My first visit to the salon was a very good experience. I had heard a lot of good things about the salon and read the reviews. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The hairstylists and the rest of the team were very attentive, polite and professional. I felt relaxed and that I was in very capable hands. My, stylist, Tasha was very nice and offered me advice on the after care of my hair and also my health as this has an impact on the hair. I had a silk press and was very happy with the results ( got lots of compliments from family and friends). A very professionally run salon with a good team. I would definitely recommend to friends.

I used to go to André years ago and then moved away. Coming back after almost 7 years André, Tasha and the team are still one of the best Salons I’ve ever visited. The service is impeccable, there’s knowledge and genuine care about your hair (which I find a rare occurrence with Afro hair salons). They’re warm and welcoming, and make you feel comfortable throughout, I would recommend visiting in heartbeat.

BEST SALON IN SOUTH LONDON !!! I was very nervous getting my haircut due to a very bad experience I received from another salon . Great hairdresser Visited André Pierre for the first time today, after my sisters and Aunt recommended the salon. Andre and his team are very professional and friendly. I had my natural hair silk pressed by a lovely stylist called Tasha, and I am happy with the results. I have already booked my next appointment for the end of December. The salon is lovely and clean and they have very good covid precautions in place.

I've waited a couple of weeks to really see if the cut was good and what I wanted and it totally was!!! Being someone who hates going to the salon, the long wait and sometimes scissor happy stylist, I can honestly say that Andre Pierre salon was a breath of fresh air. A good friend recommended this salon to me and at first I was sceptical, especially as I only visit the hairdressers once a year and usually use my regular stylist. However, Andre was ready for me as soon as I arrived, observed excellent safety measure re: Covid and had a lovely cup of coffee made for me too. The cut was exactly what I wanted and my hair has remained in good condition 2 weeks on. Andre was also able to give me some good hair care advice, which was useful and felt genuine. Really really impressed and will deffo be back.

I initially had an appointment at a separate salon (which I will not disclose) and walked into Andre Pierre by accident instead. Andre and his team greeted me with such warmth and it looked so clean and tidy that when I was given directions to the correct salon, I didn't want to leave. After arriving at the correct salon, I was disgusted by the extremely poor customer service! I cancelled the appointment then and there and returned to Andre Pierre who had an available slot for me :-) Andre did my hair and I had the Brazilian Keratin Treatment using the Revitalise brand for afro hair. He was a great laugh and lovely to talk to, as were the rest of the staff and clients. I was offered a beverage as soon as I arrived and there was no waiting around whatsoever! My hair which is relaxed with newly texturised/texlaxed regrowth and damaged ends turned out amazingly after the treatment. It was very soft, lightweight and smooth. Not weighed down with oils or stiff with grease. I am looking forward to seeing how it holds up within the 3 months. My whole experience was great, the salon was super clean and tidy with a professional and relaxing atmosphere! The only tiny thing I'd say is, as my hair is so fragile, the brushing was a little too much for it and could have been a little more gentle, but that's my fault for forgetting to fully detangle my hair gently before I left my house to prevent the need for added pressure when brushing... I am so glad I stumbled across this salon and I cannot fault it for anything else at all! I look forward to returning for my follow-up treatment (remembering to detangle my hair properly first of course)!

Professional, warm and inviting salon. Nothing is ever too much and more importantly the hair is always amazing. I highly recommend and if you have time to spare check out VIP Rooms which is housed in this salon for beauty treatments. EDIT: Important missing info to add in my original review - Andre is one of the best colourist out there, takes the time to mix colours that suit you. Andre and his entire team are the epitome of professionalism and are as nice and fun as you can get. I first came to them when my very thin hair was literally about to fall off from all the braiding and weaving I ruined it with for years and years... Andre's decades of experience shone when he told me, very accurately, that the best way for me to retrieve healthy hair was to cut it all off and start all over again - best advice EVER. He made me look good then when I had never sported short hair before. I've been coming ever since and in less than 2 years my hair reached shoulder length and is much healthier! I have been a client since 2001. The service is always client centred and professional. They specialise in Afro and European hair and they use the best products and give sound advice. The salon is clean and welcoming. The staff are professional and bubbly. Customer service is A*. If you're in your 'hair comfort zone' for too long, rest assured Andrew will push you out of it, and you will feel even more amazing! Andrew always accommodates my last minute appointment requests (I'm a last minute.com kind of girl). Since the 'lock down' restrictions, the experience is slightly different because of the Government requirements, which they have taken seriously and this is testament to their professionalism. I'd highly recommend the team. Special 'shout out' to Tasha, Denise and Gayle too.

The lovely Tasha patiently treated and cut her natural hair and advised her how to best protect her hair from now on. Kenza left the salon with fantastic hair and really happy. I’ve now had my second keratin treatment at Andre Pierre salon and I cannot speak highly enough of not only the service and professionalism but hair! The results! Exactly what I dreamed it would be. I have had my hair relaxed several times by Andre and every time I am very pleased with the results. Andre is always professional, friendly and super knowledgeable about hair and how to keep it looking its best. Advice is given about how to improve your hair care regime, though treatments and salon products are never pushed - it's only ever suggested and left for you to decide. Unlike many salons that cater to black hair, Andre Pierre is not noisy, they see you on time and you feel well looked after rather than like you've joined a convey belt of clients. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly by the team who were all extremely friendly. I was also pleased to find they were Covid Safe, with face coverings and sanitisers. I love the feeling of having my hair washed and the shampoo they used was soothing and invigorating. The smell was gorgeous and I swear I could feel the treatment working. I was seen by Tasha who is one of the stylists. We had a really good chat whilst she tended to my hair. She showed me each of the products she used and asked me to try them on my hand, before she applied them to my hair to reduce heat damage. The blow dry and silk press felt amazing. My hair hasn’t moved like that in years. I was extremely pleased with the service, and the entire experience. Tasha was fab. I would definitely be coming back again and would recommend them to my friends and family.

I have been a client of Andre Pierre for over 10 years and honestly wouldn’t trust another salon to take care of my hair. A few years ago I made the decision to go for the big chop with a pixie cut which, many hairdressers will know, can be a difficult cut to achieve. But Andrew knew exactly what I wanted and since then I haven’t looked back. More recently, during lock down I took the decision to shave my head but had always wanted to go blonde. Before the salon reopened, i received a call to book an appointment and was reassured that they were taking all of the necessary precautions. When I arrived, hand sanitiser, masks and plastic bags for your belongings were immediately available and the stylist chair cleaned down before being seated with social distancing and screens in place for additional safety. Andrew expertly took me from my natural brown / black to the most gorgeous shocking blonde and I couldn’t be more happy with the result - I absolutely love it! But the main thing is that even with all of the strangeness of these times, Andrew and his team haven’t lost their sense of humour (they never fail to crack me up during my usual Saturday morning appointment) or commitment to making their clients look and feel special. I first went to the salon as a one off as I couldn’t get an appointment with my usual salon. Some one off! 3/4 years later I have been going there every 2 weeks. My stylist is Andre and he is one of the best in the game. Even from my first appointment, he was able to frame the style to my face and what I really respect about him is the fact that he won’t just act on a clients request, if something may be damaging for the hair, he simply will not do it. The salon is always impeccable and there is such a lovely atmosphere in there. Every one is super friendly including all of the other clients. You feel like you are in a spa. Professionalism is second to none. These guys know how to run a business and the real meaning of customer service. At times when Andre is not there, Tasha the senior stylist picks up and you would not think anything had changed. There is a beauty salon downstairs and the two businesses are not on top of each other and although separate, they work together so well together that you would think they were one. I have never looked back and have no intention of changing my stylist again, even when I’m old and grey!!

I arrived on time and was seen to straight away but not before hand sanitising and asked to place a mask on. I had a fabulous experience at the salon a couple weeks back. I called to schedule an appointment urgently and they manage to squeeze me in that afternoon but I had to call back and ask to come earlier at noon because I realised I would be running late to where I needed to get to (outside London). I literally rushed in and managed to get my afro natural hair, washed, treated, blow-dried and styled in about 20-25mins while by husband waited in the car. Honestly, it was a fabulous job. I was literally in shock because I have natural afro hair which generally does not take 5 mins to whip up. By the time i was done and got back into to the car my husband was staring with his mouth open and said 'wow, you look amazing, did that really only take 20mins'. The salon was also nice and clean and everyone was very professional - I would 100% recommend this place because if I can look that fab in under 25mins, imagine what I would look like if I had given them an hour. I’m a hairstylist myself who moved to London from the United States. They’ve got wonderful customer service. The shop itself has this cool and warm ambience. The good looking receptionist is always cordial. They all seem like good people. I went in after a bad experience with a difference salon and although he wouldn’t take me, I was happy with just being told the truth to wait a while longer after having a baby. I’ve been in there 5 times, never got my hair done but left happy regardless- crazy. They know what they’re doing and I love them. They’re the whole package.

Andre Pierre is a great salon. In particular I like the fact that it is not segregated - I can't believe that in 2015 so many hair dressers seem to be either for Black people or White people. Andre Pierre is really welcoming and they do everyone's hair, and they are not homophobic either. The customer service is excellent: the staff remember who you are, are all really friendly and offer plenty of free coffee - which is great. The salon is modern, stylish and clean and in a great location, near the tube, Brixton market and Brixton whole food shop. I suppose the real reason to go to a hairdressers though is for them to make your hair look good and they have certainly done that to mine. I have had my hair coloured and highlights added. It took a few goes to get me to blonde, as the stylist has been careful not to damage my hair, and now it looks great. Andre (Andrew?) and Natasha certainly know what they are doing. I would recommend this salon to everyone.
