It's friendly and your made to feel welcome. They are following guidelines to the T and genuinely care/want repeat custom unlike other barbers I've experienced who want you in and out of the chair as fast as possible.

H. B.Just have to say the whole experience is fantastic. For starters their haircuts are fantastic I've never had a bad experience with the barber and always exceed my expectations! But it's not just about that. The staff are really hard working and always positive. I often struggle in social situations especially holding a conversation. However every member of staff always make me feel comfortable when cutting my hair and I always have a good chat with them. I've had great conversations and haircuts from the owner Shane especially. Took my son when he was barely 12 months old for his first cut and Shane was absolutely amazing with him. My son is now 3 and always looks forward to a hair cut at gentleman’s chair and all the staff interact with him and he loves it!
If you are looking for a cut I would suggest ringing up and booking an appointment. It’s so much more convenient and saves you waiting round.

p. p.Excellent family barbers, and very professional, which have been established for over 15 years. One of the senior barber's is also an exceptional women's stylist. Bookings are taken, or you can turn up on spec and wait, although priority is given to appointments, so best to book. There is a warm, fun and friendly atmosphere at the gentleman's chair, and it has always been popular with all ages. They also provide their own line of products, which are all good and provide value for money.

Very friendly staff, who always take the time to make the experience fun for the boys. Agree with other reviews that there can be a wait, but this is due to the popularity of Gentleman's Chair. If you don't want to wait, then you can pre book an appointment.
s.Visited today and waited an hour. Was told on phone walk ins were available but then had two 'bookings' get cuts ahead of me.
I think if this system was clearer it would save lots of stress for customers.
HOWEVER - the cut itself was the best I've had and well worth the wait. I'll be back for sure even though it isn't local to me. Very attentive and great attention to detail

M. T.The guys in there are cracking barbers and are brilliant with my son. One downside is that is is hugely busy in there at peak times and the wait for walk ins will be hours. Make sure you book. Sadly some of the children in there go with parents that let them run riot which distracts the barbers clearly. If you book though you shouldn't have the issue as much with waiting.
A. F.It's the attention to detail that sets this place out. The staff here take a lot of pride in their work and it shows. The prices are reasonable given the quality of their work. It is often rather busy, so it's worth paying an extra £2 to book an appointment.

M. H.First time coming here after being recommended by a friend, got my hair cut by a young Justin who did an amazing job, really took the time, care and precision and asked along the way if I was happy with it or wanted any changes.
Previously I'd been let down by Graham's barbers in llanishen who's standards have fallen so I decided to try here and I'm glad I have, this will be my new go to barber and being local to me is a bonus. Thanks again. 👍
