M. P.Adrian and Bartek did my hair about a week ago. I was scared of getting it done before cuz of bad experiences in the past. Just gotta say they're amazing, gave me a head full of highlights and and subtle but nice haircut. They were super sweet and friendly, answering any questions I had and making me feel secure. Recommended me aftercare which I bought straightaway and have to say that I feel my hair healthier now than before getting it done.
M. W.Adrian is a colouring king! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dark blonde hair. He always makes it look so natural - which is exactly what I like. He's extremely professional, absolutely knows what he's doing. Not to mention he's so lovely and genuinely a great chat! Thanks so much Adrian! See you soon (after all this madness is over)!

E. H.From the moment you walk in, you feel very welcome in this beautiful salon. The staff is lovely and professional. I had my hair done twice now by Gemma & Hollie and I’ve never been happier with my hair. They are both masters at their crafts and always prioritize my wishes. Gemma is a true colour wizard, she picks exactly the right shades to keep brassy tones away without damaging my hair. Hollie is the best at cutting fine hair, mine has never felt more thicker and voluminous! I will continue to travel to Londen to have them do my hair at least once a year, since I don’t live in the UK.
R. O.Until I went to Gemma I thought it was a waste of money to get your hair professionally coloured. She is a true artist and will give you advice from a hair health point of view. I always leave the salon with a really glossy colour that lasts not just until the next wash. Hollie also styles my hair and is the master at taking the minimum off, which is a god send for someone like myself who is trying to grow my hair long. A really great duo who work well together.

S.Finding a good colourist in London who is not only good at what they do but cares about what they do to your hair is really hard so after lots of research and hearing how amazing Gemma was at smiths are I booked in with the dream team that are Gemma and Holly. Before them my hair was bleached within an inch of its life and I was addicted to hair extensions as the quality of my own hair was poor. Gemma the queen of colour really listened and took her time in talking me through what she felt would be best way of giving me the colour I wanted but also improving the health of my hair . She wanted the extensions gone, a beautiful blonde colour and hair that looked in her words "expensive" which I loved the sound of!
Gemma explained that we also need Holly’s help with improving the quality of the hair by her magic cutting skills and she also gave me strict instructions as to what products to use and how I can help with the transformation at home. I did as I was told and let them work their magic and even after the 1st session my hair looked and felt better and now 9 months later I can honestly say they did exactly as promised- Expensive beautiful long hair with no extensions that’s never felt better and to top it off Holly the queen of the wave styles my hair to perfection. I don’t know how I lived without them and not only are they both super talented but they are both absolutely lovely. The salon is also lovely, great vibe with lots of friendly faces who are all so warm and welcoming.

R. P.I absolutely love Smiths because my colourist, Gemma is unbelievable at her job! As a curly haired, mixed race woman, it’s often SO difficult to find people who can do my type of hair and Gemma continues to do THE BEST colour & always looks after the condition of my hair which can be so rare. My hair is naturally dark brown and she’s taken it to a platinum blonde whilst keeping the condition really healthy. Other salons have often made me feel like I have to apologise for the amount of hair I have and how much time it takes to do, but Gemma ALWAYS goes above and beyond to make my afternoon feel full of pampering, relaxation and amazing results at the end. I cannot recommend her enough, as a Hair colourist and all round wonderful human. The rest of the team are always super lovely too & help create the lovely atmosphere SMith’s has.

After a long time of killing my hair with harsh bleach highlights and being fed up of the regrowth, Gemma reassured me she could show me another way to achieve a natural colour whilst restoring my hair quality. I loved the end result so much. I then had Holly at the salon cut my hair which now makes it feel so much healthier, less tangly and look more neat and stylish.
The whole experience is first class, the salon is gorgeous and I’ll defintely be back for all my future hair needs!

Gemma, has been the only person to colour my hair for the past 12 years. Her skill, knowledge and passion for colour is second to none. She is constantly keeping herself up to date with new trends, techniques and colours available.
She is super friendly and never fails to have a good chat whilst also recognising when there have been times I have needed an hour to myself!
I have been growing my hair since forever and it never seemed to get past my shoulders until Gemma started doing my colour. Whilst many colour technicians will give you the look you want without considering the consequences on your hair Gemma always has the health of the hair in mind and has never compromised the condition of mine. This has led to amazing growth, now my hair is mid way down my back and has never looked so healthy despite being a blonde!
I cannot recommend Gemma highly enough, she truly is THE BEST colour technician in London!!
C. W.Unmatched quality of styling and professionalism. Smith’s was the second salon I tried in London when I moved to town in 2015, and I haven’t been able to match the quality of styling since. I now live in Switzerland, despite having tried a number of salons, I fly back to London regularly to just have my hair cut by Hollie. She just gets hair. When she isn’t around, Bart does beautiful cuts and styling for me. Hollie has also styled my hair for special occasions, and has been incredibly understanding about booking makeup artists at the salon, which has been incredibly convenient given Smith’s central location. I have not once been disappointed.
L. B.The only hairdresser I've ever been faithful to. Gemma and Hollie are basically magicians and make my hair look incredible even when I come in looking like a scarecrow. Every single member of staff here is friendly, from the moment you call to make your appointment to the trainees who do great head massages. AND they often have dogs in, just hanging out while you're pretending to read the magazines on offer. It's literally heaven on earth.
g. k.Smiths is easily the best salon in London! I should know as I’ve been to so many of them - had the habit of trying out loads based on other reviews or offers. I can say that is not the road to go down if you want to be truly happy with your hair. I’ve been going to see Gemma for my colour for around 4/5 years now and she is just incredible at what she does. My hair is super thick and some hairdressers get stressed by that rushing through colour to get the job done. Gemma is patient and meticulous and takes enoromous pride in what she does. If you’re thinking of trying out Smiths don’t hesitate and ask for Gemma. Mel and Paul are fab at cutting too!
T. R.I’ve been having my hair done at Smiths hair salon for I think about 4 years now and I can’t go anywhere else! Gemma is my colourist and has been for the full 4 years and she literally saved my hair. Unlike most salons who would just carry on bleaching and colouring your hair when it’s badly broken and damaged Gemma when I first met her recommended I come back to the salon after 6 months of not doing anything to my hair to give it a break and then that way we could start again to help let my hair grow and then I could begin to colour it again when it has become more healthy. This worked a treat and my hair has grown so much and is always in good condition! She’s in my opinion the BEST colourist and honest too. I also get my hair cut by Holly who always gives me the best fresh trim and knows exactly what I want when I go in there! She’s so easy to talk to and does the best blow dry which believe me is hard to find these days! Both girls are top notch I highly recommend :-)
Y. L.Holli has been cutting my hair for 13 years and I've been with Smith's since she moved there 9 years ago. They are generally chilled, the quality of the hairdressing is absolutely and consistently great, so you are likely to get the look you're going for. Reservations and changes are always easy and they work to accommodate you, the chap at reception is a doll like that! It's not the kind of place where they'll suck up to you or pretend they are a bar, or so trendy you won't walk in, and there is always a massage with your hair wash and a drink if I want one and that suits me just fine.
L. V. R.The only place I trust when it comes to my hair. It was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad she told me about Smiths. Gemma and Hollie are hair magicians. They really listen and they provide great and honest feedback. I love the fact that they will tell you if they don't think something would work or look good on you. The results are always spot on. I am extremely fussy when it comes to my hair but I completely trust them. Also everybody working there is very professional and very friendly. I cannot recommend that place enough.
B. A.This is a little hidden gem! It looks like they only do hair, (which is also an amazing salon, I wouldn't go anywhere else to be honest, Grace and Holly are brilliant), but they have beauty treatment rooms downstairs. I now go here for my nails, waxing, eyelash/eyebrow tinting and facials regularly (Carol is great!). I Can't recommend both the salon and treatments enough, all the staff are really friendly and make a mean coffee.

most beautiful balayage. Knows exactly what I want and matches everything perfectly to my skin tone etc. She’s also really committed to maintaining the health of my hair and gives great advice.

Not only do they achieve the looks I am asking for but they also ensure it’s done in the healthiest way possible limiting any damage to my hair. I visit them every time I am in town :)

I went to Smith's @ Battersea in September and had Ashley cut my hair. He was PERFECT. Ashley gave me the best Pixie hair cut ever. Now, I'm trying to have my hair cut again and it seems ashley is no longer at Smith's :(... I understand the salon would not want to lose customers but I wish you could help me find him. where is Ashley? :(
