Incredible place to be. Great tunes, good chat, and most importantly, very good hair cuts. So good that I am not going anywhere else for over 10 years now. Peter cuts my hair all these years and wherever I moved in town, kept going back here. Could not ask for more. Friendly staff, always immaculate cleanliness (even before COVID). After my usual barber told me they were full, I stumbled on this place after a friend suggested it. First time i was over the moon about being told usual barber was full. Very friendly and talented staff. Listen to their suggestions because they will most likely be correct. Guy who cut my hair stopped me from asking him to basically shave my head. Great vibe, and great haircuts, would go again!

Boom Broughton Street is a brilliant, friendly Barbershop that attracts everyone from students to older lads like me. The staff are warm and chatty and most of all, the haircuts are great. Expect to pay around the £19 mark for a cut. The barbers really take their time to ensure that you're well looked after and your haircut is top notch. Ask for Stef, who is a cool, friendly guy who has great hair and gives a great cut.

It's been 4 years since my last professional haircut so with trepidation I went to Boombarbers in Leith to try to smarten up my image. The guy was really helpful and listened as well as giving good advice. I actually had fun and enjoyed the experience. I'm delighted with my new look (takes years off me) and I'll be back for sure. I'm always a bit funny about picking a new barbers but was thoroughly satisfied with the cut I got here. A bit pricey but they really take their time and put effort into your haircut which I think is quite refreshing to see!

Good hair cut, but very slow cutting on this occasion. There’s attention to detail and then there’s taking too long (about 1 hour from sitting in the chair). Didn’t fill me with confidence.

I can measure the quality of a haircut based on how quick my hair style turns into my version of an afro. If a haircut makes it past 6 weeks they have done a good job, The fine people at Boombarbers have always helped me save money as only need to get my haircut every 8-weeks now (which as an Aberdonian is a good thing). They do a grand job and the chat from the hairdressers has always been first class.

Boombarbers is awesome - I've only ever used the Broughton St branch, but have heard good things about the others. Plus the staff work between them so they're much the same. I feel bad because I leave my hair far too long every time I go to get it cut, but Joe fae down south is the man and sorts me right out every time - total legend. The other cutters are all great too and the music is quality every time. The only thing that's better than the music choice is the banter :) Get your mop chopped here!!

I always get a decent haircut from Boombarbers, but with a recent price increase to nearly £20 for a wet cut, I'm not sure it's the best value cut you'll find in Edinburgh. If you don't mind spending that kind of cash, and you're in that part of town, then they are recommended.

Nipped in to Boombarbers after reading all the great revews , i was after a bit of a drastic change from my usual style so a guy called Ross was tasked with this , he gave great advice and I'm very pleased with the result , its a cool place with a great vibe , i will be back
