Having gone from curly to straight to curly to straight & now back to curly & never ever been completely satisfied with my curly cuts in the past, I booked in for a 1st time curly cut on recommendation from a friend. Booked in with Eileen. Absolutely fantastic cut & the best haircut I’ve ever had in my 53 years. Hair washed & product tutorial & dry from the lovely Jade (I think?), now I know where I’ve been going wrong with styling/water. They truly know how curly hair behaves, how it should be cut, treated, outstanding. And Eileen’s banter is top notch! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Had an amazing experience with Scott! He really put me at ease from the minute I walked in. I was getting a curly cut so he first had a good look at my hair and we talked about what i wanted etc. He cut it dry and curly so we could tell where it would normally fall once washed and dried. I had a clarifying wash with Malibu C undo goo to remove any build up then a wellaplex treatment to close all my cuticles and smooth it down. He then used all innersense products (which I ended up buying and am still using to this day) and showed me the best way to apply them and techniques to start diffusing. At one point I had 3 people diffusing my hair. I walked away feeling great and my hair is still in great condition. I'm definitely going to book another appt. If your considering trying them I would 100% recommend them.

Such a lovely, welcoming salon with really talented staff. I recently started trying to embrace my natural hair and was always tempted to reach for straighteners during this time because I disliked it so much, but after my visit to the salon I have fallen in love with my natural hair and it's improved health, and I was given some great advice on how to maintain it. Amazing experience. As I’m not looking for a haircut right now, more for recommendations, I booked a video consultation with Bryan. He was extremely friendly, cheerful, positive and very helpful! He told me what to do and how with my curly hair and assured me we’d stay in touch to see what my hair really needs. Later he sent me an email with everything he told me in detail. This place is the best.

Belle & Blackley is an amazing salon, with friendly and knowledgeable stylists who understand curly hair, and know how to cut and care for curls. I visited for the first time this month, where my hair was cut dry to see the curl pattern, then washed and diffused, and I am in love with the results! This was the best cut I've ever had and I 100% recommend the salon for those with curly hair. They also have good COVID-19 precautions in place and I felt safe during my entire visit.

I've loved every cut I've had here, Julie listens to my requests and turns them into a style that makes sense. The salon is a really relaxing environment and their approach to reopening in the current climate is exemplary. I must admit I'm not the easiest of clients as I have very high standards and I'm also somewhat demanding but hey, my relationship with this salon has lasted longer than any romantic relationship I've had (🤣)because with skill , professionalism, humour and affection , they do a fantastic job every visit. I went for my first curly cut appointment with Bryan and was not disappointed! I got a lovely cut and sooo much advice on how to go forward with my hair. It's the most expensive cut I've had but the quality and service I received was definitely worth it (you get what you pay for!) Will be back!

For some reason Google wouldn't let me leave a review when I first came and I forgot!! After having an absolute shocker at a hair salon here in Valencia last night with styling and drying (I left looking like a dug that fell in a pond) I thought I need to get back here to recommend these guys. Probably the best hairdresser experience I've had from start to finish ever as an adult. Too many hairdressers claim to know curly hair but don't get the styling and drying right! You leave say "aye that's great" and can't wait to get home and soak it to start again. Scott cut it, went to town on giving info on products and another couple of great staff took over for the product app and diffuser action on both visits. Great value if they're still doing the second visit top up included in the price. I'll be back for sure!!

I visited the beauty salon, Wax HQ. Louise is a great beauty therapist, and I would definitely recommend her.

Nice salon, knowledgeable staff, but a bit disorganized. I wanted a trim and style for my curly hair. I was scheduled with one girl but she didn't seem to know what to do and eventually a very sweet guy took over. She was yawning and let the other guy take the lead before completely leaving me to work on another client. The guy was very good and talked me through everything. I was slightly disappointed that he said he would show me how to diffuse properly but then didn't wind up diffusing my hair at all. So I didn't really learn anything new and paying £70 for someone to wash and apply product to my hair just seemed a bit much. I also had to insist for a trim which I didn't understand. I hadn't had my hair trimmed for over a year and they kept saying that was normal and didn't seem to want to cut it. Good in theory but not sure if want to return.

Forgive the horrible selfies but they really show the amazing results you get at Belle and Blackley. Both Scott and Bryan have given me great hair days. They cut the hair dry which is the curly hair grail and everybody comes out of the salon looking amazing. The cut is on the more expensive side but when you consider the free follow up appointment I think that it’s really good value. I now live a ferry ride away but still visit when I’m in Glasgow!

I’ve just had my hair cut and styled by Scott - he truly is a master at cutting curls! Normally when I go to a salon, hairdressers can’t wait to straighten out my Afro. Scott enhanced my curls and talked me through everything he was doing and why. The rest of the staff are lovely and very friendly. This is a busy well established salon that I would recommend to anyone, but particularly if you have curls. Belle and Blackley is the first salon I’ve been to that I can actually say understands that curly hair needs to be cut differently. For once I will look forward to visiting a salon for a second cut!

Spending month in Glasgow so went online to find a Hairdressers/ Beautician. By pure chance I came across Belle and Blackley and what a find! I phoned and made appointments. I was greeted by Louise who provided both hair and beauty treatments and I was absolutely delighted with the results. Recently, I've visited London and Edinburgh and had my hair done in both places and been disappointed with results. Louise in Belle and Blackley far exceeded my expectations. There's such a friendly, down to earth atmosphere in the Salon and any initial nerves about entering an unfamiliar place are soon forgotten. The Salon Owner definitely sets the tone of the salon and though everyone works really hard they all seem a happy unit. I had eyebrows and lashes dyed plus a wash and blow dry and when I went to pay I was delighted to be offered a very healthy discount when I was, very tactfully, asked if I was retired.... very happy, in this instance, to be a pensioner. I have returned each week, this month, to have my hair done and different beauty treatments. I recommend Belle and Blackley to anyone wanting the best service and results. I would highly recommend this place. I've had bad experiences with hairdressers in the past so I was worried about today as it was my first time there. I have natural curly hair and they're really really curly so it has always been hard to find a hairdresser that could deal with my hair, but honestly Julie did really well with my hair (a lot of hair) and I'm really happy with the way she did it. I would definitely go back and even get my curls done or something.

Fabulous!!! Have been battling with my curls all my days (and that's a lot of days). Went for a "lesson" and came out not only with a spring in my step but all my FRIZZ FREE curls. Was slightly apprehensive about going and then when Bryan introduced himself even more so given how young he is, I thought "no way will he be able to handle my hair". What a fanastic guy. Fantastic salon!! I have been going to Belle & Blackly for years now. I always get a tea, coffee or some bubbly when I arrive. Scott and the rest of the staff always have great chat and make you feel very welcome. Stefania is a genius when it comes to colour and does fantastic hair updos. I had her do my hair for my wedding, which looked stunning. Louise did my wedding makeup, which looked exactly how I wanted! She is extremely talented; and also does great shellac manicures & gives wonderful massages and facials. I would highly recommend this salon and they even offer a student discount!

Came in for the first time for a consultation. In the space of an hour and I had learnt so much vital information, which although having visited near 50 hair salons in my life, I had never even dreamt of. The guidance this salon gave me contradicted everything I had ever been told. After shampooing my hair 5 times and taking an even longer time to dry it, I saw curls I had never witnessed. Scott and his staff are flowing full of passion and knowledge of their craft which is reflected in results: my hair is at its softest and curliest, with a natural shine and bounce that it scares me to think where I would be had I never come across this salon. I recommend this hairdresser a thousand times over for people with curly hair whether you like your hair as it is or are looking for something new.

Been going to Belle and Blackley since January 2016 for my wax and wont be going anywhere else! Extremely professional and friendly staff and a lovely clean environment. Ive always had Louise for my appointments and would highly recommend her! Very friendly, completely puts you at ease and answers any awkward questions you might have before treatment. Finally a place I've found that actually knows how to cut & treat my kids types of curly hair. Having four children that are mixed race (scots/african & Irish ;-) their hair is all different textures. I used to cut my children's hair myself as I couldn't find anywhere local to cut or give advice without pulling out the straighteners. One place fried my daughters hair when she went for her first big girl cut the day before starting primary school 😲 If you have curls then you have to try this place, don't think you'll be disappointed with the outcome 😀

The hairdresser is a sound guy with great skill in the hair dressing business. I throughly recommend you make a visit and get yourself a haircut or wax, but don’t get your hair done by the wax specialist and your waxing done by the hairdresser. That could be awkward.
