I took my 10 year old nephew for a hair cut with Barber 💈 Laura O’Neil. She was really good with him, listened to what he wanted and made suggestions to the type of cut that would suit him. She happily chatted away and made my nephew felt so comfortable. He really enjoyed the experience. We will definitely return to Laura for his next hair cut.

This was my first visit to Lazarou Bros, Duke Street Arcade. I was recommended to go there by a young lady who works at reception at the Holiday Inn. I wanted my beard shaved off, and was given a hot towel shave by a fantastic member of staff who really is a credit to the company. Both he and his colleague were friendly, engaging and thorough. I'd only ever had one other cut throat shave before, and I really wasn't too keen. However, I need not have worried, as I was looked after so well. The end result was perfection for me, anyway. I now intend to come back to Cardiff every eight weeks or so, for a similar makeover, even though I live in London. Brilliant service, highly recommended. Much to my amazement, they even accepted credit and debit card payments, unheard of in a gentleman's hairdressers.

I came here last Friday for the first time and all I can say is WOW! Ceri knew exactly what I wanted, and worked so efficiently on giving me my desired look. Not only did my hair look amazing, it felt amazing too. It’s the most healthy it’s been in so long! I felt so looked after during the entire visit, and the salon itself is really beautiful with a great view from the window too. Couldn’t recommend any more highly if I tried.

My go to barbers wasnt open so thought I'd try this one. Easy to find and was seated straight away. Didn't have to force small chat, which I like, just sat and chilled. The barber (think his name was Luke) was brilliant, listened to what I wanted, but also gave advice on my hair style. Felt like he put a lot of time and effort into detail and gave a nice stylish cut. Would definitely go back again despite it being more expensive that what I'm used to!

I chose to visit this barber on their well known reputation in Cardiff and I was not disappointed. All the barbers were really welcoming when I came in, one even took my coat for me. Its a nice touch having tv and ipads there for you while your waiting. I had a young girl cut my hair, she was polite and cheerful when she greeted me, and made me feel comfortable throughout. I was really pleased with the finished cut, she'd clearly listened to what I wanted. The haircut was very tidy. I can't recommend this place enough. Definitely worth the money.

The man in question, Josh, listened to my requests and improved upon them, leaving me with an excellent haircut at a very reasonable price (I am a student). I was happy with my haircut, but my barber was fairly unpleasant to be around. I'm usually up for a chat, but all I heard was casual misogyny and snarky comments about how a previous customer was an idiot and a time waster for getting a skin fade because he had blonde hair. The staff were nice enough. I Went on a Sunday and the wait was about 50 mins. It was quite confusing as nobody says anything when you walk in. The haircut and shave are tidy but not as good as I thought they would be. The shave in particular left me feeling a bit butchered and I am still quite red raw on the neck and cheek where they put the line in. Even got cut by the razor at one point. In all it wasn't the worst but wasn't anywhere near the standard I had expected.

Never had a better experience at a hair salon. I very rarely have my hair cut (bad I know) and decided I wanted a change for my birthday. Ceri has made me fall completely in love with my hair again and I couldn’t be more thankful! I went with a balayage and had the best experience and my hair is in incredible condition. Weeks later and I’m still very much in love with it. Ceri was so lovely and made me feel so comfortable and made sure I left completely happy with my hair and with a huge smile on my face. The best customer service and such lovely staff all round. I’ve recommended the salon to a few people and I know of one who has been in already and another who is planning a visit. I went to Lazarou for a hair cut and beard trim. Didn't have to wait for long which is one good thing, the staff were very friendly and talkative which is nice but then a again I'm going for a banging haircut not a chat. The price was heavily over priced for what I wanted they wanted £30 but I thought I'd go ahead with it in the hope that I would get a haircut and beard trim that would match the price. To be fair the haircut was quite good, the fade wasn't amazing but it was good enough. The beard trim wasn't sharp enough though I'm afraid and the barber didn't prepare the skin enough with shave gel so it was quite a dry shave which actually agrivated the skin. If I was paying 10 or 15 quid then I wouldn't be complaining but £30 Im sorry but that is daylight robbery

I've been going here for about a year now and in that time I have never left with a bad cut no matter who is cutting your hair. Friendly greeting when you walk in and a waiting area downstairs with free coffee, TV and PS4, plus a hot towel to wipe you neck and face after the cut. Some may think it is a tad expensive at £22 but I am more than happy to pay that for the service and knowing I will walk out with a good cut each time.
