I have had the best hair cut and colour- ever. I'd not had my hair done for over a year and was nervous about it and unsure what to have done. But, for the first time, I have found my hairdresser and wouldn't go anywhere else now! Meg has done the most amazing colour and Darren has done the cut, both have taken their time and consideration for my hair type, and used their expertise to ensure I'd be happy with the finish. I felt so welcome here, loved the laid back but pleasant vibes in the shop. All staff are absolutely lovely and really take pride in what they do. If you are umming and arring like I was about booking for that change, just do it! You'll be in the best hands. Thanks again xxx

I dont live in Hull so wasn't sure where to book. Well I was so pleased I sent an email last night and got a call first thing this morning. Lovely funky salon with nice music. Got a nice cup of tea when I got there and was seen within 5 minutes. Great wash, cut and blow dry. So pleased I have found this salon as would always come back. Cheerful staff. After years of only using one hairdresser until they moved away I'd not been to a salon in over 2 years and had ruined my hair home bleaching! Kelly was a star made me feel relaxed throughout, the colour is exactly what I wanted and although on arrival I wanted to keep the length Kelly's advice to cut off the damage was more than right my hair feels healthy again, looks amazing and I haven't stopped smiling since I left! Kelly even gave my daughter a trim and washed and blow dried her long curly hair and gave me some great tips to help me know how to manage it! Myself and Lilianna loved our afternoon at Esquire and are booked back in 😀

I had my hair cut done today and absolutely love it ! I've been to few hairdressers in my town and they all destroyed my hair, damaged from bleaching, horrible hair cut etc so I decided to go to Hull. Unfortunately, there isn’t a 10 star option because that is what is truly deserved. I came in to book my appointment and immediately knew that what Jenna would create would be awesome. In the lead up to my appointment I imagined many different ways how my hair would look and Jenna surpassed all of those ideas and blew me out of the water. I came to have my hair done properly after feeling a bit “blended in” and wanted to stand out from the crowd. Thanks to Jenna, I feel that way and happy is the understatement of the year. I drove home in rush hour traffic (normally hellish) with the biggest smile on my face. Jenna thank you so much. Screw going to a barbers anymore when I can have the biggest confidence boost by visiting every few weeks. Thank you thank you thank you. Additionally the salon is awesome. The music was brilliant and all the other staff were lovely and helpful too.

I stand out. And I like my hair to look good . Darren not only takes the time to find out the right cut and style but takes the time to get to know you as a person ..when you walk in everyone chats ,takes a genuine interest in what you are saying and when you chat while having your hair cut it isn't just small talk chit chat .. Darren is a positive upbeat guy ...every discussion is different and varied and I always leave feeling amazing not only because my hair looks great but I have had a positive conversation discussed future plans or wishes and know that I have honestly been heard and understood ...I have always thought who do you chat to most ...your hairdresser your tattooist or personal trainer ...i always feel physically , emotionally and mentally great after a visit.....I don't just visit for a cut ...I visit for a great relaxed atmosphere and great conversation ..

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING 👏 Absolutely love going to Esquire; Kelly, Darren and Meg make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door! Covid guidlines were in place, Meg was sanitising everything after it's use and I was asked if I felt comfortable in their upon arrival. The team at Esquire are more like the friends you'd actually hang out with, it's nice to be around the banter as well as get an amazing haircut. Now for my hair... I walked in with a lockdown car crash of a mop on my head and Kelly has definitely worked her magic, as I left with a sophisticated full head of highlights and I genuinely think its the best cut and colour I have ever had. Kelly and Darren took their time to assess the damage and see what was best, as well as listen to me and what I wanted; it's even better than what I was picturing in my head. I feel radiant with my new hair and cannot thank you enough! I'm moving three hours away from Hull next week and I'm genuinely considering commuting to get my hair done again by Kelly (and now my Mum has seen pics of my hair, she's thinking about coming that distance to get hers done there too!). I'd been turned away from a couple of places marketing themselves as 'gents hair salons' because I've got long hair, when they were really just bog standard short back and sides barbers. Esquire are the real deal - welcoming, skilled, professional and very helpful with their styling advice. Darran really knows his stuff and expertly achieved the style I was going for, Sophie does a lovely relaxing hairwash and makes a cracking cuppa coffee, and they're both great to chat with. Please let me know if we ever get down to the bottom of the running red colour dye!! See you guys in 8 weeks time when I'm due a cut for my tumble weed of a hair again I have my hair colour done professionally every single time cos I want a professional result. I had this colour done almost every 3 months and this is the first time I had it stain all around my face like I had a bad make up job of blending. The colour stained my entire bathtub when i ran home to give it another wash. It feels like cheap dye been used instead. Cant even walk into the shops after getting hair done bcoa of how badly stained my face was. Yeah sure, cut maybe but if i wanted a box dye quality that runs like nobodies business i might as well do it at home, why pay the professional with professional price for it.
