I’ve been visiting chop for the best part of 2 years now. The whole team there are very welcoming. Kaka & Lawrence in particular are extremely talented & professional barbers that will always listen to your needs and any changes you require. Top lads, great team and the only place to get a fresh fade in Clapham!

A lot of barber shops in London seem to think that a "fade" is the end-all for men's hairstyling in the biweekly 15 quid-range, and seem unable to do anything decent for the top, other than a poorly executed block-head chop-fest. CHOP's name is entirely misleading in that regard. I went because my brother moved into the neighborhood and suddenly had a very good haircut, and upon asking him, he mentioned it was staffed by hairdressers of broad backgrounds, and that they knew how to work with "east asian men's hairstyles." Alfio did a very satisfying job on a Friday evening just as the sun set. He asked what cut I wanted on the sides and the top, and synced up my expectations to his hands. I presume he was done in 15 minutes or less, but he took extra care to polish off here and there, and understood that hair cuts have a ritualistic aspect to it, rather than just a mechanical cutting of hair. I will be returning for a fresh cut soon.

Grear barbershop, very clean with excellent customer service. I went for a haircut and had a full face treat. The atmosphere is very relaxing, good music and these guys known very well their job! Wow what an experience. I went to Chop Barbers in London twice this month once for a beard trim (just started to grow a beard and wanted some help with the initial shape) The results were fantastic and the barber(Alfio easygoing and friendly ) also was amazing providing great customer service, to get on with and provided a fantastic hair cut. I’ve been to lots of high end salons in my time but have to say this is the best hair cut ever and they know what would work for me. I’ve had lots of comments from colleagues and friends on how good it looks! I live out of London (some 100 miles) but will be definitely making the effort to come back for a hair cut. Definitely recommend!!

Been here a few times. The gents are generally decent. The lady (apologies I don't know any names) , however, gives no care to her cuts. Totally uneven fade all round and one side of my hair is much longer than the other. This was after she finished cut and I had to request that she fixed it. Few friends have said the same thing.

Really one of the best places I have been in a long time. The whole team are friendly well mannered and have what I can only say is a wealth of experience between them. The place is very busy most evenings especially from Thursday onwards so advise going earlier. Many people go to a single barber so you know your always in good hands. The vibe is good and location easy to get to literally across from the station and next to easy bus links. The prices are more than fair and the quality, time and effort they put in is well credited. I was stuck at the same barber for years and had a decent hair cut but was convinced to try this place. I haven't had so many compliments in a long time. They work with you and advise what's best for you and hair. This is my new spot to go and worth checking out.

I have been to many barbershop but this one is the best! Relaxing atmosphere,clinical clean level and all the guys are real professionals. I asked to have my hair trimmed and Alex started with different levels,very patiently until the final result. Actually for years im trying to find a barbershop that can do exactly what i want,and these guys did it! Even my girlfriend realized the difference. She thought i had been at the very expensive barbershops at mayfair area. When i told her also how much I payed she couldn't believe that it was so cheap. I had my hair fully trimmed and my face done perfectly. What i also like in this place is the really friendly and warm atmosphere, with nice music, very polite and friendly staff and the constant attendance while im having a haircut. The are totally devoted to you while they are working without playng around with stupid jokers between them. There is great professionalism and privacy. I was also impressed by the average speed of them. In some other places they had been just pretending that they were doing the job slowly and carefully but you understand when someone just wants to make it look like that to charge more. Also they didn't start to ask me for extras,as you probably know and at the end you end up with a £80 bill. Nice,simple,clean and without spending a fortune i have finally found a Great barbershop. I have just had a haircut and at Chop Barbers and was blown away by the quality of the haircut and the helpfulness of the staff there. My haircut was with ALFIO a nice and friendly Sicilian guy . I found him extremely helpful, polite and most of all brilliant at cutting . Its harsh to call it haircut as it felt like a spa treatment when I had little head massaged too. He explained why everything was done and even gave me tips on how to style at home (sounds daft but I have never been taught to style it properly so it was great to get advice on this). I consider to be the best haircut I have ever had and I have been to Trumpers, Murdocks and the rest of the high end barbershops and I have to say they didn’t come close to the detail that the barber applied to my hair. He took the right time to have a chat while cutting Them . At the end of the haircut I was given products tips for when I try to create different style at home and I feel confident I can do this as I now have the right products to use. I would rate CHOP BARBERS as a 5 star experience and I can’t wait for my next visit.

Really GREAT CUT. My hair can feel untidy as it sticks up like a nutty professor then this new Barber , I think his name is Anus, suggested to go much shorter. It suits me and manages to look stylish. They are very good for £16 and its never a long wait, but comfortable place if you have to. I highly recommend.

I have been a customer of Chops of about 9 months now and without a doubt one of the best Barber shops in London. I was a customer of high end Mayfair shop for some several years and always thought these Parlours offer the best service, however after a very quick emergency cut throat shave at Chops I was instantly converted to the traditional high street Barbers shop. The shop with its very friendly laid-back, cool atmosphere and rather jovial full of life Barber met my expectations and more. I met Kaka on my first visit to the shop. I was very reluctant to anyone else doing my beard and really was that nightmare client. Kaka reassured me I was in safe hands and offered me a full consultation, during this process I explained to him that I was in the process of growing a full beard. I outlined my frustration that my beard just wasn't growing at the pace I wanted it to. He instantly understood what I wanted. Kaka cut and groomed my beard in a particular fashion that it would look much fuller whilst being neat and tidy, he offered me plenty of advice on how I should maintain my beard at home whilst giving me hints and tips on techniques to create a filler beard. After my first trip I was hooked, I really couldn't imagine anyone else styling my beard. My beard is full, shiny and smooth, more importantly growing a lovely rate. I couldn't be any happier with how it looks. Kaka and I have built a great relationship with one another. I no longer communicate with him about my beard when in the shop, he knows exactly what he is doing, we are on a journey together. Kaka treats me like he's known for years, even staying back after the shop had closed one Friday night as he knew I had an important event the following Saturday (That's exceptional service, That is how you keep your clients happy) I would recommend Chop to anyone and if you are lucky to get Kaka be prepared to be WOWED. I absolutely love my Beard all Thanks to the big man. Make Chop your next stop.

Chop is the place to go to get your hair cut in Clapham! Just based outside Clapham Common tube station it's easy to go to and QUICK. Never had to wait to long to get my hair cut and I am always happy with the results. All the barbers are cheeky and full of banter. In London for a month and in desperate need of a haircut and beard trim. Checked out the prices for a SoHo shop someone recommended and just couldn't stomach it, so I stopped in here today after work while heading back to the place I'm staying in near Clapham Common -- they guys had good cuts and beard trims on them, and the prices were right. I'm so glad I did. Nice spot, good tunes, and Antony had me sit down in his chair the minute I walked in. He asked the right questions, said I could trust his professional judgement, and went to work. And boy, he was right. He picked up on what had been the work done before, asked for a few clarifying details, and took care of everything... except maybe even better than my regular guy (*shhhhh*) back home. Went to pay and realized I didn't have enough cash, and my wallet was back at my flat. Offered to leave my back as collateral till I returned and he said not to worry, just to try and be back before they closed that night, so I dashed across the common and returned soon as I could. What more can you ask for? I'll be back in for a beard trim next week. Thanks, Antony!
