, plugged nose hair, removed blackheads and told him how to take care of his beard on his own. Absolutely excellent. Went in for a restyle and Gianluca took time to talk in through with me, and worked me through the whole styling process. He took care with his work, the conversation was easy and he even lowered the cost of my cut from a restyle to a normal cut at the till (apparently what I consider a restyle isn't quite ambitious enough to qualify). I was very glad I made an appointment, as on a Saturday afternoon the place was packed. I've just moved to the Bristol area and I'm happy to say I've finally got my barber sorted.

The whole process at Franco's is a dream, booked Friday evening - in the chair Saturday morning. It was my first time at Franco's and like anyone was anxious about getting a cut somewhere new. Luca did a fantastic job at abating my fears, firstly we discussed my hair and my styling history and what I had in mind for the next cut. Then he gave me some advice on what he thought would look best and what kind of style I should go for. Throughout the cut Luca was chatty and vivacious with not a dull moment occurring. Afterwards, he told me all about the pitfalls and mistakes I could make when coming to style my hair as he had done. This was eye-opening, I've not had a barber ever explain my hair in such detail while keeping it simple for me to understand. Incredibly welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and a great haircut. Listen, I’ll be honest. Franco’s can be a bit stuck up and over the top. Another one of those overly pretentious barber shops set up to make millennials feel better about paying 30 quid for having your hair cut. However, that isn’t what’s important about Franco’s. What’s important about Franco’s is the barber Lee who works there. She’s the best barber in Bristol, and you’ll feel and look like a million bucks when you leave. So at 30 quid, maybe it’s actually a steal?

Very friendly staff who I notice have a client bank built up as well as welcoming new clients (6 chairs as well so no long waiting times at all even during peak times- no need for appointments either but if you're busy, you can make one online) and each of the barbers specialise in different haircuts as well as the standard cuts so let them know what you want and you might even get assigned someone specific. Recently gone through a revamp so the shop looks incredible and a real 'local barbershop' vibe- coffee machine if you fancy a coffee whilst you wait. I come here every other week to get my skin fade done. I only come in on one day of the week but they are open 7 days a week so I can imagine this is convenient for some people. Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed

Really decent place to get a trim from people that put you at ease about getting your hair done. People like Luca are a credit to the profession, and that's from someone who genuinely hates getting their hair cut! Only thing that prevents it getting the full five stars is the price, which has gone up from about £18 to £25 over the space of a couple of years. Could be inflation? Could be the move to the new premises and the obvious attempt to make it a bit more high-end. Either way it's turned off about 4-5 people I know who used to go there (plus myself). Loved how it was full of people from all walks of life, but it's now yuppie central. If that doesn't bother you - it's perfect!
