G. D.Bumped into this shop whilst walking past. Has a classic barber shop feel and was greeted by a gentleman. He took my jacket, keys and phone and allowed me to use the rest room before i got started. The haircut was not rushed by any means and it was around 90mins. Full works, beard, hair, razors etc. Even a wash before and after. I felt well pampered. He used the singeing fire technique to remove stray hairs around the facial areas. This is a true gem hidden away in the old Petticoat lane market area. If money is not an issue and you want a perfect symetrical cut for your special self then go and see this guy.

M. Y.These barber’s styles are different from the common rest. They used fire to remove facial and ear hair. I found the service excelent, efficient and fast; and the barber did it as I wanted which all barbers cannot achieve on my complex hair.
I highly recommend it, the haircut is professional and traditional from turkey, their experience is 20 years and the time they take for the haircut is really fast and time saving, on of that the result is also the top of all.

The owner really is an exceptional hair dresser and it's a nice relaxed atmosphere. They offer drinks, tea, water, beer, whatever you fancy and it's good value compared to the other hairdressers in the area. Besides that,
you get a warm towel at the end which is always a nice extra. It's also well located as its only a 4 min walk from Liverpool Street station. Highly recommend giving it a go if you are looking for a new barber.

As to the 1* review below - yes he is a bit cheeky sometimes about the price (at time of writing it's £22.50 and if the salon was a bit more polished it would be £40 like Jack the Clipper just nearby) but he hasn't been rude.
I've never thought he was drunk - the lemony stuff he uses on your hair after the cut does give off a decent alcoholic whiff.

The shop is welcoming and friendly, and though I do prefer to get cut by Ismail, the assistants he employes are just as good as he is. Of all the barbers I've used in central London over the many years he is by far the best: they easily spend 45 minutes on a cut, which always comes out great (and the same, if that is what you want). I pop in halfway between my monthly cuts for a quick, free 1 min trim, too.

Before discovering Isar I had tried a few different barbers around the Liverpool Street area but was unimpressed. All you got for your money was a 20 minute basic cut with little attention paid to detail or the customer experience. This is not the case at Isar where they take incredible care to ensure your cut is perfect. Ismail and his colleagues always take their time and pay great attention to detail.
In addition to getting an excellent haircut there are a few extras added in which really make this place stand out from the competition. You get a hair wash before & after the haircut (using top quality products from American Crew) and a hot towel afterwards. They also remove any ear hair using a special Turkish flame technique. The finishing touch is the application of a lemon scented fragrance on your hair and face which smells really good. I always leave the shop feeling fresh and looking sharp! I highly recommend Isar.
G.I ended up visiting this hair salon as I had been working in the area that day. Immediately before finding ISAR, I had popped into another barbers shop, nearby. However, the guy there was charging a lot for a simple number 3. I then found ISAR. The two gentlemen at ISAR were very welcoming. The price of my number 3 was very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by their warm hospitality. In addition to being very friendly, they offered me a cup of tea or coffee. This was something that I had never experienced in a male hair salon before. I thought that only female salons go that far to make people feel welcome. The barber took time to do a proper haircut. I don't know if these guys serve both male and females, but in terms of being a barber, they're definitely among the best that I've come across for both friendliness and quality hair cutting.

Der Laden sieht zwar nicht mehr so modern aus, aber man davon sollte man sich nicht täuschen lassen. Sehr freundlich. Nimmt sich Zeit und achtet auf die kleinsten Details. Das heiße Handtuch am Ende ist sehr angenehm. Hier würde ich wieder hinkommen.
