N. B.Ive been coming here for about a year now, after Ken moved from a different location. The shop is super welcoming, with a friendly vibe. Everyone who works here is incredibly talented and does an amazing job, especially Ken who gives the best haircuts possible. Every time I come in I feel welcomed, listened to and able to talk about life in a genuine way. Would give 10 stars if I could.
A. B. (.Always a great experience, getting a haircut was once an anxiety inducing nightmare for me however Will always makes me feel at ease and does a cracking job at same time. They offer all sorts of great services and are fantastic at all of them, you even get a complimentary cold drink from the fridge on arrival and booking couldn’t be easier.
I used to bounce from barber to barber or wherever was handy at the time but I can say without doubt I won’t use another barber now!
C. K.I never write reviews but this barber shop is more than worth it. If you're looking for a friendly, welcoming, and kind environment to get your hair cut this is definitely the place to go. I've had Ken cutting my hair for about 2 months now and my only wish is that I had found him sooner! I was wanting a big change from my long hair and due to covid I was reluctant to trust anyone as I've had lockdown cuts and some others I wasn't 100% happy with. Ken knows his stuff in the barbering world and the real one, and is an absolute asset to this business. He is easy to talk to, even the rougher subjects, and makes any and everyone feel comfortable while in his chair. Ken is respectful and enjoys hearing others stories, and I enjoying hearing about his too. And not to mention he gives a wicked haircut in the meantime! 5 stars isn't enough

M. R.The past week I've been traveling and had the opportunity to look for barbers in Edinburgh, London and Suffolk. I chose Shadow Gallery because who the heck has a 5.0 star review on google with 130+ reviews.
Side note: I hardly ever write reviews, but this time I had to. Super worth it.
I was not disappointed. Ken was:
a) Crazy knowledgeable: He's founded, wrote for, and grew a successful barbering blog and later magazine (in both the UK and expanded into the USA), he studied under Vidal Sassoon's director in Nottingham, and is all around insanely knowledgeable and highly skilled. Genuinely, Ken is passionate and one of the top barbers I've ever come across - forget going to London or elsewhere for a great cut, shadow gallery has your back.
b) Insanely easy to talk to. I've seen people say this in reviews before but never came across it to Ken's extent before. He's a super laid back guy who genuinely cares about his customers and work. He's interesting, caring and just a stand up guy.
c) Super friendly, modest and welcoming. You can't help but feel at east. Despite Ken's accolades he never once tooted his own horn, I just asked a lot of questions and he did the same haha.
Anyhow, if you're reading this then give them a shot! They're an asset to Ipswich.

I turned up at my appointment and was seen on time - which oddly was a first for me. I was cut by Chez, who dedicated ample time to ensure my fade was of the highest standard. We chatted the whole time and the appointment flew by in no time at all. All the while, Chez was dedicated, passionate and his attention to detail to my cut was top notch. Finally got what I asked for from a barber!
