I have been to Statement Barbers on numerous occasions as I always get a good haircut from experienced barbers who are friendly and welcoming. I've been numerous times because I think they are brilliant. Great price for getting a haircut.

Good cut, good chat was talked through what we were doing and when. Lead to a confident cut where I got exactly what I wanted! Normally get cut at Substance up the road but for 5 quid less I'd say it was an even better cut!

Nice barbers. I have been a few times and they do a good cut for a pretty reasonable £20. Not super cheap but it is a decent place, so worth it. They take appointments which is useful and they have a really freidnly wee dog called Dougal, who spends most of his time either snoozing or cuddling with awaiting customers.

Great hairdresser! Very talented and listens to what you want. There is a friendly atmosphere and unlike almost all hairdressers, the small talk is often funny and engaging, not clichéd and awkward. The prices are really good and there is student discount. There is not much more I can say but as you will know, a cheap hairdresser that cuts your hair well and doesn't subject you to stale conversation is hard to come by.

First time at Statement, absolutely brilliant. I had Kathryn who knew exactly what she was doing, which makes a nice change as my Asian hair's tough to deal with. She had great chat too, and they've got a little puppy which frankly is a must for all barber shops. Will be back soon.

Decent prices, have been there twice now. Sadly I cant remember names, but once with the Irish lady, who was really nice and helpful, and once with a guy with a beard/bull ring combo. He was quite quiet, maybe in a bad mood or something, but made me feel a little on edge, and less willing to ask for changes, or what I wanted in the cut, but the quality of cut was still good.

I came to Statement Barbers on the strength of multiple reviews and recommendations and happily they were all correct. With a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and comfortable setting, a solid consultation and advice and a fantastic haircut - I can't recommend them enough.

Love this place! The staff are very nice and make you feel comfortable while you get a chop. They are just nice, normal people, no silly hairdresser BS! The place could maybe use a mini-refurb and lose the random budda stuff to make it more contemporary but that is a minor gripe. Great prices and products too.

Great haircut. I went in quite last minute when in Edinburgh for.a work meeting. I have not been up that way for years, but remember going to.the old Demon Barbers shop when I lived in Edinburgh. Different name now, but still great. A lass from Orkney cut my hair, and she was friendly and chatty. Quite busy, so probably best to book. And major sure you tip the staff, as it's a tough job cutting hair on a busy day.

Great place, been here three times now and I won't be going anywhere else now, it's a good price for a great cut. Staff are nice and good for a real chat not just the usual. The place is stylish without feeling hipster, worth calling ahead to get an appointment

Hard to understand why they even bother taking bookings when they can't even stick to their own times. Always be expected to wait 20mins after your scheduled appointment. Worst part is at times the barber is not even cutting hair but have gone down for a coffee. Apart from punctuality, they can do an OK haircut just don't expect them to do a good job on skin fade.

Gents, you should go nowhere else for a haircut! I have been coming here for about six years now and love it. The quality of haircut, the products offered and the staff are all top notch! I am always recognised as an individual and often the staff remember what we talked about last time I was in - exactly what you want (not to be treated like a number). And - Dougal the dog is the cutest - a great addition to the barbers.
