Had a lovely haircut by Molly Jay. She is very friendly and make you feel comfortable. She helps you to figure out the style that suits you best. She is my go-to hairdresser and never disappoints me. I always get good services and great experience. Highly recommended!

The haircut itself is okay and everyone is super nice and friendly, and they have massage chairs (yay!), but I find £80 for a hairdye that didn't come out as requested a bit steep.

After a not so positive experience, I’m glad I went back to Hairlounge to have my hair coloured and cut by Jenna. She was amazing, very thorough and attentive, I love the baby lights she did to blend my base with the rest of my hair. I also love the cut and styling. Lovely staff. Thank you, I will be back!

Had a lovely time getting my hair cut today! The massage chairs are amazing whilst getting your hair washed, the salon is contemporary without being too try hard. Yasmin did an amazing and very thorough job with my hair, really happy with it ( so much so I'm writing a review, which I never do!) and they have a salon puppy who lives out the back and is adorable! All for £29...highly recommended. Thanks guys xx

Lovely place. It was my first time at this salon: everyone was very welcoming, professional and passionate. When I arrived I was greeted immediately, and was offered a drink. They sat me down and went through my hair design and then cut it amazingly. I was made to feel comfortable the whole time. Been back and forth the hair lounge for 7/8 years. Ian always styles my hair, and I get amazing compliments about how it looks! Lucy and Jenna colour my hair and are both great as I like it to be blonde. All the staff are very friendly warm and welcoming. Love my pamper times I get when I get my hair done. Highly recommended! I never write reviews, but I had such a lovely experience at the hair lounge, I felt it would be only right to share it. The team is oustandingly professional and truly friendly. I had my haircut done by Richard, and he has so much experience and knowledge about hair. He really listened to what I wanted and then gave his input as to what would be best for my specific situation and type of hair. I've had other hairdressers rush through the cutting, but Richard took his time to get all the details right. And it shows, as I am so pleased with the outcome - I believe it's the best haircut I've ever had! The complimentary drinks and the massage chair didn't hurt neither. And on top of that, Richard also gave me lots of useful tips on how to style and care for my rather fine and flat hair, and I can already see a difference! Thank you so much Hair Lounge!

Had my hair done today by Yasmin. I needed a fix for my stripey highlights that had been done by another salon. I was feeling nervous but Yasmin went through all the options with me and really listened to what I wanted. I left the salon with lovely natural looking color and not a single stripe in sight! Today was my first time visiting Hair Lounge, I had to rearrange the times twice, even though it was a pain I was never made to feel like I was being so. Upon entering the salon I was kindly greeted by a girl at the desk (she had stepped out of the salon to wave at me because I was slightly lost), took my coat and offered me a drink. I had my hair done by Richard and even though he was finishing with his previous client, he still made a conscious effort to greet me and ensure that we will have a chat once he was done. When Richard had finished with his client he then came over an introduced himself and we discussed what type of look I was going for and how he could accommodate it with my hair (it is fairly short). I won't bore everyone with the minor details of my haircut but I will say that everyone I encountered was happy and came across as passionate about their industry. Conversation flowed and I was made to feel very welcome. I have never left a hair salon before without wanting to go home immediately to style it myself, but this time I was confident enough in my hair to go straight in to town and meet up with a friend for a drink. I cannot recommend Richard and his team enough, they were absolutely fantastic, I really enjoyed my time there and they have found a client for life. Thank you so much.

My daughter needed a haircut as we were passing so called in. I am so glad we did!!! The staff were amazingly friendly and she had a great haircut. We usually just pop in to hairdressers for a trim but this was more than that. My daughter asked me to write the review and she said "It is the most respect she has had from anyone". I've used The Hair Lounge, Wellfield Road since Richard took over. Love the Redken colours - they actually look really natural instead of one flat shade. Jenna is my usual colour technician, although Lucy does a great job if she's off. Richard knows my hair so well and my style has evolved over the years. He's always realistic about what can be achieved with my very thick hair and I always get people asking where I have it done. Wouldn't go anywhere else!! And needless to say all the staff are delightful as well. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Hair Lounge is undoubtedly the Best hairdressers in Cardiff I was there many times during Covid restrictions and was comforted and impressed by the implementation of ppe, distancing, regular thorough cleaning and vigilant staff. Just marvellous !!

The atmosphere is always casually welcoming - you feel individually looked after, but without any fuss...I haven't had better haircuts anywhere, and I've been all over! You won't do better around here. Welfield Road is a handy location as well, a mini Highstreet.

Very happy with my experience today. Thank you Jess for doing my hair. I originally went to a different salon before knowing about hair lounge to be told going from blonde to brown won't look good and they offered to tone my roots only. I was very upset as haven't managed to get the right shade of blonde in a long time so fancied a change. I went to hair lounge for a consultation not expecting much and was greeted by Jess who showed me lots of possible brown shades and recommended warmer tones. Today I have gone brown and have had many compliments. Going from blonde to brown is a drastic change and I was given a lot of advise and informed if I don't like it I can go for a balayage to make it lighter. Basically everyone here is very friendly and they try their best to make sure you get the hair you want. Will Defo be coming back.
