This is a fantastic neighbourhood barbershop. The shop is very clean and comfortable, the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and welcoming, and you never have to wait long for your cut. Highly recommended. They discovered, when I first went there, that I had been parting my hair on the wrong side for decades - something that no other barber had ever noticed, or bothered to try to improve. I would just like to say that every visit the Grays inn barber is a delight. From the minute I arrive I am greeted and assured that it won’t be long until I am in the seat. This is where the experience begins, you are made to feel relaxed and in more than capable hands. Ram knows exactly how I like it cut and remembers every time. AMAZING!!! I was at the train looking for new barber as all my previous ones were not that great. I have checked a lot of them looking on reviews and price. What I have got here for £16 is worth more then £50 at any other barber or hairdresser shop! I've been going to grays inn road barbers for the past 4 years since it opened, The haircuts are fantastic and always go the extra mile, I'm 20 years old so price is obviously a factor and the prices are very fair for the quality of trim. Ram is engaging whether you want to talk or not he doesn't mind. The other barbers are talented also especially a bloke with tattoos and one noticeably on his neck, he is very good also. I strongly recommend grays inn road barbers and I've recently moved 30 minutes away but I still travel for my haircuts.

A great barbers. I am always a bit apprehensive about going to get my hair cut simply because I struggle to articulate what I want done with it. When I first started going to this barbers, it was quite local to my work. Since moving jobs I still travel across London to go to this place, not only because the price is brilliant for London (or anywhere else really) but because they always get my hair right. The attention to detail is excellent, I dont know what the negative review on here is about because they use scissors, clippers and even a cut throat razor on my hair which I have never seen previously but really makes the edges very neat. A great, cheap and friendly service which I go out of my way to take advantage of. Cant recommend highly enough.

Been going here since I moved into the area about a year ago. Great place. Easily the best barbers I've been to. They listen to you and cut your hair how you like it. I gave it 5 stars. However, the last time I went, a new different guy cut my hair, and he cut it way too short - even though I (and my girlfriend) like my hair long and I specifically told him not to cut it too short. It really annoys me. You pay £15 for a service, and you wish you hadn't bothered. My hair looked better before I went in! Maybe the guy had an off-day and is usually better. C'est la vie. Hopefully the next time (but not with the same guy!) will be different. Update: I've been back lots of times. The other barbers are fantastic. Haven't seen the one who screwed up my hair. I guess it was just a one off bad experience. All the other times have been great.

Easily the best barbers I have been to in the area, there are a few others nearer Holborn police station but there don't really listen to what you want or know the trends, or if they do know the trends will give you a cut without listening to your requirements. Grays Inn Barbers was pretty quiet when I went, (go outside the normal hours of lunch times), what I found great was my barber was talkative, in London it can be a bit difficult to get a word out of them. He also used a blade for the edges, whilst can recreate a vision of a Mafia film shows how professional he was, I was very impressed. Whilst the cost is expensive for a Northerner like me, that seems to be very good for the price and the location and will be making this my regular.

Firstly, I never write reviews, but on this occasion, I feel my thoughts are due a mention. Previous to my placement year in London, I was a one hairdressers kind of guy. I went to the same hairdressers throughout my childhood in rural Cheshire and never saw myself ever changing this routine. However, Greys Inn have helped me break that norm and I have now that I am based in London full time, I've continued to use it. Why you ask? It has everything going for it: - Quality - They clearly only hire the very best. Whatever seat you sit in, you get exactly the same standard of cut. Alongside this, they are all extremely friendly and recognise whether you are in a mood to have a chat or just sit in silence (which is perfect). - Location - I have always worked central London and with it being so close to Chancery Lane and Farringdon, it is perfect for straight after work (closing at like 8ish)! - Value - Unlike most central London hairdressers, you don't have to take out a new loan to pay for it. BARGAIN for what you're getting. I hope this helps readers with finding a new hairdressers and helps the venue get some recognisition they thoroughly deserve. I'm certain you won't regret it.
