I'm always wary of my first time at a new barbers, but I have to say that this was a great experience. I have only recently started working in the capital, and I was a little put off by the high prices of boutique London barbers when I Googled, but Boswell St caught my eye as being more affordable and efficient - and so they proved. I had an excellent clipper cut to shave my head down to a zero, and a beard trim/tidy. All aspects were efficient, and done exactly as requested. Hot towels, super-close razor work, and a shoulder massage were all greatly appreciated as were the array of products for skin and beard. A great first effort guys, I look forward to seeing you again soon :)

Seems to have gone downhill since moving back to London. The new booking system seemed to be redundant. Person who cut my hair barely listened to me and seemed to give me a generic haircut based on roughly what I said. Was flicking his hands and scissors around, not sure why, but he was mainly just clocking me in the head with them. Fair priced but there's a definite disparity between the barbers they have here.

This is my local barbers. Always giving the best service, trims are always on point. Offer you tea/drink whilst waiting. Very professional when cutting children's hair, my little one can be a handful but they make it look so easy and handle him well. Will recommend.

I have been using this barbers for a few years now and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The staff are very friendly and also very skilled in what they do, the owner Savva is a true gentleman and nothing is too big or too small for him and will always do his best to accommodate your requests from a simple haircut to a full wet shave using traditional methods. You are always welcomed with a smile and an offer of a beverage as soon as you step through the door. You wont find a better barbers, with reasonable prices in the London area. I have been coming to Boswell St. Barbers for 5+ years now. I have never waited more than 15 minutes for a haircut and the customer service has always been to a very high standard. The guys are always friendly and welcoming, and i am always offered a drink when i arrive. I have received a cut/fade by most of the guys there as i don't always go to the same person, and the end results are always what i have asked for. When i went last week Sami was the guy who cut my hair and as always i left happy with my haircut. I would definitely recommend this barbers!!!

The staff are very friendly & the shop is very clean & tidy. plus if you are always offers free tea or coffee. Boswell St Barbers has to be the best by miles in the area.

Very nice staff but it’s been hit and miss for me. One barber goes completely off of what I wanted, despite me telling him twice what I’d like done. Soured the place a bit for me but if you get the right barber you get a very good haircut for a great price.

I was just looking for a quick cut and I've been pleasantly surprised by the barber professionalism. Not only he was precise and meticulous on what he was doing (which is something you don't often find if you need a quick cut) but he also gave me some styling advice on my hair. I used to go here frequently and would have given it five stars a few years ago. However the last couple of times I have been, the youngest barber seems to do what he thinks is best for you rather than what you ask. It's the second time he made a mess of my beard. All the other barbers are excellent though. If you want a hot towel shave and head massage, this place is brilliant.

The barbers vary greatly in terms of quality and professionalism. Some can be really rough and unbothered when handling your hair and it's so clear they want to be over and done with so you're left with a terrible cut, others are really friendly and give you great haircuts that are value for money. If you go, make sure you only get your hair cut by Sami or Sav - they are the best. Really skilled and friendly guys who'll take their time with your hair and make sure you leave satisfied. Otherwise it is a huge risk getting a haircut from the others - I cant speak for everyone working there, but I have had some who seemed bored and rushed to cut my hair and get me out the door. I ended up having my fringe completely chopped off and sides made almost bald in a matter of minutes on a few occasions in the past when I didn't wait for Sami or Sav. Stick with those two and you'll get a great cut - they are very professional and care about you leaving happy and deserve a lot of praise for doing such a good job at such a low price in a central London barbershop.

Hands down the barbershop in central London! For someone who really cares about their hair I can honestly say that since finding this shop I haven't gone anywhere else. I've been getting a hair cut and shave there every week for the last 6 years. The top service and quality you receive is absolutely worth the price you pay. My hair always looks sharp and there's a good bunch of guys to take care of you. I've recommended the place to pretty much all of my mates and they've also become long term customers. Been here 4 times. 3 out 4 times it was nice and a good haircut. The last time was awful. The older experienced barbers, the first 3 times, were good and friendly. But the last time it was a young barber. He was too quick, unfriendly, rough with brush, bad haircut, and no tissue at the end. Little gestures matter. Also the student discount only applies to cash not card. That doesn't make sense.

Best haircut ever. Amazingly professional and friendly as well, in addition to the top notch result. They give you a bit of a head massage too, all in all the cut was 20 min or so. I believe the barber's name was Savas, and he really did an amazing job. I stumbled on this place as I was in the area, but will definitely be back, it's worth a long trip to get a cut here. It's £13 without and £16 with a wash, awesome value.

Coming from New York I've been challenged to find a decent barber shop in London. You'd be surprised at how hard it is to find a place that does a decent fade and shape up. Not saying these guys are like my barbers in Brooklyn but they're pretty close. Nice group of barbers that do a good job at a decent price. I'm not sure why people choose to pay £30 at some hipster London barber when you can get the same cut here for half the price. Don't waste your money, if you're looking for a decent haircut in central London with a great bunch of people Boswell St is the place to be.

I think I've been here enough times to give this place a fair review. Basically, there are four criteria for barbershops: the wait, the cut, the atmosphere, and the price. Boswell Street excels at all four. I have literally never had to wait for a haircut, they've always cut my hair to the exact instructions I give them, everyone is very friendly and offers drinks and candy, and the price can't be beat. It's the best haircut experience you can ask for, and you should give your barber a nice tip because at this place they'll certainly deserve it.

Excellent service, great price, student discount appreciated. =) Foremost, they all seem like experienced barbers and give excellent cuts. I received exactly what I wanted, plus they take care to ensure cuts will grow in naturally and evenly. Love the fact that they openly offer the extras (straight razor neck, clean up the eyebrows and ears, lotion and aftershave, etc). Most places in central London you have to ask, then they make you feel a bit guilty for doing so. Very clean and light atmosphere, very short but comfortable wait. This is now my goto barber.

They are nice, chatty if you want, silent if you don't want to discuss and they do a good job. It's only for short haircuts, but both male and female are accepted. This is a best of breed barbers that doesn't pretend to be more than it is. For less than £15 you get a bit of advice on your desired cut, an efficient cut with all the trimmings (singed ears, eyebrow trim etc), and warm good cheer. If you're after a barbers I don't think you'll find better value than this.

I had been going to Ted Bakers Grooming for many years paying c£30 for the privilege, then a colleague at work (Dan C) introduced me to Boswell Street Barbers (BSB) and I have never looked back, BSB have a very similar service to Teds but for half the price! Sav and the team at BSB have been lowering my ears for the past 2 years and I have recommend BSB to several colleagues who now are also loyal customers. In addition to a great haircut it’s the service that comes with it, which is what I like: • Beverage on arrival (Coffee, water etc) • Haircut • Head message • Wash of hair (this is a few quid extra and is optional) • Eyebrows trimmed • Ears flamed • Hair tonic • Hair brushed and styled with wax • A little chocolate and hits from the 80’s playing in the background! What more can you as for.
