My 10year old daughter had an amazing and very special time at the salon. She donated her long thick locks to Little Princess Trust and we came to Ena Salon as it has been recognised as one of the top 5 places in London for curly hair. Jonathan (Level 6 Stylist) was an absolute Superstar. I have never seen my daughter so happy with her hair and her curls. He's a very talented Stylist and 100% coming back!

Ena is my new salon. I've been 6 times already and feel completely at home. I also love the Davines products and how they make my hair feel. My first visit was with Amy who introduced me to all the services and loyalty offers. Since then she's given me a wonderful new rose gold look that blends perfectly with my natural colour! I can’t say enough good things about Ena Salon. Jake Fox and apprentice Kim not only gave me one of the best wash/cut/styling of my life, but they also provided me with an hour+ of wonderful conversation and incredible tips to maintain my wavy/curly hair (+fringe) in tiptop shape! This was my first visit to Ena. I had received gift vouchers from my partner for a hair appointment, which I will have in a couple of weeks. Yesterday was simply my initial consultation with Harriet to discuss my hair and my hopes for balayage. She was so lovely and welcoming. She listened and answered all my questions and made me feel very much excited about my upcoming appointment. The salon itself is beautiful and staff were very friendly and helpful. BEST BLOWOUT! Amy was the best stylist! I am here for a month visiting from Miami and she does the best blowouts. Coming from miami, my standards are high and she made it look perfect, even better than my usual blowout. She was super kind, gave me a massage and paid attention to detail! I always feel at a loss when it comes to knowing what I want my hair to look like- not now I've found Ena salon and the fabulous team there. I started with a cut consultation with Jake, who was able to give my very tired, very damaged tresses a second lease of life and a cut that has lasted me a good few months. I also enquired about colour and the amazing Magda was recommended to me...now I shall recommend her to you! I gave her complete creative control and she gave me a colour that has received many compliments and again that has lasted me. Recently had my highlights done by the lovely Amy. She first did my highlights in a beautiful copper colour back in early November last year , then managed to have my hair in a deeper red colour last week, which turned out amazing and is exactly the colour I wanted for a while. Since my hair is orginally black, this would be hard to have at first. Best salon I have ever been to! Beautiful décor and lovely staff. I have really curly hair and have so many bad experiences at numerous salons and have been charged more for the type of hair I have. I had a fantastic experience with Magda! I came in with terribly washed out colour (that I had done myself) and 3 months of root regrowth. I was impressed by Magda’s patience and her commitment to ensuring that the job was done immaculately and I could feel how much she took pride in her work. Magda was incredibly attentive when it came to my ideas but I appreciated her input so much that I basically gave her full creative freedom over the colours that she wanted to put into my hair - I have absolutely no regrets! The work was clean (I’ve had the colour in for a month now and it’s not the patchy eyesore that I’m accustomed to dealing with when my colour fades out) and she’s an absolute joy to spend the day with. You won’t want anyone else to colour your hair after you’ve let Magda have a go at it!

Helena managed to achieve the exact cut I got abroad which I tried to emulate here in London but had poor experience at another London salon who gave me a straight hair cut instead of a curly hair cut (a short bob). Where do I start... From the moment I walked in I was greeted by kind and welcoming staff. Guided to my seat, offered a drink and in no time my hairdresser (Magdalene) began talking through our plan for my hair. It was my first experience in a professional salon but I felt I could trust Magdalene. She listened to what I wanted and delivered the result that I had hoped for. As I have afro hair I was skeptic as to how well she would cope. Nonetheless, extra time and care was taken which I am very grateful for. She had an afro comb ready and didn't make me feel like a nuisance for having extra BIG hair! Awesome. Since afro hair can take a bit longer we had a long time together in the salon. She was funny, friendly and cool. I had brought a book but instead I had a friendly human to interact with. If you are thinking of heading to this salon go for this bright, professional and fantastic hairdresser as she will not disappoint. Bleaching can be a difficult process but I had no damage. I had my roots done, toner, Olaplex and a hair mask with a massage. My hair felt soft and shiny. She used a range of products and talked through them. High quality and natural! First time and absolutely loved the experience! Definitely feel I might have just found my new go-to salon in town. As someone with curly hair it is a struggle to find people that know how to cut and approach curls and Samuel was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable. The salon is lovely and the staff are very friendly which is why I give it 3 stars, however I am so disappointed with my haircut; I got home and cried for hours. I didn’t even notice the full extent of it until I got home as it had been styled curly. I tried to explain that despite having curly hair, I wear my hair straight every day and so want it all the same length. I tried to say I didn’t want layers in the front, however I felt pressured into getting them and it looks awful - very unflattering on me and doesn’t suit my face shape at all. I also asked for my curtain bangs to be refreshed, and they’re now twice the size they were before so they’re way too chunky and much shorter than I specified - I noted that I like being able to tuck them behind my ears but now I can’t. I can’t even tie my hair up as the chunky bangs and shorter layers stick out. I am so upset with my hair and feel like it’s aged me 10 years. I loved my hair but needed a trim for an upcoming interview, and feel I was pushed into getting things I didn’t want. I’m not very good at saying no or asking hairdressers to stop and unfortunately that is what has happened. Just very upset as this will take a long time for me to grow out as some of the layers are so short, so just have to deal with a haircut that makes me feel very self conscious for months.

(I am not really a reviewing writing person but)I would give it 10 stars if I could because of the kindness of Aki, one of their hairstylists. I don't quite like salon-looking/too defined hair styles, he absolutely overdelivered it. It looked very natural, subtly stylish and super easy to handle. That was my first experience with him. After the lockdown, I had difficulty booking him at Ena salon. on a spur of the moment decision, I went to a different salon. I'm quite disappointed at how it turned out. When I called back to book him for a remedy haircut, he very kindly fixed it for me. I will definitely come back to the Ena again (despite the long travel) because of Aki. It's not easy to find someone with good professional skills, really listens to what you want and also kind in London. His kindness made my day then :))

During the consultation Helena listened attentively to the kind of style I wanted and she took the time to ask how I look after my hair and about my lifestyle. I had such a lovely first trip to Ena last week. I was recommended the salon by a friend and it was just as great as they had described! I had my hair cut at Ena in December and it was the first time that a hairdresser considered my hair type (somewhat curly/wavy - 2c ish) and lifestyle when making a cut. Helena was careful to check how much my curls would lift with the haircut, as well as how I would prefer to wear my hair for the work I do and the sports I practice. The actual cut was carefully done and she shared lots of information about hair care and styling which I've used over the last few months since my haircut. As my first 'curly' cut, I was astounded at the difference it made having someone who paid more attention to how the cut would sit with my hair type cut my hair. More generally, everyone at Ena was extremely friendly and professional, and the experience felt quite luxurious.

I travel 3 hours and half to London just to get my hair done at Ena Salon, which was recommended by friend who usually get her hair cuts there. I got four services in 2020-and 2021 so far and I can say that I always leave Ena Salon perfectly happy after very service starting from hair cut, colouring and styling. The hair stylists who worked on my hair ( Monica, Andrea and Dammy) are very knowledgeable, professional, and very good at what they do. Also, they are also friendly, and you will enjoy a good conversation with. For my hairs cuts, I had two amazing experiences with Monica and I tell you (she will cut your hair with love and joy, no wonder I end up with my dream hair cut ), I did not know that my hair has that potential of being so curly and bouncy, its UNREAL. She taught me how style it using different techniques and what products I should be using to maintain its health. She also recommended the hair treatments I need and I have been following her recommendation and using the product she suggested since October 2020 which my hair loved! For my hair colour, I booked my appointment with Andrea who worked on my hair last December, but unfortunately that did not work due to sudden commitments and I rescheduled with Dammy for the first time. Although, I did not know or meet Dammy before, however, I was confident that I will still get a good hair color from my experience at the salon. I started my conversation with Dammy saying 'I WANT A CHNAGE' not knowing exactly what color or style I should go for. I end up going for a balayage as it is much easier to maintain and would look great for the summer. The color looked amazing and complimented my brown skin and curly hairs. For styling, I asked for big bouncy curly style and she did an amazing job in making my hair so stylish that night, I was absolutely more than happy with the result! I am so grateful for both Monica and Dammy for great the result and helping me to finally achieve the change that I wanted after long months in lockdown and isolation! To be honest, I did not have the best first impression. I am an American who's recently moved over the UK - after having found a hairdresser I had really loved and knew how to color my hair back home, I was really worried about how to find the right person in London. I Googled to find salons/hairdressers experienced with coloring Asian hair specifically and then I submitted email inquiries to a bunch of them with detailed instructions from my old hairdresser about what she had done with my hair. In our message to the salon, she and I both warned multiple times that I have super thick hair, and a LOT of it. I included photos of what my hair looked like post-coloring but emphasized I was not necessarily looking for someone to follow those exact instructions, just to hopefully achieve a similar result as what I had been used to. The response from Ena was warm and welcoming, the quote seemed reasonable, and there were SO many five-star reviews online, I decided to go with them. I booked in my session but then was a bit peeved I also needed to come in for a consultation and allergy check. Thank goodness Ena requires it though - it was very necessary. The consultation itself was not the best experience. I waited and then was there for much longer than I was led to believe it would take and didn't feel the service I received overall was the friendliest. I was also really annoyed that my stylist, Dammy, had not been given the original email where I spent the time detailing what I required, and that I had only been booked in for a 2-hour session when I had explained super clearly that they should not underestimate how much hair I have. There was a lot of talk over how I would need to come in for multiple sessions, something I was really not expecting and not wanting to do. This was all the more stressful because I was trying to color my hair in advance of my wedding, so suddenly feeling like my requests had been ignored, like I might not achieve the look I was going for (and thus might not look like myself for my wedding), that I needed to squeeze in an extra hair appointment and pay a bunch of extra money - all was quite upsetting. I had first reached out to the salon 6 weeks prior, so it just left a sour taste in a mouth - my genuine impression of Ena was that it was stuffy and not to my taste. Dammy did take a strand of my hair though and conduct a color test on it, and I was really impressed that she did that and kept in constant communication with me. She did end up having to change my quote to almost double what I had been originally cited via email, and almost twice as much what I used to pay in America, so all in all, I was having a very mixed experience with Ena! Cut to Dammy being so kind and lovely as to come in on a day off to spend 6 hours with me in the salon chair patiently coloring my hair! Yes, it was almost 2x what I was used to paying, but Dammy's work and the results more than made up for all of the hesitation and anxiety I had felt up until the day of service. My hair was colored excellently and was exactly what I wanted. Seriously happy with the experienced professionals at this salon.

I’ve been to ENA Salon many times over the past few years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I visited the salon over lockdown and it was clean, calm and very socially distanced and conscious. I was worried my enjoyment of having my hair done would be scuppered by the new measures but the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they’ve reduced the amount of people in the salon itself, spacing out the stations so it feels very safe. Great Salon! Highly recommend. Went in for a full colour treatment with a curly cut with Ana and she did a great job! She's also lovely to chat with :) The only recommendation that I would make is for the salon assistants (who were also super nice) to use wide tooth combs on wet curly hair rather than brushes and that their rubber gloves do grab in a bit of an unpleasant way during the washing. However, I also understand wanting to keep gloves on for protection of hands. At the end, my hair looked great!

The situation at the moment hasn’t changed the lovely attitude of all the staff, but at the same time this is really well set up to cope with Covid. I was originally booked in for April 2020 with a voucher and unfortunately that didn’t go ahead but Ena Salon honoured the deal and I booked in again. I was called on the day of my appointment saying the technician was unable to do my hair but then they quickly prevented any disappointment by booking me in with a different hairdresser. I went to the salon yesterday and saw Aki and Monica and they were fantastic, they really listened to everything I said and made sure they gave me the best advice for lightening my hair in a way that didn’t threaten the condition. I had a full head of highlights with Aki, he was so professional, meticulous and he worked so fast! He checked the colour as he went to make sure it wasn’t developing too quickly and then made sure he checked on me after my haircut to ensure I was happy. Monica was lovely, she talked me through all the products that would work best on my hair, gave me an amazing cut and bouncy blowdry. Finally the salon experience in general was still as special as pre covid, I had a latte, read my book, had a head massage and was gifted a goodie back after my appointment finished. I was first sat down and discussed with lovely Gianna about what haircut I wanted and what I like and don’t on my current one. She talked me through her idea and how she pictured it and I was then sent with Marco to wash my hair. He was lovely and the little head massage he gave me was so good. Gianna’s job was amazing since she constantly talks through what she is doing-while teaching people around her and showed me and asked me to feel the products she applied on my hair. Since I have curly hair she explained to me how to dry them and style them myself for the best results possible. I always had my hair cut by Woody and he is great! He is so skilled and puts a huge amount of care into what he does, I was always happy with my hair when it was cut by him. I've never been more pleased with a haircut! I've worn my hair in its natural curly state for about six months but this was my first curly cut. Aki really listened to my thoughts on how I wanted my hair and executed it so perfectly - so different to other salons where the outcome is never quite right. I came in with slightly stringy and overlong curls and he cut in some gorgeous layers to give me amazing shape and removed a lot of the weight, the curls have literally never looked better. The salon itself is also gorgeous and they really go the extra mile to give you a curated and comfortable experience. I've been going to Ena for a couple of years now and I have always had the most lovely experience there. Although in the pricier bracket for salons, the level of service stands them apart and the salon is always immaculately clean and the staff are well trained and highly professional. Since COVID I was a bit nervous about returning but they have clearly put in very tight measures to protect all customers. Regular cleaning took place even while I was there, and they all wear quality PPE kit (facemask and visors) so I felt as safe as I could have during my appointment.

Initially a very lovely place, fantastic customer service, attention to detail second to none, however the standard of cutting and colour is rather dismal. I put up with it for a while, I did flag this after the first 'cut' - I asked for the highest level as I consider my hair 'tricky' being surprisingly thick but having had a 'consultation' was handed to a level 3, who was lovely but cutting skills average. I put up with it as the customer service as I've said is so great - last straw though was having a cut by level 6 - top level and was worse than the 3 and he moaned the whole time about wanting to do something else so I took myself back to my precision cutter of years back who was very polite but said that the cut was upside down, I'm no stylist but I do know that my hair now sits better and looks better - likewise colour - and this is a top stylist and is actually a lot cheaper and still west end, reason I left was that I wanted a change. The prices at Ena creep up with all the 'extras' that are put on and frankly not needed. I also recommended a friend for colour and her hair actually broke after the 2nd visit so she wasn't terribly happy with me. There is more to hair than lovely coffee and cake it would seem.

I’ve been following Akihiro (@aki_enasalon) for a while now, and was pleased to find his personality as fresh as his work is behind the chair. Conversation aside, my cut was absolutely perfect. The service begins with offerings of beverages and delicious biscuits in the waiting area, and follows with friendly introductions to the staff. As a first time guest to the salon, I was offered plenty of time for a thorough consultation, shampoo, and pre-treatment with the extensive Davines haircare line. The space is vast, but welcoming, and feels like a well decorated home. Each service provider is friendly and punctual, while not feeling pushy or rushed. The best salon I’ve ever been to. The free consultation was great - the stylists really listen to what you want, talk you through your options and give thorough and thoughtful professional advice. I was booked in really soon after my consultation which was lovely as I didn’t have to wait long for my appointment. Daisy was amazing, she transformed my hair from a dull mousy colour to a bright, multi-dimensional, creamy blonde, followed by Rosie who completely revived my (very) fragile and broken hair. Overall, as someone who has been to multiple salons and was tired of being disappointed, I am so happy I finally booked in with Ena (and specifically Daisy and Rosie) - my hair has never looked or felt better.

I had the most wonderful experience coming back into Ena Salon after months of lockdown due to Coronavirus. The team had gone above and beyond to ensure their clients and staff were safe but in a way that we still felt comfortable and were able to enjoy the experience considering it's the 'new norm'. Gianna was truly amazing: no hairdresser has ever thought so carefully and cleverly about what style would suit me, and I've never found one who was so considerate, warm and kind. Finally back at Ena Salon after 5 months of dreadful hair and I couldn’t be happier! Pedro and the team have really gone out of their way to ensure clients feel safe. The wonderful Ola checked my temperature on arrival and invited me to sanitise my hands with one of the many hand sanitisers available throughout the salon. Instead of the cloakroom, there’s a rack of transparent bags - if you have any belongings (jacket, bag etc) you take one and stick everything in there. The bag gets disposed of at the end of your appointment. All staff wears visors and clients have to wear a mask prior to entering the salon. There are only two stylists per floor so social distancing is definitely not a problem! Everything (chair, styling tools etc) gets disinfected after each client and fabric gowns have been replaced by disposable ones. I genuinely didn’t know what to expect from a hair appointment in times of COVID but I’m pleased to say that any concerns or hesitation I had prior to my appointment vanished as soon as I walked through Ena’s door! Well done Ena! See you again in a few weeks!

I've had consistently excellent cuts from Rosie at Ena. The place itself is surprisingly calm considering it's just off Holborn's main drag - I always come out more relaxed than I went in. You start with a consultation and once you've agreed what is to be done the magic begins...from hair treatments, to colour (as wild as you dare), precision sharp haircut, hair washes with products that do wonders, and blow drys with bounce but no excessive body - the priority here is healthy hair. Many higher-end salons I've perused would not offer services for my afro hair, but Ena's lovely stylist Rosie gave me the best cut my 'fro has ever had. I’ve been coming to this salon to do my hair since 2015. It’s the only place in London where I’ve managed to get the colour of my hair just right! I came to Ena with a completely blondy burned hair. I went to Ena salon for the first time just before Christmas for a well needed trim and the whole experience was amazing. I chose to have Gianna, after reading all the reviews, and I am so so glad that I did. The wonderful Daisy has been colouring my hair for about a year and a half now. When I came to see her my hair was dyed platinum blonde and had suffered years of abuse from my DIY dye jobs. I wanted to bring it back to a natural blonde wig highlight and low lights and was specific about how I wanted it to blend so I could let it grow out and it wouldn’t be too noticeable (I have a busy unpredictable job and a toddler so I can’t always make time for regular appointment) She did this wonderfully! Listening to what I wanted to working with me on it. More precisely: On Gianna: A shining star! On Dammy: Since Gianna has reduced her hours in the salon, Dammy took over as my permanent colourist/stylist! I have been super super happy with all her advice and excellent results in my hair. She has achieved such a gorgeous colour on my hair that I have kept it intact for a very long time, trusting her always to colour-match my roots (first time in my life I keep a colour for such a long time, thanks to her). All her advice on products has been spot-on, recommending the ideal fit for my hair. On top of this, she is very very adept in blowdrying, braids, and hair styling (pretty rare to find someone equally awesome both in colouring & styling!) Do go with her if your hair is curly/frizzy/very voluminous - it just feels great being in the hands of someone who is not intimidated by this sort of hair and can discipline it and bring it to it's optimal state. If you are a new client, Dammy will surely extensively explain all possible contingencies relevant to the result on your hair, being very cautious and meticulous. In my case, we reached a point that I simply trust her to do whatever she deems best - and that's exactly what makes an excellent hairdresser in my opinion! Mille mercis :)

Most think a "short hair" gents haircut is quite simple "as there is not a lot to work with" but it can make such a difference if done properly. The staff treat me with respect and value my contribution into the styling process. There is a loyalty scheme that gets you some nice goodies. I found the whole experience to be amazing - from you hair being washed (and getting treated to a head massage too!) to having an in depth discussion about what you want doing with your hair. My hair was cut by Iveta, who asked me what I wanted and suggested a few tips of her own. She paid such great attention to what I wanted, and her attention to detail is incredible. I'm extremely pleased with my new hair and cannot recommend this salon enough.

Probably the best haircut I ever got. My hair was cut by Andrea Reiss: very entertaining, bold and daring hairdresser. Highly recommended if you’re looking to try something new. Not the sort of place you go for a trim, these are life decisions being cut here.

I'm so glad I came here. I entered the salon with wack, stripey, unflattering highlights and left with lovely, evenly done blonde hair. I'm thankful to Andrea, who really listened to my concerns, explained how he would do my hair, kindly answered my questions, and did a meticulous job. Billy was also wonderfully attentive and gave me lots of good tips on blow-drying. The atmosphere at Ena is serene even though it is a popular place. There are no harsh chemical smells or unpleasantly bright lights, so the experience was all enjoyable.

Ena is amazing! Best salon I’ve ever been to. Both times I left with the perfect balayage by Dammy & feeling very happy with my hair (which I can’t say happens often with other salons!). Sitting with Dammy whilst she does my hair is very relaxing and truly an enjoyable way to spend a Saturday morning rather than just something to tick off my to-do list. Dammy is really talented, passionate about hair and dedicated to delivering what I’m after. Won’t be changing who does my colour any time soon!
