I was in desperate need of a haircut and booked in for the first time. Yasmin was lovely, she is really experienced with curly hair and took the time to listen to what I wanted and how I normally deal with my hair. The cut is gorgeous, she styled it in a really nice way, and she also gave me some tips on how to get it up in a nice bun. She took loads of time over it. It was a really good experience and I will definitely be returning to Yasmin.

I didn’t think anyone could improve on my usual hairdresser ( also Toni and Guy but down south) , but Yasmin made some sensitive stylistic changes and created the most beautiful shape. She was delightful to work with and has an excellent eye. I love my new cut!

I got my hair cut by Gillian and although it was the first time she had cut my (very difficult curly) hair, she did a first class job. Gillian took time to find out exactly what I wanted, and then took the requisite time to cut my hair into a beautiful shape and style. However, the last twice I got my hair cut by the senior male stylist and had to go back both times due to him having left my layers far too long resulting in my hair sitting flat at the top. The last time I went back to him for a correction, he made an even worse mess which I`m still trying to grow out! My new hairdresser at a different salon actually commented, stating that the top layers were totally disjointed whilst the layers at the bottom had been left far too thin and wispy. The senior male stylist needs retraining on how to cut curly hair into an asymmetric bob; the last cut was one of the worst I`ve ever had!!

Had my hair cut here last week and couldn't be happier. Offered coffee on arrival (they could do decaf) and after talking to the stylist about what I wanted, I had the best hair wash ever - brilliant massage chairs and the girl washing washing it really helped me de-stress by not asking annoying questions and just letting me relax. Stylist offered honest advice about my hair and I left feeling much more confident than when I went in - win win. Would definitely go back.

I have been going to Toni and guy's Edinburgh salon for years and couldn't be happier with the service I receive- from the welcome when I arrive (always get offered tea or coffee and a smile) to the hair wash (complete with head massage in massage chair) to the cut and style- Gillian is great and always makes you feel a million dollars whether it's a cut and blow dry or a hair up! There no better salon in Edinburgh in my opinion!

Gillian at Toni and Guy is a genius. If you want super shiny sleek bouncy brilliant hair, go see this gal. She always listens to what you want and then makes it even better. Up until I had her as my hairdresser, I never really liked my hair. I just assumed that I was destined to be one of those people who had a perpetual bad hair day. Since going to Gillian, I actually like my barnet! Highly, highly recommend!

Lovely salon great reception staff, Love coming to the training at T&g, just been in for another great cut. As it's trainees you have to be patient as it takes time for the teachers to explain each part.
