Normally I struggle to find a good cut since I have a rather wild hair or other times there hasn't been a lot of good communication with the barber. This wasn't a problem here, Celal perfectly understood my needs and very intuitively operated over my haircut. Celal's experience is notable in every little nuance, he understands hair and how hair works and has a keen eye of what kind of cut and how fits on a particular person. Movements, use of materials, gels, everything is used with dexterity and confidence. Conversation is pleasant as Celal is a cheerful, friendly guy. Overall a trustworthy barber in the area. I will go back next month.

Really happy with todays haircut. Celal has a unique way of cutting hair which I've not experienced in other barbers. He consults with clients to make sure the haircut suits them and suggests improvements that can be made. Really like my cut, will be back!

Unlike most barbers, Celal Barbers won't just do what you tell them to, but consider whether your request fits your head and how your hair works. I'm glad he explained to me the problems with how I wanted my hair done and asked for my permission to do it another way. I came out looking like a different person and I understand how to style my hair the way it's supposed to now!

Have been coming for months to Celal Barbers and I'm greatly impressed with the quality of haircuts I'm getting. Celal just doesn't give you the usual "quick and dirty" haircut but advices you first on how to make the most of your face shape. Best haircut in years. But allow me to tell the story of how it came about. A couple of months ago I needed someone to trim my beard to leave me with a moustache (for a party). So I popped into the nearest barber's without a queue. Which happened to be Celal's. Being a cynical bugger I chuckled to myself when I saw "Style Advsior" on his business cards (bear in mind we're on Brick Lane where every other curry restaurant has a sign proclaiming them as the best in the world - so suspicion is sometimes well founded). I was greeted by a very friendly man who was happy to do the beard job. But after a minute he stops and says: "I can see problems with your hair". I was taken aback. But then he explained how my current haircut was making my receeding hairline worse. And that he could make my hair "stronger" if I'd trust him. I must have been in a brave mood because I let him go for it. The haircut itself was a blur of clippers. A bit of scissoring. Razors. And some flames for good measure. Once we were done he showed me the before and after photos. He was right. I was right to trust Celal. But what was really amazing was what happened afterwards. As a man in his 40s with unremarkable hair I'm not used to getting complements. But for 2 weeks afterwards almost everyone I know said how much they liked my haircut. The Style Advice paid off. And today I've just been back for round 2. Celal wasn't there. But his trusty sidekick Jack has just sorted me out with a cut. And it's just as good. Trust Celal and Jack.
