I visited for a back wax in preparation for a tattoo. It has been about 2 years since I last had my back waxed; thankfully I'm not 'Robin Williams hairy' so I can get away with it and truth be told I mainly have it done because it makes me feel good.
Having experienced more therapists than I care to remember I can now generally get a sense of how things will go from the first meeting.
Why am I telling you this in a review? It's to give you a bit of a backstory (no pun intended)
A female friend recommended Ashley as someone who knew what they were doing and she wasn't wrong. Ashley's very bubbly and personable and exuded an air of confidence the moment she greeted me.
The treatment room, which is down a short flight of stairs, is compact but welcoming. It could benefit from a hook on the back of the door although there's ample space to place your belongs but I'm not sure how it'd go with wet weathered items.
Once settled down on the table it was obvious from the get go that Ashley did indeed know what she was doing and, by her own admission, enjoys what she does.
Having had some truly awful waxing experiences you really appreciate the good ones. Ashley worked quickly and methodically, chatting as she did so, and the whole thing was done in 20 minutes.
On the basis of this visit I'd have no qualms about returning again, after the tattoo heals of course, and would highly recommend Ashley, especially if you're of a nervous disposition as her friendly, confident manner is bound to put you at ease.
Pricing was a very reasonable £30 which included shoulders and the top of arms.

She took her time, was kind and made sure I was comfortable (water, tea, coffee and biscuits are offered) and despite it being a standard mani - it lasted considerably longer than others I've had elsewhere (got nearly 3 weeks out of it!). Prices are also very competitive. Definitely recommend.
