Great hair salon! They provide such a great service. I really enjoyed a head massage. Ludgero did a fantastic job and I absolutely loved the end result. He is very professional and I'm impressed how fast he is. The salon is very stylish, modern. I can't speak highly enough about this salon!

I visited yesterday and was seen to by a lady Nicki. I don’t usually write reviews, but felt I had to as it was one of the best experiences I’ve had getting my hair done. I had a blow dry and treatment and felt I was so looked after by her, from the moment I walked in till I left. She did everything I was looking for in a hair stylist and more. From shampooing my hair thoroughly, which I am particular about, to applying the treatment and amazing head massage, advice on hair products, maintaining the health of my hair and the blow dry was amazing! She represented Aveda with such passion and I learnt everything Aveda was popular for, they are extremely lucky to have her!

I had a beautiful experience getting my hair coloured with Yasmin. She was very attentive at our consultation, gave honest advice and tried to bridge the gap between the colour I wanted and what would be best for the health of my afro hair. She also spent time on the day of my appointment to chat through the colour/undertone and throughout, went the extra mile to ensure I was happy with it. I felt very at ease (honestly she's lovely and we had great chats!) and confident that she knew what she was doing with my hair texture. Highly recommend!

I have been a customer of Aveda for 13 years now. Actually I started using their products and styling my hair prior to then but I had joined the reward scheme in November 2008. I absolutely love Aveda, their products and have spent a fortune practically every month for years. I love the staff and what the company represents. The staff are just amazing and honestly very lovely and caring. You cannot fault the services they provide and with such passion. I’ve always been seen by Carl & Sergio for my colour they are phenomenal! You feel divine after your treatments 😊 this is 5 star service if not more. I would highly recommend them! It’s my go to every month I love it! 🥰

I've been coming to see Carl at Aveda London for hair colour for about 9 months and he is just amazing, best colourist I've ever been to, he always knows what to do - which is good because I am pretty clueless and need a stylist who has a great eye, which is what he has. I always receive tons of compliments on my hair now. Also, get Eric to do the hair washing and blow dry, he is wonderful, he just made me look even better with the blow dry, and so well taken care of with the lovely head massage during the wash. Highly recommended. Great place to spend a couple of hours, spacious, friendly and they have a cafe in there too.

Raw Bella is a great local hairdressers in streatham. Appointments are kept to time and hospitality is super. Jamila does my hair colour and is a lovely young lady with great experience and I always learn something new about my hair. Helen and Clair are great front if house. The only thing as a little negative is the massive increase in prices so ask for a discount especially if you are a regular and they will be willing to help out.

Lovely experience at the Aveda Institute during the pandemic. I was welcomed by a friendly staff and felt safe and reassured during my entire time spent there. Great customer service. Really recommend back massages. You get such a relaxing treatment and really feel pampered. I have just been in today and Kusuma gave me a super massage which fixed my (poor posture at my desk) pain. Do ask them for a packet their Aveda tea. It is expensive but it is a lovely way to follow on a massage treatment when you get home. Also very nice in the Winter.

I have been coming to Aveda for years now and I always see Carl for my colour and Michael for my cut. My hair was in a bit of a state before these two gems sorted me out - they really care about their job and how your hair health is as well as how it looks. I live a few hours away and I still make the trip every time to see them both and always rebook. I couldn't recommend them each individually more or Aveda - the whole place is fantastic and they've dealt with all the restrictions around Covid amazingly well. Thoroughly thoroughly recommend - Carl and Michael are not only amazing at what they do but they're fab people as well and we always have a bit of a giggle.

I had one of the best blowdry's of my life here a few weeks ago and I have had many blowdry's in my time. I think his name was Kieran, he'd recently moved over from Scotland. I have a lot of hair (Middle Eastern genes) and usually people just cut corners and so the blow dry doesn't end up fulfilling my hairs potential. Kieran did it properly, taking the hair in small sections which meant volume, bounce and no heaviness. It's a nice and comfortable space too.

On my first consultation with Aline, I have explained my choice of hair colour and what I was hoping to achieve and with her creative skills I have the right colour and love it. The online booking system is one of the worst I've used and the size of the drinks you are offered whilst waiting are borderline ridiculous, having said that, the actual treatments and experience you have at Aveda is great. The atmosphere is cool with lots going on and it's always busy. Staff are knowledgeable and it's in a great central location.

I visited AVEDA couple of days a go and was amazed by how organise it was although quit busy. A lady by the entrance advised me to use one of the provided bags, sanitise my hands and took me to the waiting area. I booked for a hair cut with Angelo (he is mainly known to be hair colourist) who met me minutes later. The hair cut was the best I ever had, I got many compliments about it and TBH, Angelo is perfectionist so he did spend some time to make it perfect. I love it and cannot thank Angelo enough <3 I highly recommend this place and especially Angelo, such a sweet personality. I am planning to book him again to colour my hair :)

I first met Carl 8 years ago and have made that journey all the way up to the Convent garden salon ever since to top up my highlights, despite there being an Aveda salon only 10 minutes from where I live. Carl has worked wonders with my hair which is particularly difficult to colour ash blonde, and over the years has gently steered me away from various impulsive colour changes which frankly wouldn't have worked! Not only does he really know his stuff as a colourist, it is always lovely to see him and have a good chat and a giggle. During my recent visit, I was also very impressed with the Covid-19 measures that the salon have put in place since lockdown and felt safe being in there for several hours.

Wonderful post lockdown hair cut with Abi and my daughter had an equally great experience with Zack. All the staff wore visors or masks, clients wore masks and put on their own gowns. Stylists very well spaced out upstairs and a good one way system in and out of the building. I was so happy to have a proper haircut! Also got to visit upstairs at Aveda - a lovely light space. Their products are excellent. I have been coming to this salon since 2015 and I love it. I always get my hair done here because I love how they products smell and hairstylist are all super professionals. I get my hair done by Alini and she is awesome at colouring. I always get full head of highlights with her and she never disappoints. It is very expensive, at least for me as I am a full time student. I pay 160 for full head of highlights , no cut. But I will never go anywhere else. get your membership card so you can get a present for your bday. I got a very nice body oil for free.

Thoroughly recommend colourist Carl who is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Salon is very spacious and has new, wide individually-screened client areas. Staff wear masks and/or visors. No glossy mags or small cups of distinctive Aveda tea currently (due to Covid), however very relaxing head massages still on tap (today with the lovely "Fats") and a separate cafe at the front has re-opened for all those long colour appointments. Salon is a short, uncrowded walk from a still-quiet Holborn tube station. As an Aveda regular, I'm really pleased the team are back, so much so that I just re-booked for my 4th post-lockdown appointment with Carl. Keep up the great work!

The technique felt harried and harsh, like someone who was late for an appointment. We both came away more irritated than relaxed. Our haircuts were good, though.

I have to say, the reviews are fairly representative and I'd have thought that the salon would read comments and listen to their customers. They were indeed fairly rude at the reception, no one smiled and the Jackie who was meant to dye my hair was very frazzled. I tried to make conversation and lighten the mood which kind of worked in the end but it took them 1 hour to even offer us water. Although I have no previous experience I think she did her job well, I'm pleased with the result. Beverley who cut my hair was pleasant initially which was a nice change but I can't say im too impressed with my cut, it is just alright. She never asked how I wanted to style my hair or if I wanted to use any products and she went ahead and used three products on my hair and made them really curly which looked good but was not what I would have chosen if I was asked. All in all I think they should listen to comments and improve, paying more attention to a heavily paying customer.

Half my adult life I’ve been colouring my hair - I’ve been to many salons in many cities around the world ; Aveda is one of the best I’ve been to. I’ve just had my third visit and I could be happier- from the moment you step in and you are welcomed, right through to the moment you walk out the door. Taeho is a hair Colour Technician Extraordinaire ! And Greta does an excellent cut too, together the perfect combination. The Aveda products are excellent and work wonders on my hair and scalp. Lovely place, a bit pricey, and a little cheeky to have a cafe in the salon, most places will give you a proper sized cup of tea/coffee or glass of water without charging extra. Staff are lovely, but higher up stylists tend to be less willing to go with the cut you want, a shame for the price. However the lower and mid stylists are a lot more daring, and create fantastic looks. I'll be going back to see my current one until he leaves, he works magic on my hair.

I had a fantastic experience at The Aveda Institute Salon! I was spending the week in London and needed a place to get my hair done. I live in a very remote location and after many awful haircuts and colours my hair was in a bad situation. Michael cut my hair. My hair is curly and he did an amazing job. I walked away LOVING my hair. It's been four weeks and I still love it. It is hard to find someone who cuts curly hair. This was my best haircut ever! I wish I lived in London so I could go regularly. Jenny coloured my hair and worked miracles. She really listened to what I wanted and took my lifestyle into account. Just like my cut I love my colour. Its exactly what I wanted. It is expensive compared to what I'm used to, but worth every penny! An added plus is the atmosphere. It was an enjoyable and relaxing experience. I would not hesitate when recommending this salon.

Had an an amazing full body scrub, massage and a mini facial. So relaxing and really nice atmosphere. I also had a manicure and a pedicure, the nail polish started coming off after 3 days so not so impressed with that. But the overall experience was superb.

I had highlights and a cut. The stylists were very nice and did a good job. However I thought it was not clean: there was a dirty towel from the precedent customer were I was seated (twice so I guess they don't care) and the cissors and brushes were on a shelf with hair on it ! I didn't see my stylist clean the brush neither, she only took the hair off the brush with her hand... I also saw customers receiving a neck and shoulder massage which I didn't get

Like many others, I chose Aveda Salon when I was new in town - because I trusted their brand power (and I used to go to an Aveda salon back home). And I didn't regret !! I did my hair with Greta, she has great skills. Did my volume, layered hairstyle just the way I wanted. Also, I was impressed by the way the salon manager handled a little mishap that happened to me after the hairstyling. I got locked up in the bathroom cabinet (because the handle was wobbly then fell off). Luckily I wasn't trapped for too long and once I was rescued (?) they helped me calm my nerves by offering an order from the salon cafe (Le Pain Quotidien). Will go again for my haircut !

Outstanding customer service and treatment. Went to get my hair cut today and had the best experience leaving Aveda relaxed and very happy - absolutely love my hair cut. Everyone at Aveda Govent Garden Spa makes this experience special. Waited at the cafe Le Pain Quotidien which is part of the Spa and has a very lovely ambiente. When it was time for my cut, I was able to discuss my thoughts and possible options first and was given a scalp and shoulder massage before having my hair washed. A great variety of magazines are on offer or you can just relax and enjoy the treatment. Advise on Aveda's fantastic, natural products is on hand and staff will show and recommend what's right for you - it's not pushy at all and very helpful. Can highly recommend it - won't go to any other place for my haircut from now on.
