I came here a few weeks ago for a haircut and I have to say I wasn’t overly impressed. I found it after it came up on GQ but I’ve no idea why. Firstly the receptionist was miserable, unfriendly and came across like she couldn’t be bothered being there. First impressions count and this was a big turn off! Secondly, the barber could barely speak English and had to keep asking the receptionist over to translate. I got the impression he had only ever worked with razor cuts because he didn’t totally get how to cut my hair with scissors. What I would say though is he was a lovely guy and I was reasonably happy with the cut in the end.

AMAZING. I'd not had a haircut in about 2 years, was growing it out because why not, and last week decided I needed to tame the mane. I booked Dada, I arrived on time and he was ready to go. I was offered a drink - I had a bottle of water, but I think they have soft-drinks & beer too. They have music playing too - I liked that because I don't like to chat when I get my haircut. I'm really pleased with the cut and I'll be coming back.

My first time coming to RXB and I’ll definitely be back! I desperately needed a cut before a wedding and left feeling super fresh. Dada was really attentive and gave me a high quality cut, spending the time to get it right and give extra flourishes such as hot towel shave and shoulder massage. The other barbers seemed to be giving out some nice cuts, so will give them a try in the future too

The best barbers I’ve been to. I’ve tried everywhere to find a good barbers for my beard especially who will actually look at how it grows and do a good shape and listen to what i have asked for. I was in London for an interview and found RXB through a GQ article. Was thoroughly impressed from the get go, easy to use booking system confirmed by text. When I turned up the atmosphere was excellent, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and more importantly the barber had a great attention to detail and it is the best haircut I've had! Thoroughly recommended and I will be back!

I went there today for the first time , Jose cut my hair , a real perfectionist, he really took his time to make sure that everything was 100% ok , Great results in the end . Very friendly atmosphere all around. Due to demand this place will get quite busy so make sure you call or book in advance.

I would give RXB Barbers a higher rating if I was not disappointed by the end result. When entering the shop you are greeted by a receptionist who offers you a refreshment - Which I was really happy and impressed with. When I was choosing which haircut to go with and trying to describe to the barber what I'm looking for I received a harsh "Do not confuse me, Do not confuse me" tone which I was shocked about especially from the professionalism I received at the start with the complimentary refreshments which you do not usually get in a standard barber shop in the local area. The haircut I received was just over satisfactory not exactly what I was looking for, would recommend RXB Barbers if you are local to Brixton/Kennington wouldn't travel miles to this barber shop. With that said massive praises to the overall service I received and hope to be returning there in the near future if visiting Brixton.

I was surprised, this was a barbershop when I walked in. Really nice interior, coffee machine, free drinks - Evian or Caprisun. The flyer with the lights around it - very eye catching and professional. Came with my nephew and it was a wonderful experience, he prefers RXB, what he calls 'the nice barbershop' to the local one any day. You've got a repeat customer - see you next time for my appointment. Hopefully more barbershops follow your lead

First time trying this place, and was a bit apprehensive as I always am going to a new barber as my hair is badly behaved...., but I didn't need to be. Dada cut my hair and beard all for £25 and the fade and skill of the cut was better than a place where I was paying £58 per cut! I'm growing my hair on top so I can't comment on scissor work, but everything else was great. Staff friendly too, and nice coffee. I can see there are mixed reviews depending on who cuts your hair, but if I go back and have the same level of service I'll be a regular customer.

Possibly one of the best barbers i've encountered. Being a walk in customer, i was served pretty quickly (15 minutes). The recetionist is a lovely touch and the queue is well managed. I was offered everything from coffee, evian water, corona and heinikens. To top it all off... I left the place looking like a citizen again, ready for my presentation the next day, not like the gremlin i went in looking like. keep up the good work - same time in 2 weeks -

I've going to this barbershop since last November. Excellent customer service, always greeted with a smile and offered something to drink. It's super clean and the barbers are well qualified, to give you the exact haircut you have in mind. Music is always good. Marlon, my barber, is amazing. He is fast, and understands quickly what you ask of him. Would definitely recommend visiting them, and check if he is free!

RXB is one of the best barber shops I've been to. When walking in you are greeted by a receptionist who goes through the services with you and asks which barber you'd prefer to see. You are then offered a drink while you wait. The receptionist then calls you up when it's your turn with the barber you've selected, making the whole process really smooth and professional. I see the same barber every time and my haircut is consistently on point - easily best haircut I've had. Haircuts are well-priced for the level of skill the barbers have, the consistency and quality of the haircut, and the service provided while in the shop.

It's recently under new management with different barbers who in my opinion aren't as good as the previous ones. Last time I went I left feeling amazing... Today I left feeling not so great. It's not a bad cut per se, it's just not the same standard as the previous owners. And I had to push quite hard to get a result I was happy leaving the shop with. My line up was a bit wonky and I had to ask several times for it to be straightened out. Even now I'm not fully happy with the line up, but after a while I was getting looks as if I was just being fussy, so I just left it. Also no provisions for Coronavirus at all. I had to insist my barber wear a mask.

Had my hair cut by Marciano a few times now and he delivers every single time. One of the best barbers I've ever had his attention to detail is amazing I can truly expect to come off the chair feeling great. The customer service here is unmatched from having a receptionist to having them offer you a drink. Appointments have been on time every single time. Iv been going to this shop for over 4 months now and iv never been disappointed. Personally I prefer booking with Tchai, for the price your paying I believe it's the best hair cut experience you can get in South London. Walk in and you greeted by a receptionist and offered a beverage. Music is nice and not too over bearing and the cut well you gotta give it a go and see for yourself. Brilliant haircuts for my two boys yesterday and fantastic service. One of my boys has autism and we haven't had a successful trip to a barber before. Marlon did his hair and was absolutely fantastic, so kind patient, thorough and supportive - my son had such a positive experience and came out feeling a million dollars with a fantastic fade and style. My other son couldn't decide what he wanted and Tchai was so patient and again did a brilliant job. Thank you so much - we will definitely be back!!!

By far the best haircut I've received. Moved from North London to South London and had been travelling back and forth every time for a haircut. Decided to make a change and found out about RXB. It was the best barber experience I've had and it was great to be somewhere and feel as though the barbers were actually at work. No barbers on their phones, no barbers in and out for smoke breaks or taking time away from cutting my hair to joke around, it was strictly business. Marlon did a great job and i'd recommend him to anyone. Small touches like even just having a card machine, offering me a drink (beer!!), calling me "Sir", made the whole experience great. Safe to say i will no longer be trekking back to North London for a haircut.

I've given it 4 stars rather than 5 because it was cash only when I visited so I had to find a cash machine in order to pay (card payments will be available again shortly). Without a shadow of a doubt this the best haircut I have received. I walked in after having a bad experience at another barbers not far from this one. After waiting no more than 10 minutes I was seated with an extremely nice lad called Alessio, I explained I'd just had a bad experience earlier on in the day and he made me feel at ease. This place is amazing! Tidy, bright. Professional and friendly barbers. When last did you see barbers looking like they are at work? The ones are R&B look the part. Pleasant music. Went in as a walk in just after lunch and didn't have to wait long. I needed to get my undercut redone plus a little trim off the top, and this place was just around the corner from my accommodation. I didn't really have the vocabulary to ask for what I wanted because I've gone to the same hairdresser for the last 15 years back home to get "the usual". So I vaguely asked for a 1-to-2 fade underneath, about 1 cm off the top, and that's what I got. My barber was very confident with the undercut, and perhaps slightly less so with the scissors on top. In all fairness, I have Asian hair with lots of roots, so I almost felt a bit guilty in the end! He was very gentle & deliberate with my trim. The only reason for the missing star is that the cut ended up taking far longer than I would ever expect.

Absolutey amazing... Initially, I was recommended by a friend of mine to come to the shop. They made me feel welcome straight off the jump. I was offered a selection of drinks, all for FREE!! With music playing in the background, allowed the clients - like myself - to listen to music they wouldn’t usually listen to which is always fun discovering new things. I was attended to after by a young man by the name of Marciano if I am not mistaken. Not only did he make me feel comfortable by easing me with conversation, the haircut was impeccable to the finest detail. Keep up the good work guys, you’ve got yourselves a new regular customer!

Hands down the best Barber experience I have ever had. I have been looking for a good Afro Caribbean barbers but have been left extremely disappointed by the lack of care and attention most barbers pay to their customers, with the results subsequently reflecting that. At RXB I found my barber to be extremely professional with close attention paid to the little details that make a great haircut. I also have slightly sensitive skin around my hairline so zero gaped liners tend to leave cuts. The barber here noticed my skin and used a transformer with the liners to lower the power without sacrificing the sharpness of the line. Best £20 I have ever spent if this is how every customer experience is. Thanks again RXB, keep up the good work.

Clean. Nice ambiance. Decor is nice. You get offered tea / coffee / evian. All staff are uniformed, professional, and polite. This barbershop is definitely a cut above the rest...the price of haircuts also reflects that. Prices are higher than average, with a regular trim being £20.

I have been three times here before, the customer service is faultless. During the most recent type, there was an accident with my haircut meaning I ended up with a completely different style than the one I wanted. RxB is an amazing barbershop. As a female I feel comfortable when I go there, unlike most other barbershops I’ve been to the staff at RxB are very respectful. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and might I add the deco is beautiful. Although I agree with a lot of the other reviews concerning the waiting time, I’ve recently been made aware of Appointments - Now there is little-no issue with waiting. The appointments are completely worth it. I would recommend this barbershop / salon to anyone. And might I add ALLl the barbers do their job well. Keep It up guys

I'd been a regular for over a year until recently. They used to charge £5 to book in advance (£10 for same day) which I always thought was cheeky but I would just book far enough ahead and pay the extra fiver. This recently went up to £10 and £15, which doesn't come off the price of the cut (£20). So if you want to book this will cost you at least £30. This feels like just another way to extract money out of their customers. If you don't book you'll probably have to wait an hour or more because the place is always busy. I've never had a bad haircut here, which is why it gets three stars but the booking system is ludicrous. I got my last haircut at Excel Barbers, turned up and waited 15 minutes for a great haircut that cost £12. Save yourself the time and money and go to one of the many other barbers in the area.

RXB sit amongst the elite in quality barbershops. The set up is first class. One word 'organised' I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a haircut! Melodie and her team are friendly and professional. The barbers ask questions with a smile and the attention to detail for your specific requirements is superflous. Yann and Damien are some of the barbers provide magazine cover ghost fades. This is not your typical screwface barbershop. If you want value for money RXB all day everyday.

The guys put in a lot of effort but the results don't justify the price tag. After a few days the hair on my crown started to stick straight up.
