This was my third time going to Not Another Salon with Norman and I cannot rave about this place (and Norman!) enough! I am always so over-the-moon happy with the results and have such a fun time during the appointment, it's UNREAL. Norman is a GENIUS when it comes to hair colour and care, and each time I come back, I let him take the reins more and more because I'm so excited to see what he can come up with. The vibe of the salon and the staff is so open and welcoming, I literally feel like I'm catching up with my friends when I go. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough and already can't wait for my next appointment!!! LOVE YOU GUYS and thank you so so much for my rhubarb and custard dessert hair!!! 💕😍💖

I have been going to Not Another Salon for a couple years now and I can not explain how much I love coming there enough! Arron performs absolute magic on my hair time and time again and I ALWAYS leave the salon feeling the best I’ve ever felt. He listens, he is honest and takes such pride in his work and your hair. Everyone here is friendly, trendy, and warm. The staff here clearly enjoy what they do and it shows in their beautiful work! I’ve been coming to NAS for 4 years now, and there’s nowhere else like it. Norman is an absolute superstar, honestly my hair has never looked better or been healthier, he has worked some serious miracles! He also happens to be a total ray of sunshine which makes the whole experience a DREAM. Plus there’s tunes, an epic biscuit tin & the warmest welcome. I LOVE GETTING MY HAIR DONE AT NOT ANOTHER SALON!!!!! Norman is my man and he's the best. We always call it a mental health appt and it literally is. It's relaxing, I have fun and I come out with the most gorgeous hair every time. Norman is also just absolutely lovely. I'm never really sure exactly what I want and he just helps me figure it out, I trust him completely, and I always come out with beautiful hair. Norman is my stylist now and I really look forward to my appointments. Since then, Norman has transformed my hair and helped me keep it in better condition than it ever has been. He’s extremely knowledgable and has taught me how best to look after my hair at home too which means it stays looking amazing even between treatments. I’ve been coming to this salon for over a year now and could not recommend it enough. I used to dread going to salons because I always felt awkward and I was never happy with my hair, but this salon is a completely different experience. The atmosphere is so positive and everyone who works there is super welcoming and friendly. I have been going to Not Another Salon for 6 years and when I say I will use this salon and only this salon forever, I mean it. The team alone are enough of a reason to make this salon as special as it is - but the talent encompassed in their quirky cool space just off of buzzing Brick lane, is the reason I will go here forever. Since moving back to London 6 years ago, I have never been to another hairdressers. Every time I booked in, I tried a new team member, and can honestly say I have NEVER left there disappointed ( shout out to Connor and Arron whom are both unreal). My last time was with Norman - whom I could write a whole separate review about in itself as he is such a special, hilarious, charismatic person, and that's talent aside. But talking talent - if I had a pound for every time I got a compliment on my hair colour, I would have my next 3 treatments paid for. That says it all - he is a genius. Personally, I couldn't ask for anymore from the experience - from booking and liaising with the beautiful Bladon on reception, the conversation, the vibe, the aesthetic, and the the way you are listened to and part of the process from start to finish is like no other. As you have probably gathered, I rate Not Another Salon MASSIVELY as they are both style and substance, talent and class & so much more than just (plenty) pretty faces. xxx

I found Not Another Salon on IG and saw Norman for a colour correction (got it done elsewhere 2 months prior and was not happy with it). I had seen his work on IG and was blown away. Let me tell you, this salon and Norman live up to the hype. Upon entering you can see what a fun, free and safe space it is. I was warmly greeted and had a fantastic consult with Norman. He actually sat down and listened to what I wanted. We looked at pictures together and he set realistic expectations which helped me get a good picture of what the end result would look like. On the day of my appointment I had a blast with Norman and Robin who was helping out. We were all chatting and laughing away, the time flew by. More importantly, Norman made me feel comfortable enough that if I didn’t like something about hair, I could tell him and not feel bad or like I was wasting his time. Fortunately, I was thrilled with my colour correction! He gave me a beautiful mushroom colour balayage. I can’t stop looking in the mirror at my hair. He is so talented and did an incredible job. I already booked a follow-up. I feel really lucky to have found a great salon/stylist. I highly recommend this salon and Norman for all your hair needs.

I was compelled to leave a review about Norman at Not Another Salon (NAS) because he is just absolutely brilliant at what he does!! I have been seeing Norman Boulton for over a year now.. he knows his stuff and will ensure you leave the salon looking a million dollars. I wanted to embrace my grey hair which I grew out in lock down but used to wear a hat as I wasn’t confident with how my hair looked. Then I found Norman and each time I have seen him I leave the salon full of confidence and loving my hair! He told me “it’s a journey we are on to get the required result I am looking for” (all over silver grey hair). Technically: the best you can find. NAS ensures there is no compromise with their skills and techniques and Norman is the best in my eyes. Atmosphere: you will be entertained throughout your visit..banter, music, biscuits and drinks galore!! Pricing: There’s no BS, just real talk and price transparency. You get your monies worth plus more. Final comment: if your looking for someone to trust colouring and styling your hair definitely check NAS out. They genuinely have your best interests at heart and really care. Sophia, Brandon, Conor, Lorcan, Jay and all the staff I have not mentioned are truly amazing!! I first visited NAS around 5 years ago and had the pleasure of being taken care of Carla (who sadly is no longer at the salon), and now I have the absolute pleasure of having Norman as my go-to stylist - I would not trust ANY OTHER person in the world when it comes to my hair colour. A professional of the highest order and a real master of his craft. I felt like having a bit of a change recently as I was getting in a hair styling rut, and I trusted Norman's advice/recommendation on what hair colour to go for - and no regrets at all - I am OBSESSED with the colour of my hair!!! After following them for years I went along to get my shabby post-covid and baby hair transformed ahead of my wedding. I’m always dubious about salons that advertise themselves as an ‘inclusive space for everyone’ and was bracing myself to feel soooo uncool. But it was such a lovely experience! Everyone clearly loves their job, was so laidback and welcoming, and the actual cut and colour was beyond perfect. Normal and Lorcan are the dream team! I’ve never felt so comfortable in a salon. I absolutely love this place. I've been going here for about 6 months now. I've curly hair, type 3a&b and really wanted a vibrant hair colour, without compromising my curls. I saw Sophia the first time and she was so amazing, the colour, the cut, perfecto. Since then, I've seen the wonderful Lorcan, who smashes it every time, and is an absolute sweetheart. There is no other place I would trust to take care of my hair. They do such an amazing job and the salon is always filled with amazing people. Everyone that works at NAS is so gorgeous and friendly I love coming to the salon even just to pop in and say hi 😂 always have yummy snacks and drinks (shoutout to Bladon). Amazing atmosphere and such funny, kind stylists who really know their stuff, especially when it comes to colour. Though known for their big flashy colour transformations, Jeremy turned my hair into exactly what I wanted - soft ashy blonde balayage with my roots still naturally black. First thing anyone I showed it off to said was, "wow how does that look so natural??" so you know he did an incredible job. I've been prepping to get my hair done for almost a year, after having a consultation with Jeremy when my full blonde was growing out during lockdown, so it was magical to finally have it happen. Also they brought me tea and biscuits throughout the day so that was a bonus... A shout out to Jay and Lorcan for helping out with my hair (and for the craic) too!!

I've been going to NAS now for over a year and I have never had a bad experience. Norman has been my main stylist and colourist since I walked in and he's been the most accommodating gent every time. The whole crew and amazingly friendly and lovely. Always made sure I'm comfortable with tea and biscuits or something chilled like cloudy lemonade. Yes it's the most expensive hair cut/colour I've ever had but it was worth it! I had Annie who was lovely, and really understood my thick, curly and mostly frizzy hair. I had a creative colour - I was talked into having lilac/pink balayage instead of just pink and it really worked. The cut was excellent and my hair still looked good (and neat!) weeks after the creative colour had faded. If you have curly hair I highly recommend Annie - honestly one of the best cuts ever.

Everything about NAS is amazing! Everyone there is so lovely and friendly - constantly making sure that you're comfortable. I absolutely loved my haircut and balayage with Aaron. I also got a colour today with Norman which was just perfect. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to colouring my hair (always worried about hair damage and ruining my curls) yet they both managed to create colours that were amazing with no damage to my curls. They also take the time to understand how to deal with my curly hair, never pressured me into straightening it and they actually let me style it like I normally do. It's always a very pleasant experience and I'm always looking forward to my next visit.

I’ve been coming here for nearly 3 years now, for the academy and as a client, and I would never dream of going anywhere else! I genuinely would trust anyone in here to do my hair, from the assistants to the head colourists, as they are all so well trained and lovely! The owner of the salon Sophia has given me beautiful face frames and highlights which I adore, and Arron once made my hair into a gorgeous sunset, and I’ve tried nearly every non-staining hair colour there is with little to no damage to my hair! I have never had a bad experience here and they have been the only ones to bleach and colour my hair. Their staff have given me such great advice on how to take care of my hair and when I leave my hair is always styled so nicely. I will keep coming back as long as they’re happy to have me! A huge massive shout out to Norman from Not Another Salon for turning me into an actual living breathing unicorn person 🦄😍 I came to Norman with ultra long, ultra stained green hair after a different salon did me dirty and told me "temporary" purple dye would wash out of my icy blond locks. Fast forward 6 months and I looked like Rapunzel if she had become an Olympic swimmer and spent the summer in a chlorine heavy pool with no swimming cap on. Very un-cute. 0/10. Would not recommend. I met with Norman a couple times and explained my incredibly difficult hair needs - I wanted to look fly and live out my Hot Girl Summer™ dreams, but also because I have a corporate job that means I have to be somewhat reserved. Well call him the Amazon Prime of the hair world, coz girl he DELIVERED. He listened to everything I said, worked with me every step of the way, was completely transparent on both the costs and the reality of what we could and couldn't achieve, and in the end I left that salon looking the best I've ever looked. My hair stops traffic. My hair knows about dark matter and anti gravity. My hair breaks up arguments. My hair performs CPR. My hair could take on Chuck Norris and come out victorious. Salon staff are amazing, super friendly and make you feel good about your hair. BUT! I genuinely hate my hair, I went in wanting rose gold colour and i got red instead. Initially I put it down to lighting and camera but when I visited friends they said my hair is red. This is nothing against the stylist hence why I give 4 star but it took me 3 years and nearly £400 to pluck the courage to bleach my thick black hair and I wont be doing that ever again. Update 18 aug 2020 Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Sophia, she reached out personally to rectify my hair and I couldn't be happier. Thank you to you and your team for working til late to give me the hair I'd be happy with.

I had a really great experience at Not Another Salon. I have been getting my hair done there for several months now and have nothing but good things to say. They set expectations with me from the beginning, and always made sure my hair was staying healthy (I was going from very dark brown to almost platinum white). The staff are very nice and friendly, and each one has a specialisation, so you know you're getting the best person for the job. Assistants are also very skilled and knowledgeable. Even though I wanted to get to platinum all over, it wasn't quite working out, since I have very resilient, dark hair that did not lift well, it allowed me to try out all sorts of fun colours. I also had my hair cut there once with a stylist Hattie and she spent so much time and energy making sure not a hair was out of place. That bob became LEGENDARY at my work. The owner, Sophia, is the best. She's very hands-on , clearly an expert, and really cares about what she does. Overall, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experiment and try new things with their hair.

Had a great session with Norman today, he is extremely skilled and friendly and he made sure that i was comfortable the entire time. The staff talk you through all the steps and what your expectations should be and they go way beyond regular salons as they care about your hair in the long run and not just on the day of your appointment with them. I am not a fan of going to the hairdressers, I find it a bit dull and you never end up getting the haircut you want because the hairdresser knows best but this all changed with Not Another Salon. I found the whole experience amazing, made to feel so welcome and what an incredible salon! Ben my stylist listened to what I wanted but also added in his creative flair to recommend what he would do with my hair. I felt completely confident with him and was my best cut to date!
