Very nice and friendly staff! Walked in with no appointment but was quickly seated as they had a spot free. Got a great haircut with Alan, very good chat as well. Showed him pictures of the hair style I wanted and he was very patient and careful in making it with no rush! Definitely recommend it and will go again when in London!

No much expert on barber shop, but a beard owner. My beard was well treated, I was good given beard caring advice and I had a good chat with the barber of the pic. Just a few details weren’t taken care so still looking for my beard best friend.

I can not speak for the other barbers here only for Dani (Toastie Styles) Good barbers in London aren't that common, I've been to a lot. Most of them will want the haircut to be over in 5-10 minutes and don't put in much effort. My cousin is a good barber who would cut my hair for free, has his own barber shop and dozens of people calling his phone everyday asking what time he's coming in but I still don't get my haircut by him. I don't want a good barber, I want a great one. Dani is the best barber I've ever been to in London and would definitely recommend her.

Staff are very goth, and heavily tattooed which is a little scary, but the trims are off the chain.

I've been searching for the right place to get my haircut in London for a while now (4 years). I've been to a lot of barbers in Central & East London, but never found the right place. Until now. The first thing I noticed when looking online was the price difference between johnny's and every other central barber. At £26 it seemed really reasonable. I booked in with Landon and it was a great decision! He was a cool dude and did an awesome job. I came in with vague ideas of what I wanted and he nailed it. I'll definitely be returning!

Had a fantastic hair cut at Johnny's chop shop. The staff are welcoming, friendly and fill you with confidence. My stylist took her time asking me what I wanted, advising and with the cut itself. I walked away with one of the best cuts I've ever had (and I'm very picky). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a cut here and will certainly be going back in the future. And at £26 for a cut in central London this is a bargain and you are getting more than your money's worth.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. They fit me in despite my not having an appointment. Free beer was offered to me. Received a great haircut, normally barbers struggle with my hair because it's so curly, or cut off too much despite me asking them not to. Very pleased with my haircut, will definitely return again, though will probably book an appointment in future.

So unlike, the other random critiques of this shop. And from what I've read, just people having baseless tantrums who happen to be able to operate a phone & or computer.. I really like Johnny's, So what do you expect from a hairdressers.. Great haircuts? - Well that's a check from me! Yeah good place to go if you want a haircut to your preference from compitant trained barbers. Good atmosphere? Well yeah it's a hairdressers.. so I don't know what you'd expect, but another check from me! The staff are always talkative, really friendly! The shop itself has good vibes also, cool decor & funky music. They even give out free drinks! So that's a bonus. I don't get into London much, but when I'm town & in need of a trim - I hit this place up🤙🏻 I recommend you ask for Richard, cool dude & his cuts are 🔥

I’d caught a few of Toasties Videos on youtube & while visiting the big city for a few days I thought why not !!! I’m of the older gen so a little fussy , booked in for a Cut & Beard trim .. all I can say is toasties was GREAT , took the time to ask me what I wanted , suggested changing cut as my hair is Thick My beard was in a bit of a mess , thick in places … she shaped & cut it better than I expected … next visit to London I’ll definitely be back , I left one happy customer !!! Here’s hoping you open a shop up in Nottingham … :)

A slighty biased review from a newyorker about Tostie (Dani Lewis) and about London: Pros: -cut on point -experienced -attentive to detail -perfectionist -patient Cons: -no social interaction, no smiles, robotic -won't adapt to new ideas -does not like directions -bored as hell She's definitely worth a try at best.
