Chelsea has been working magic on my hair for years. The whole team are really, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great in the salon. Chelsea always listens and helps you achieve your hair goals. She gives excellent advice and is easy to talk too. I have a lot of hair but Chelsea is a pro and I leave with healthy beautiful hair every time. Cannot wait to go back.

Went in for a training day with Oli where I received a half head of bleach highlights, and a toner, as well having bangs cut in. Oli was great, fast and efficient without rushing. I have a lot of hair so it’s no small task and Oli was more than up to it. The salon itself is spacious and clean with a great atmosphere. I hadn’t had my hair done for over a year, with lockdowns and having a baby, so it was great to be pampered, as well as get a great colour. The photos speak for themselves.

I had an amazing experience here! Bradley did a pinkish/purple balayage on me and it came out SO vibrant. The staff were so lovely there and I am so happy with the level of care I received. If you want hair colour from subtle to crazy colours then Slunks are THE experts! If you want anything else.. Well they are still THE experts! If you have an idea of what you want then they will guide you through exactly how they will achieve that and it is a fully individual experience where you are in charge but you get to use their knowledge to make it happen. I love that they let me know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. Previously when I have been to other hair dressers then they have treated my hair like its exactly the same as anyone else's who has walked through the door and I'd look great after they styled it but then as soon as I'd washed it then I'd never get that look back or it just wouldn't look right when I wore my hair naturally. Slunks were the only ones who actually asked me what level of maintenance I was looking for, how I liked to style it and they even checked the texture of my hair and gave me a hair cut and colour to suit my crazy wavy hair and how I like to wear it. They gave me tips too so I knew how I could nail that salon look after I left. My hair always comes out feeling so healthy and this isn't a one off either as since my first time going to them, they have become MY hairdressers due to the consistent quality they provide. The friendliness, the quality and level of customer care is just second to none. As an insecure person who never really likes to toot my own horn, Slunks really have me leaving feeling beautiful but most importantly, listened too. Worth every single pound!

saw Sophie to get my hair coloured, and she was so amazing! so easy to talk to and knowlegable about what the best way to do my hair was, she gave me so many good tips on how to look after my new hair! so so kind and had so much time for me and patience bleaching my whole head, i've never felt so listened to and looked after at a hairdressers in my life, and i'm totally in love with my hair! the rest of the team were so attentive too, and the girl who took my photos at the end was so extra love her <3 can't wait to go back!!! literally cannot reccommend them enough :^) thank you so much!!! <3

Been going to Slunks for a while now and they without fail do a superb job on both hair cut and colour. Stylists and colourists and everyone is wonderfully friendly, totally non-judgemental and give amazing advice on the hairstyle YOU chose without pushing you into the their own preferences. Love Slunks! I never really felt comfortable at more traditional, local hairdressers and had consequently always associated getting my hair done with feeling awkward and disappointed. However, Slunks has a much welcome fresh attitude towards hairdressing, including alternative and modern looks! I’ve loved every experience I’ve had at Slunks. On my last visit Bradley managed to make my hair exactly as I envisioned/ as the reference image, and I left with super soft locks. Unlike other salons, I’ve never been left waiting between services, it’s a small thing, but time can really add up and get tedious, I’ve had bad experiences in the past, but Slunks seem to organise their bookings wayyyy better than every other salon. I also appreciate that they recognise when their clients are more on the quiet side. Will continue visiting.

I had my hair done by the wonderful Brad Ashton last week and I can't stress enough how much I am IN LOVE with my hair! It was my first time having it professionally coloured and the results are amazing and I've had so many compliments :) Not to mention my hair feels soft and healthy again. I came into the salon today with over bleached, dead end hair! I’ve been bleaching my hair for about 5 years now and I needed a change to warm things up. Bradley completely brought my hair back to life and made it beautiful, he created the most gorgeous shade, not too warm and not too dark and took into consideration that its a big change so created something that was in between and matched my natural hair colour (red head) so well with the warm tones so that i had easy Maintinance hair and also no noticeable root-regrowth. I left the salon feeling like a new me and I loved it! The service is fabulous! The best I have ever received in any salon I have ever been to! After a few failed attempts at dying my hair myself I decided to get it done professionally at Slunks; I knew they had a great reputation as several of my friends recommended them. They start you off with a free consultation to find out what you're after and whether it's possible, they explain all the various things they can do and only once you're totally happy with it do they book you in. I had my hair lightened and then balayaged blue/purples and I was totally blown away by the end result, I couldn't be happier. It took about 4 hours in total (mainly due to the lightening) but it felt much quicker due to the incredible staff and the friendly conversation throughout. I usually dislike getting my hair done but the entire process was so comfortable from start to finish, and I'm sure I'll be going back to Slunks in future!

If you want true words of the very best advice when it comes to colouring your hair, there is no place better. They have taken me from dark brown to almost blonde and every shade of pink in between. There is no other I would trust with bleach on my locks and no other I would want to experiment with as much as I do with these guys. If you’re thinking of colouring your hair it’s going to be an investment whatever, so make the right decision and go to people you can trust.

I had my hair balayaged here a week ago by Sophie - who had the patience of a saint hand painting each strand of my hair to go from a dull brunette to a warm blonde. On consultation Sophie filled out a form so she knew exactly what I wanted; she explained how the process would work and what to expect on end result so that my exceptions were realistic. For the amount of work that she put into making my hair look as natural as possible and the products she used, it was more than worth the price. I met other staff there too and they were all lovely and my hairdresser said that "it's so lovely to work with such talented people". The shop itself is really cool and way bigger than you realise. I can't recommend them enough - sometimes its worth spending that little more to ensure you're looked after and your hair is in professional hands. Excited for my next appointment. Thanks everyone!

The treatment is extremely reasonably priced considering the high standard and the time and effort they put into their clients hair. Everyone at Slunks is so lovely! So relaxing and friendly. My child had an appointment at the same time and they went out of their way to make sure we could sit together, even though they were super busy.

I used to dread going to get my hair done anywhere as I would feel the small talk was awkward and the stylist would always cut too much off my hair. About a year or so ago my friend recommended Slunks so I decided to make an appointment. Im so happy I did. I always enjoy my appointments here and leave really happy with my hair. Lauren really listens to what I want done with my hair and also makes recommendations of what she thinks will look good. The other stylists are always really friendly and welcoming too and I never get that 'awkward' feeling when chatting to any of them. I also never feel pressured into buying any extras. The salon itself is clean and nicely decorated and there is always good music playing. I have visited once since the new regulations have been in place and I felt really safe in the salon. Really looking forward to my next appointment.

I first came to Slunks in July 2019 and can honestly say I will never use another salon again! All the staff are so lovely and welcoming. Chris has done fantastic work on my hair, I’ve gone from red to peach and now to purple and I’m never disappointed with the results. I usually spend at least 6 hours there each time (I have very long and thick hair!) but that doesn’t bother me as I get along with Chris so well so we’re always chatting and laughing the entire time! I also love how supportive the staff are of each other. Every time I go there they are always complimenting each other’s work and it’s lovely to see. Cannot recommend this place enough 💜

I started going to slunks backin Jan 2019 when I had awfully outgrown box bleached hair which hadn't been touched in about 2 years, Chelsea completely transformed my hair and confidence when I had a gorgeous brown balayage which was easily maintained too, I've since moved away from my natural colour to a gorgeous purple and absolutely love it. Customer service is so great here and Chelsea is always so happy and friendly, it's a really welcoming environment as all the staff get on and compliment each others work and are happy to help one another if needed. I had a cut and colour with Lily a senior stylist. Probably the best cut and colour I’ve ever had and I’ve been round all the hairdressers for years in Cardiff. I went in with a vague idea of colours and Lily encouraged me to have ‘peanut butter colour’ to suit my skin tone and eye colour. I really appreciated that because it’s so hard to tell what to have and what will look good. It took most of the day but Lily offered to pop out and buy me a sandwich if I got hungry and kept offering tea or coffee. I had a great time chatting to all the staff, it was a lovely day. I will definitely go back.
