Claudia was very sweet and lovely. She took time to understand what I wanted from my hair appointment. She took time to be gentle with my hair. She gave me so many helpful tips and products to use and not use for my hair type. Lovely conversation and make me feel really comfortable. Full balayage with warm tones, using the air touch making balayage really look natural. Love love the end results. Would definitely recommend for everyone. Definitely gonna be booking my next appointment with her.

I have been visiting this salon since 2015 - we have always had our hair cut by Paula who is not just very very talented with a pair of scissors but she is like a friend you can always chat to. Maybe you don't visit for a while (thanks, COVID!) but we always pick up the conversation where we left off. All staff are welcoming and so happy to help. I've never ever felt more comfortable when getting my hair cut - they truly understand the standards people look for. I always leave very happy, feeling validated and positive, too! Thank you :)

I had my hair done last week and had an amazing experience. There was a bit of unforeseen disruption which no one could have prevented but the team were professional, kept me informed and updated and most importantly patient and worked with me to take my hair from coloured to a lovely dark brown. I’ve been dyeing my hair for years and seeing it natural and healthy again has been so lovely. I’ve been staring at it this past week. I had my hair balayaged, treated, cut and blow dried by Selime, and was over the moon with the results. I asked for my virgin black Asian hair to be coloured red - not Sharon Osborne pillarbox nor too subtle, but definitely quite loud, bright and fun. Selime really met the brief and I love how my hair looks and feels. Also very friendly and warm service, I was impressed. Prices were good with the 50% off colour offer, which encouraged me to go with them. I heard of Live True via a glowing blog review, and would definitely recomend them myself ❤️ EDIT: Writing 2 weeks after I posted this, the colour has faded quite a lot... I know red is hard to maintain, but I wasn't informed that it would become light browny-pink from bright red in such a short amount of time. I still like it but I wanted it red, and should have been given much better colour care advice and heads up, as otherwise it was a lot of money then and going forwards, to maintain the desired shade.

I always get my hair done in Spain by my sister, who is a hairdresser, as it is difficult for me to trust someone else with my hair. After doing a lot of research, I chose to trust Live True London to look after my hair. I went to the Clapham North branch were Ingrid did an amazing job. She listened to my concerns and ideas about my hair's look and advised me what was best for me. Ingrid cut my hair and did my colour which had not been touched for over a year. I know my hair is probably not the easiest to cut and colour because it is very long and thick, but Ingrid had a lot of patience and she is a perfectionist. I am very happy with both the haircut and the colour, I also have got a lot of comments at work about how beautiful my hair colour looks. I am very happy about the way my hair turned out and I am happy to say that I have found a hairdresser I can trust in London! Thank you Ingrid!!

I'm always really worried about going to get my haircut and finding new hairdressers but this was the first time I've had a hairdresser who I felt like they actually knew what they were doing with my curly hair and one of the few times I've left a hairdressers feeling good! Claudia is friendly, professional, passionate, and simply awesome. The only thing I didn't like was that I got asked if I wanted a certain product used on me to help my hair be healthy but they didn't tell me it was an additional 40£. It would be nice to have known. I can’t recommend this salon enough. They had the arduous task of removing box dye from my hair (lockdown locks!) so this required skill, time and patience. Marvin is the God of Blonde! I went from brunette to honey blonde and having A LOT of thick hair, the bleach and toning process took 7hours. The salon is clean and stylish, with friendly staff. It's the first time I've done a transformation and I was apprehensive until I met Marvin. He was attentive from start to finish, honest, patient, professional, used creative suggestions, did exactly what I asked for and his bubbly personality made the whole experience pleasant and worthwhile. The colour blending from root to end is phenomenal, I get compliments on how well it matches my skin tone and brings out my eye colour. I never want to let anyone else touch my hair again! Bonus the best hair massage one can ever get and advice on hair maintenance. I was fortunate to book with a 50% discount offer, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford him, though he is worth every pound! With a technique that can only create masterpieces, I couldn't recommend Marvin enough.

I have been scalp bleaching for 8 years now and wanted to fade out my roots to eventually get back to my natural colour. Have had my hair coloured here by Claudia and Marvin, both of whom did fantastic jobs. I previously got my hair coloured copper by Marvin, who did an incredible job. He went above and beyond to make sure it looked perfect, and listened really carefully to what I wanted before perfecting it exactly. I would 100% recommend Marvin. I then returned 6 weeks later having attempted to add some colour to my roots myself which went disastrously wrong. Claudia, another of their fab senior stylists consulted with me to find a solution. Claudia was amazing. She listened and understood exactly what I was looking for. But not only that she's obviously seriously technically knowledgeable as well as creative, and explained exactly what and how she was doing to fix and improve the look. She found a solution to my difficult problem, and not only that but made my hair look beautiful. My colour has never looked so good! Would definitely recommend Claudia!

I booked in with Lille to turn my drab lockdown locks into a lovely rose-gold/sunset-esque hair colour. When I came in for my initial consultation a month before-hand I sent her pictures of the colour inspo etc. and when I turned up for my appointment she has patch tested some strands of hair to show me what the outcome would be and it was very spot on to what I had asked for. Edda in Clapham North salon is a colour guru. I travel all the way from Hampshire to see her. She listens to what you want, and delivers above and beyond. This is now the second time with her and every time she has exceeded my expectations. She takes her time, and knows what she is doing. Also helps that she is lovely, especially when you have 6 hours together haha. I have gone from box dyed, bad balayage first time, to blonde and now ashy brunette. Although the venue and the staff were good, I leave the place very unhappy as my hair was not left as I asked. I went for a full head highlights to have more light in my face and I ended up with a darker hair colour. The stylist said she used a darker toner and that it would get lighter with washes. But this is not what you expect after paying 100 quid. You are supposed to pay this for someone who's expert in dying hair, I should have received what I asked for.

I love Live True. I've been there heaps of times now and it's so good to know that whichever stylist you get, and whatever service you get, you're going to come out looking like a queen. I'm one of those people with absolutely zero idea of what I want done, I usually just point helplessly to my messy mop and say "fix pls?" and somehow they do. Also, they've been doing amazingly at being covid-safe despite being in quite a small space (note: attached pic is pre-pandemic!), and still running on time with appointments.

I went to Live True after a Lockdown experiment with pink box dye. Had a consultation with Claudia, who sat with me and talked through all the options of how to go back to blonde. She was clearly very knowledgable about colour and knew exactly what to try. We split it up into 2 appointments, one to get rid of the pink, then give my hair a break, and the second for highlights. Claudia knew that if we tried to do everything at once my hair wouldn’t be able to take the bleach. First time going to stylist LILLIE BELLEW and I couldn’t be happier! Girls will understand the fear of changing stylists let alone salons, combined with months of untouched covid hair and damage from years of bleaching. Lillie managed to get my hair to the most beautiful blonde (something I’ve been trying to achieve for years). We also added in micro-ring extensions for fullness. My hair hasn’t felt or looked this good in years. I have found a stylist and salon I’ll be sticking with. I took advantage of a post lock-down offer Live True Clapham had on and booked a foliage with Ingrid after my friend had told me about how much of an amazing colourist she is. I'm always quite nervous to have my hair coloured as it is a very dark brown and it doesn’t lift easily and I have had a few disasters before. Well colour me impressed! Not only she had me in and out of her chair in 2 and a half hours which I appreciate so much, but my hair looks amazing! I’m mostly happy with the outcome of my appointment, but it seems very expensive for the price when I didn’t even have a treatment included after getting balayage (almost £300 for medium length hair). When it was styled at the end, my hair looked great, but as soon as the blow dry wore off it doesn’t look nearly as good and a bit patchy... If I go back, I’m definitely going to book with a different stylist, as Sophie didn’t make me feel very comfortable, barely spoke and when I asked her questions about my hair and what we were going to do she was very snappy and dismissive. It was pretty disappointing. If your customer is paying almost £300 for their app, they’re there for 4 hours, and you’re in a customer facing role- be personable and nice to them! Because she barely communicated with me, my hair turned out to be way lighter than I wanted it.

Always 5/5. Been coming here for 2 years and my colourist (Paula) is second to none. I researched a lot of places before choosing Paula at Live True. I’m choosy with my hair and I wanted someone who is up to date with the latest techniques and puts hair care and maintaining and improving the health of hair, as a priority. She’s always friendly, explains options without being patronising and the results are ALWAYS brilliant. My hair is healthier than its ever been (which can be difficult for platinum blondes!), and it’s thanks to the careful care of Paula and her magic hands. She does my extensions and colour, and I’m constantly complimented on my hair, and I’ve sent so many people to her. I’ve seen the odd negative review about staff sometimes being late, but this is a hairdressers, waiting the occasional 15 minutes is fairly normal universally so please don’t take these reviews too seriously. I’ve never had a negative incident at this salon, with any of the staff. I always find in life in general, if you’re nice, you’ll get niceness back. Particularly after the last few months, be kind.

Whilst I was there I was asked to pay an extra £70 because Toner was not included - The salon is extremely messy so the experience doesn’t match the price, this is not ‘high end’! - My highlights were left on for 50 minutes because there aren’t enough sinks.. and as a result my hair is now incredibly knotted/damaged - My half head of highlights is more like a quarter head - there are none in the back!

I strongly recommend Orlando, and never give my hair for cuts or colour to anyone else! I literally travel for an hour and change tubes to get there, since I know I will be taken care of properly and don't have to worry about my hair! I was asked to leave a review so here goes. I love the colour of my hair that Danny did BUT.. I was really upset as to how much it cost to the point I could of cried after!! £239 for a balayage with toner and olaplex which I feel I could of done with out at least one of them. I think they charge for blow drying the hair as well and was a bit rough pulling my hair which left me with a sore scalp the rest of that day. I was waiting around as the hairdresser was seeing to another client while I saw all the other hairdressers concentrating on their one customer. I think for the cost and prevention of waiting around all the hairdressers should focus on one customer at a time. I would only recommend this place if you have the intention to spend £200+ money on your hair. I think they could have a way of adding extra services on top of what you asked for. I won't be visiting again unfortunately but I thought I would leave a review as well to give other customers a heads up!!

I was treated horribly after I expressed my discontent about the colour of my hair which turned out completely the opposite of what I wanted. The reason this review has 5 stars is solely because of Paula at Live True London Clapham. After she spent an hour consulting with me what would be the best for my incredibly damaged hair and dirty blonde colour, she managed to create a nice shade of blonde and leave it in a very good and clean condition, considering the fact that the previous guy totally ruined my hair (had to cut 6cm of burnt hair). I am amazed at what she was able to do, the care and patience she had and I am really happy I can at least have a normal colour until I am able to bleach it again. Many thanks again for her service!

I discovered Live True in November 2016. My hair dream at the time was to have pink pastel hair. I had a trip coming up to go to Amsterdam for a few days for the first time so it was important that i had my hair ready for the occasion! Now prior to this I initially tried some other hairdressers up the high street (RUSH, Witches Hut etc.) I told them my pink hair idea and they all said that i shouldn't do it! They all said the bleaching process is the worst and it will be too much maintenance. They certainly put me off that idea of even considering it anymore, but i still wanted it, because, why not? So as a last effort I came across Live True and thought to just ask them hoping to see if they could help and give me what I have always wanted. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by Orlando, one of the senior hair colourists who literally sat me down and made me tell him what I wanted and how we could make it happen. He was super excited about my idea and couldn't wait to start. He warned me a fair few times that because I had brown/blonde/golden tones in my hair that the bleaching process will take two sessions, from brown to white blonde. He insisted on me doing two sessions instead of one, (because some people have pushed for bleaching their hair in one session because how how desperate they are or impatient) he told me the longer it takes to get the hair you want the better it is for your hair. So I said yes! and I was booked in through the Treatwell app. After all the appointments i finally had my pink hair and fell in love with it. I was extremely grateful and super happy with the results. Ever since then I have only gone to him for any balayage top ups and i am still super happy. I also get my hair cut there by Lalo, he is wonderful and always give my hair a little something different each time he cuts it and i just love it. Because of the people that work here is why i go to this hairdressers, their consideration and genuine care for your hair is enough to keep me there. It's wonderfully perfect and i would definitely recommend!

Had my hair cut by Szindy yesterday and I’m really disappointed with the cut and experience. I felt like she didn’t listen to me when I said I didn’t want it too short and that I liked my hair with lots of volume but she just did what she wanted and cut loads off and thinned it lots too so now my hair is really short and flat. This is the second person in a row I’ve had from Livetrue who hasn’t listened to me and feel it’s a really common thing for hairdressers to do. I understand they are trained to know how to cut hair but ultimately it is my hair and if I say I want it a certain way I have paid a lot of money to have it cut that way. I also know my hair better than anyone else so if I say that’s what I normally have done then who are they to argue with that? On a positive note, the salon is nice and staff are friendly overall, but some training on listening to clients properly and finding a compromise could be worth exploring! Thanks

I love getting my hair done at Live True London. They are always very helpful and friendly in helping you get just the right colour and cut. They really look after you when you're there and give you lots of tips for free on how to maintain your hairstyle! I've been there for full heads of colour and also popped in for blow drys and treatments. They always give you their full attention when you're there and you leave feeling wonderful! I'll be back again soon! Also, I should add that their Covid restrictions are top notch. Temperature screening at the door, patch tests done outside, baskets for your belongings, separation screens up, masks on, 2 metres apart - the whole deal! I felt very safe.

I was recommended by a friend to come to have my haircut by Szindy and I believe it was the best decision I have taken lately. SZindy recommended me to try a technique called balayage in order to get a blended lighter colour. It it amazing the outcome, and since then I am recommending SZindy to everyone I know . The second time I’ve been to LiveTrue London Clapham Salon and absolutely love it every time! Great vibes in the salon and incredibly passionate hairdressers. The salon is clean, great music and has put in place lots of hygiene and social distancing precautions for the client and staff safety. My hairdresser, Lillie Bellew, is incredible!
