Mark makes each and every person feel welcome and is personally invested in all clients and families. He has not forgotten his roots and where and how he started and the hard work it took to make it to where he is.

I really enjoy my visits to the salon. Everyone is very kind and helpful from the moment I go through the door, nothing is every too much trouble. The measures taken to keep everyone safe and secure fill me with confidence. The decor is calming and there is such a happy atmosphere throughout the salon. Most importantly though, I get the best cut, style and colour that I have ever had. I always feel so happy and comfortable with my hair after each visit . Went to this salon for an updo as I was attending a wedding nearby and got an appointment with Sasha. She did a really good job of my updo, listened to what I liked and wanted from it. My appointment was 8.45am and the updo lasted from finishing it all the way to 1am when I took it out through a full day of decorating the wedding room, humidity and delightful sweating, prepping the bridal suite after 6 women had gotten ready in it, the actual wedding, meal and then plenty of dancing and drinking. Needless to say I was very happy with how well it held through all that and it was very comfortable to wear. I initially thought the salon was expensive at £48 for the service, but all considered afterwards for the skill it takes to do a comfortable and well held updo, it was worth it. Thanks Sasha.

Having heard some great recommendations I was really excited to come for my appointment. I had met Jarrod when I came for my consultation and felt he understood what I was looking for, well I certainly wasn't disappointed! Delighted with the colours which are stunning and love the cut and finish, overall salon experience went way above my expectations. I've already rebooked and have had some great compliments. Happy to recommend, thank you also to your lovely Receptionist for her help and kindness.

Mark went out of his way to take care of me himself when my stylist had to isolate - because someone else in her bubble had been notified of a contact with someone else who had tested positive. Track and trace is important - but honestly...no testing available to let people get back to work? The salon is probably the safest place you could be right now! And, if, like most of us, you don’t think of yourself as a raving beauty, the idea of going to a famous salon with award-winning staff can be scary! You need to know that at Mark Hill, you will be treated like a star and made to feel like a star...as well as looking like one when they’ve worked their magic! Kindness and warmth - as well as expertise. They don’t always go together, but at Mark Hill, they do.

I visited Mark Hill's hairdressers for the first time this week all the staff that passed me said hello whilst I waited for my appointment. I was offered coffee while I waited also. My hairdresser was called Hailey and she was fab. She listened to me and understood exactly what I was saying and what I wanted. My hair looks great really pleased with the finished style. She was really friendly and put me at ease, my appointment was not rushed she took her time asking if I was happy throughout fabulous service. I have already booked my next appointment with Hailey. Update July 2021 Nailed it AGAIN Jarrad! Last time I had a mullet, this time I've gone shorter at the back, it's far too hot for too much hair in this hot spell. I absolutely love the freedom of this new cut, so easy to wear. I'm now maintenance free. A bit of wax run through it, a bit of lippy and my huge specs and I'm good to go! Update April 2021 I love Jarrad. He's such good fun and always enthusiastic about my restyles....I always choose something different! This time I've gone for a platinum mullet. No I'm not in my 20's I'm in my late 50's but I don't want to look middle aged. So it's a funky platinum mullet, outrageous specs and a defiant attitude to go with it. Love my new hair. Feeling radge! August 2020 I'm new to West Hull having moved here from South Manchester. It's been 5 months since my hair has had a cut & colour & my lockdown home dyeing attempts had left me resembling a brassy Bet Lynch lookalike, but fatter. It's not really the look I want so it was great to find a good hairdressing salon on my doorstep. I was booked in with Jarrad who made me feel at ease and I felt confident in his ability to sort out my birds nest. He also likes a chat which is good because so do I. My colour is a revelation. No more yellow and some darker strands. It actually looks like it could be my natural colour, 20 years ago, before it was grey. The cut is wonderful, just what I wanted, something sharp and shorter. I'm almost 56 and I terrified of waking up one day in a lavender twin set & pearls with a blue rinse. I change my haircut frequently to stop me getting bored and to stave off being old and boring. I think Jarrad's certainly helped me with this. WINNING!!! I will be returning for more fabulous hair cutting & styling courtesy of Jarrad. Thank you so much! Belinda Craig
