Been coming to see Gavin and the crew for 5 years now. Absolutely great place to get a trim and Gavin has only ever been on top form. Welcoming, fun and it's always something to see what his own hair is doing with each visit. I barely even need to go anymore due to the ravages of time but where else can I be welcomed like family, handed a beer and regaled with tales from a comfy chair.

I have curly hair, the type that I have no idea what to do with, so I normally cut it short and get on with it. My wife has been telling me for ages that I should embrace my curls, so I tried post Covid, the results were horrific, I’ve had birds nests to mullets, this was the last chance and I’m so glad I went here. Alex talked me through what I wanted and what could be achieved. Never before have I left a barbers without looking in the shop window reflection and not changed it, I’m so impressed. I had a beard trim to and that is also great, my wife excited about going to somewhere quality before FaceTimed me after and she is more than impressed. Alex, thank you so much!!! I wholeheartedly recommend this place. There was no pretentious feelings, a really good atmosphere, the music was pretty cool too!!! ….Alex, you’re my barber now!!!!

The relationship between you and your barber is a special one. It probably shouldn't but there is a positive correlation for many between our hair and our self confidence. After my usual barber left his shop to be closer to home, I wanted something closer to home. I endured 2 previous barber experiences, one which was horrendously bad, and the second which was decent but the haircut grew out very quickly, I thought I'll bite the bullet and come here, even though it is quite expensive. I had my haircut with Alex and it was a pleasure.. He is friendly and was attentive and made a suitable suggestion of a haircut, basically a properly thorough consultation. The haircut took around 45 mins, I never felt like I was a number to be churned and rushed out the door. The conversation was easy going and flowing which helped too! In terms of longevity of the haircut, it's been 4 weeks since the haircut and I still receive compliments on my haircut. Being of South Asian descent my hair is quite thick and unruly so it is a good sign that he understands our hair type. What is nice is that I can wear it several ways (which is what I asked him to achieve), and even if I don't style it it naturally dries into a style that looks good. Now I don't want to suggest for a minute price is a sole determinant of service you get, I've been to more expensive places and places the same price and had worse haircuts, but I guess in this scenario you get what you pay for. Long story cut short, you'll get a good haircut, it is pricey but it actually may turn out to be more economical if you can stretch your haircut out for longer, but of course your mileage may vary.

You can’t help coming out of Huckle with a massive smile on your face and not just because Gav has put on a Mexican mariachi cover of Prince’s ‘I would die 4 U’. Great service, quality hair and beard cut and a nice lager thrown in for good measure.

I’ve lived in London for nine years and this is literally the most amazing place! My barber was Gavin and he is such a star. Such a lovely guy and absolutely enjoyed it. But it’s not just him. Xenia (not sure if that’s her name) but she was the manager and made me feel so special! Marshall who was the Thai guy was also super nice! I would highly recommend the place. Gavin did an amazing job. I always feel pampered when I come here. Beard trims very affordable. Hair cuts a little pricier but I think worth it.

The stores design is very eye catching with the white and black decor. Friendly staff, clean store, happy customers from what I saw and just a general welcoming environment. The wonderful barber Jade, has been cutting my hair for approximately 2 years. She is super friendly, always wants to get you a drink (for the appropriate time day obviously) to make you comftable. The vibe is always positive and upbeat. She gives the best haircuts I've ever had, and even my mum, a hairdresser says she is amazed by the results too. I always come to the barber shop not just for a haircut, but for the expierence. I'm always treated with the most amazing hospitality, given an amazing service and leaving feeling relaxed and beyond satisfied!

The place was clean even before Covid, but they have clearly made an extra effort to adhere to guidelines and ensure customers are comfortable. Super professional, great conversations, and all around great guy. The recent protections they've put in place in light of the pandemic helps put your mind at ease for an already difficult situation. Easily one of the top-ranking independent barbers in London. Slightly more convenient than the original branch for anyone that doesn't live in East London, this new location is easy to access from the Piccadilly line, Central line (via Holborn) and other parts of central London. Huckle is where you go for a sharp gentleman's haircut, wet shave or beard trim. There's a friendly vibe, booking is easy and all the team are great at what they do.

Luchino has been styling my hair for a good 6 years now. I followed him from Aveda and Ruffians as no way was I losing a hairdresser as good as he is. He has great style and this comes through in his work. He is always honest about whether a style will work for you and I trust him implicitly with my hair. He is also super friendly and interesting but always very professional. He is extremely honest about what will suit me. The salon is exquisite and the staff very friendly. Cannot recommend enough!

I got my first haircut with Lukinko nearly 3 years ago and haven’t changed since. I am always more then satisfied with the haircut he provides me as they are always what I’m after, whether that be a simple cut or complete restyle. I could not recommend him enough for anyone looking for a barber who takes great pride in each cut and ensures you are entirely happy before you leave. After having my hair cut with Lukinko I refuse to have it cut anywhere else, he’s just that good!

Trust me when I say he tried all the top end barbershop here in Paris, sometimes ending up paying €90 for average results, I am afraid. "Huckle the Barber" war nicht weit von mir entfernt. Im Salon angekommen begrüsste mich Marc sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte keinen Termin vereinbart. Marc hatte aber Zeit. Kann diesen Salon also nur empfehlen! Cooler Salon, gibt was zu trinken und mann fühlt sich einfach wohl. Werde vor meiner Abreise in London nochmals gehen!
