I first visited John & Associates with the long term aims of lightening and thickening my hair. From organising the initial appointment and consultation and moving forward from there, I have been so happy and impressed with the service I have received. My stylist is Lucy and she is brilliant! She is always happy to talk through ideas or doubts and I have changed my mind before at the last minute but this was not an issue either. I always look forward to visiting the salon 💇‍♀️ Thank-you and see you in the new year!

We moved to area recently. After reading countless reviews, I decided to give a go to this salon and we are very happy that we chose it. Lucy was amazing with boys and Hannah was amazing with my hair, also Lady who washed my hair did amazing job (sorry, but I didn't catch her name!), very relaxing! It is great and very clean space, covid guidelines are being followed better than I could imagine. We were asked to wash our hands upon arrival and each of us were given our own seat and bag with gown and mask to use. Social distancing was maintained at all times where possible. Ladies were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional, they took great care of us. I would say it is very kid friendly and they seem to be very patient. We will definitely be coming back.

My first visit to John and Associates and it will not be my last. When I called in to make my appointmentI had a quick consultation with Lucy who was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Arrived for my appointment and was seen immediately. Lucy and I discussed my (completely) new style, she then washed my hair - she gave a very good had massage. Lucy gave me a fantastic re-style which to which my husband said ‘WOW’ . I would recommend John and Associates to everyone.

I took my Son to this salon as I saw their inclusion policy online and it was an excellent choice! We have had bad experiences in the past and this was the first time he has felt truly comfortable in a salon for a long while. Lucy as always did an amazing job on colouring and styling my hair. Have been coming here for just over a year when my previous hairdresser let me down once the first lockdown lifted. Lucy took the time to discuss colours and a complete restyle. I can honestly say I've never looked back...she is fantastic. So many people have said i look younger ...and at 63..it's nice to hear. Wholeheartedly recommend this salon

Caroline and her team are fabulous. There is a friendly atmosphere the moment you walk in. Katie is a fantastic stylist, she took her time to listen to what I wanted ensuring all safety measures were met. I don't know the name of the young girl who washed my hair but she did a fantastic job and I almost fell asleep while she was massaging my head. And as always Bethan did a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I want to thank all the team for doing such a fantastic job during these difficult times. I’ve been a client of Becky’s for over 6 years and she is one of the best in her profession. Her colouring skills are excellent- as is her record keeping - so I get dependable results with each appointment. Her experience is demonstrated in her cutting skills and her ability to create a lovely style with my very fine hair. The anticipation of my last visit was a little anxious but it needn’t have been. All elements of my visit were confidently delivered with all COVID-19 related health guidelines professionally covered.

A massive thank you to Hannah for performing miracles on my colour and cut after 4 months of lockdown. The new products and treatments now available are amazing as the staff have been undergoing extra training over the last year. The PPE at John & Associates have in place made me feel very safe. Hannah did an amazing job at colouring my hair! Very happy with the bronze/copper/auburn balayage. She was very informative and gave me lots of information on how to best upkeep it for best colour preservation results. Yet another fabulous experience at John and associates. With all things COVID changing the way we do things, the salon have been brilliant, you’re greeted as always and asked politely to wash your hands first before being shown to your own personal pack up which includes gown, mask and bag for personal belongings. Thank you for making my hair appointment feel safe and as normal as possible during this pandemic. Can not recommend Hannah enough, always listens to your requests.

As a new customer, I was really impressed with this salon. The staff, so friendly and the whole setting feels really safe. In fact I dont think the staff stopped cleaning the whole time I was there. I have always been made to feel welcome and valued and have felt very safe during these COVID times. The staff are lovely, their standards are very high and I think that anyone who hasn't been there has missed a great experience

I was beyond excited to get an appointment after lockdown, especially as I had plucked up the courage to go from shoulder length to short and let my roots grow out!. The contact from Caroline before reopening was very reassuring and I just knew it would be safe. They managed to combine thorough safety measures yet keep their usual friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I can honestly say that the only real difference was a barrier to direct clients to the right area (and separate the staff area), being asked to wash my hands (a simple but very effective idea) and put my own gown on. They even provided the mask. I was delighted with my cut, I felt really safe with Becky and trusted her completely, Abbi looked after my hair washing etc and Emma was very welcoming from the minute I got there. Itcwas goodcto see Abbi washing down the client chairs immediately after use. Apart from the obvious, I can honestly say that the only difference was they are not allowed to offer coffees (they usually make a fab latte) and there are no magazines for obvious reasons. I highly recommend.

I have been coming to have my hair cut by Becky for over 15 years. Throughout lockdown, Caroline kept us up to date through emails to reassure clients they hadn’t been forgotten about and to let us know what she was doing to make her salon safe. My daughter and I had an appointment on the first day of opening after lockdown on July 4th. I felt extremely safe; Caroline had rung me an hour before the appointment to check we were well and on entry to the salon we were asked to wash our hands. All safety procedures were in place throughout the whole appointment we were happy. Becky did an amazing job as always, this time wearing a mask and a visor, not easy and hot work for her but it didn’t stop her from being the lovely bubbly lady she is. Thank you Becky and Caroline.

I’ve been a client for over 20 years and cannot imagine going anywhere else; I’m always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. Becky knows my hair well, always does an amazing job and talks me through the options when I want a slight variation. I was apprehensive about returning to the salon after the recent lockdown but had no need to be. Caroline and Emma had done a great video to walk clients through their visit and everything was as shown when I arrived. The provision of the PPE pack ensured I had everything I needed and all I had to remember was my book. Becky immediately put me at ease and set to work, before I knew it it was as if nothing had changed. Once again, Becky did a fantastic job of my hair. I left feeling over the moon and safe in the knowledge that everyone had played their part to make me feel safe and protected during my visit. Needless to say, I’ve booked my next appointment in a couple of months.

I would definitely recommend this salon. The staff are all lovely, and Becky in particular is a very experienced and talented hairdresser. I can't fault their approach to managing the covid-19 risk. The salon is scrupulously clean, all staff and customers are masked and equipment sterilised between customers. As soon as I entered, I was invited to wash my hands and given a pack with a gown in which I put on myself and then placed in the laundry bin after use. Clearly alot of thought has gone into all aspects of the hairdressing experience to ensure staff and customers are as safe as possible.

Dare I say how many years I have been coming to John's probably since late 1960s. A friendly face always greets you, be it Emma or any of the girls. Sue is an absolute gem and on no account is she ever to retire. The salon is kept clean and tidy, always a light, airy and relaxing feel. Wouldn't consider anywhere else, even at lower cost. Even got the husband to try Ronnies little den, now he won't go anywhere else. Great cup of coffee too. Thanks to you all.

Always go here to get my hair done in the barbers. Both Ronnie and Leona are always friendly and very good stylists. They always do my hair as asked whether it be from a photo, asking opinion or telling them how you want it. I Have been going to John's for a while now. Katie always does a fantastic job of highlighting and styling my hair. I was very anxious when it was time for my 1st appointment when salon opened after coronavirus pandemic however I was quickly reassured by staff at Johns that it would be a safe place to attend. I had phone conversation before my appointment explaining what would happen and to check if I was experiencing any symptoms. On arrival there was a hand sanitising station I could use after washing my hands. My sterile pack containing mask,apron and bag for my belongings was on my seat. Staff were wearing excellent PPE and washed hands on many occasions. Katie constantly checked I was alright. Thankyou all at Johns for giving me a relaxing experience and for my very needed restyle. You cannot find a better hairdressers and barbers around! I have been getting my hair done by Laurie for a few years now and she is brilliant! Creates exactly what I want (and I regularly get bored and change my mind). My husband has been coming to the barbers for years and this is the only place we bring our son. He had his first haircut here and every haircut since (he’s just staring school now). Ronnie and Leona are absolute masters and their cuts are always immaculate! They are both amazing with children (and toddlers) and have the patience of saints! I don’t ever want to go anywhere else!

I've been a happy client here for the best part of 50 years. I've had to go to others when I've been away but nowhere has ever reached the standards of "John's" in any respect. Highly skilled and friendly staff to whom nothing is too much trouble, always a warm welcome and a friendly natter. Hot water bottle and a blanket on icy days, iced water and a cold mit on hot days to greet you as you arrive along with a cheerful greeting. A lovely relaxing environment, soft fluffy towels, comfy seats. I always leave feeling pampered and like a new person.
