In the age of a barber on every corner, not many can claim to still maintain the finesse and care of a solid cut. Anthony's is the home of a true artist. With a simple few questions he truly understands what I am looking for and always gets it right. Such professionalism and care is hard to come by nowadays. 10/10 recommend.

Had a great experience the last two times I've been here and will be making it my regular. Always receive a great haircut from Patricia and her magic fingers. There is always a sociable vibe, good music on the radio (not pop!), and good conversation. They never forget the to offer people a beer, even when busy, and behind on taking lunch! It's often the little details, but the guys who work here are fabulous and absolutely make it a place worth visiting

They saved my hair! I don’t think I have been to a better barbers. After trying most of the barbers in Balham and Clapham South area, this is the only one I’ll be returning to for every haircut - for those new to the area, you don’t need to look any further! Patricia (I think her name was) did an excellent job, listened intently to what I wanted and made some clearly knowledgeable suggestions that definitely work with my hair. The time and care she took was unmatched - which i particularly appreciated as it was at the end of a very hot (29C) day! The pleasure they get out of making customers happy with their cut is also amazing. Also, the general friendliness of the barbers was very inviting. I look forward to returning.

Errol and Toni had been cutting my hair for decades - they retired pre lockdown and Anthony has taken over the business to add to the salon he already owns at the bottom of Balham hill. Anthony was an old friend of Toni and his family and is doing a great job of revitalising the Clapham South salon with a nice decor makeover and excellent service. He himself is a terrific barber and has just given me another top class haircut. Recommended.

The sign at the front says £17 for man’s hair cut. So I was expecting to pay as advertised. However, when the guy charged me he said: it’s £19 due to overgrown. I was in such a choke. I payed and gave £1 tip. So the whole thing was £20. After getting home I started to think and released that I have been ripped of. I don’t think it was fair to be charged “overgrown”. I never thought that it was a thing. That was my first time there. He does not know me and don’t know how my hair was. Anyway, I won’t go back. Update: thank you for the response. However there should be a bit more transparency before you sit on the chair. So there are no surprises after the hair was cut and to avoid people being disappointed as I was. Thank you.

What a great place to have a haircut First of all the prices are decent and the place is very friendly, then if you have the chance to go there Patricia’s magic fingers you won’t ever go anywhere else, add to that that if you are thirsty they always have a fridge wisely filled and book you found your new favorite place. I happened to pass by this Barber shop recently. I 'lost' my hair years ago so don't have it cut professionally any more. A little trim with the hair trimmer works. However, I was taken to this barber shop by my Dad and older brother when I was a CHILD (I'm talking 50 years ago!) and would you believe it, the same man who used to cut y hair STILL works there! In the same place, the last chair at the far end of the shop. What history!

They get the job done. 11 pounds. Boom. Also, all of the hairdressers are very nice and courteous. My only gripe is that they are closed on Sundays, and more often than not, it's only on Sundays that I remember I need to get a haircut. :-/

I popped in here for a trim because I was rehearsing in a flat over the road. That was thirty years ago, popping in tomorrow. I live miles away, in Deptford, but I would not go anywhere else, Erol is a master of the art and his father Tony is the founding father. I always have a great laugh every time and the craftsmanship is second to none, when I step out of that chair it looks like Erol's been at work with a very fine airbrush. The only barber you need to know.
