O. E.Sink and Anchor are genuinely one of the best barber shops in Edinburgh, I absolutely love coming to this place.
Have had cuts by both very experienced barbers Luke & Jo, who have both made me walk out the door wanting to come straight back.
Vibe and atmosphere of the new shop is great with more space to enjoy your typical cut experience alongside drinking a nice cold beer too!
Can’t wait to come back!!

I am always made to feel extremely welcome at sink and anchor from moment I am greeting by Rachel and the dogs, for someone that's socially anxious it's nice to feel you have a safe space. The shop itself has a vibe and aesthetic that's unmatched and if you're lucky you might even get some puppy love. You can tell the team love what they do and I look forward to every visit

If you have longer hair and aren't necessarily looking for the classic buzz-cut looks you typically get at barbers, then this is a great option. Luke clearly has a versatile skillset, and is very accommodating for all hair lengths and styles. Great atmosphere in general too, and nice staff. Will definitely be returning!

Not only is the vibe always great. Super friendly, welcoming and inclusive the haircuts are always 10/10. Luke always makes you feel like he is paying extra care and attention to give you exactly what you want!

P. M.Had been trying to get an appointment here for a while, but planning for a week ahead was a challenge for me, so I ended up elsewhere. However, if you can do the planning, in my experience it is worth it; probably the best service I have had from a barbers.
Options and rates are clear on the website. Booking process is straightforward - but you will be lucky to get an appointment less than 7-days ahead as all appear to be well booked up.
Joe was cutting my hair and he was very professional and polite. Gave me a paper collar - a first for me. Confirmed what I wanted, and started with trimming my sides with clippers. Then washed my hair and finished the top with scissors. Dried it. Shaped the beard with clippers. Then a hot towel to soften the beard. Soap and lather then razor for the details. Scissors to manage any remaining hairs. All done calmly, with care; checking as he went along. Some oil on the beard and some wax on the hair. Most comprehensive and thorough haircut I think I have ever had. Excellent attention to detail. Nice chap; great manner, sincere.
I will happily return.
