Martina is a balayage/hair styling genius! She did a fantastic job - I have had balayage many times before and this was the best by far. She also fixed a bad hair cut and made my frizzy hair look so sleek. She also provides great entertainment in the form of excellent jokes/conversation - which is very important as balayage takes 3 hours!!

I was asked to have a patch test before getting my extensive lockdown roots done, so popped in as agreed a few days before my appointment. While there, Chanel was happy to chat about what I was hoping for on the day. My appointment started on time, in the clean and spacious salon and I enjoyed the pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The colour blend and olaplex treatment left my curly hair in great condition and Chanel expertly created a nice, layered shape without significantly reducing the length (not always easy with curls in my experience!). After gently diffusing, I was done, with plenty of time for the school run! Very reasonable price for cut, colour and olaplex, I will be returning to Stage Door and Chanel in a couple of months.

Visited for the first time after being recommended by a friend. The salon was clean and stylish. I was reassured about their health and safety as I was made to wash my hands as soon as I entered, given hand sanitizer and had to wear a face mask. My stylist Chanel was both friendly and professional, she did a great job of cutting and blow drying my hair. Would highly recommend the Opalex hair treatment too. My hair felt so silky and bouncy after months of unruly growth and damage during lockdown. I was so pleased with the results and I got so many compliments on my hair!

My feelings about hair care, it’s worth it’s weight in gold buy only if you’re lucky enough to find THE PERSON. I’ve been so lucky to have found Martina. She has such a positive energy and spirit that shows in her work. She loves what she does and it shows in every color, cut and style. She listens to what I want and sometimes will make suggestions which turn out to be exactly what I wanted. I get compliments on my hair pretty often and my reply is “thank you but it’s my hair stylist with the talent”. Today was my first visit to Stage Door on Horseferry Road. I was a little anxious not knowing anything about my stylist, but I need not have worried. I had a Keratin Treatment & cut with Gona, who is very professional. She offered me sound advice, she made me feel very relaxed and she listened to my hair concerns!! The treatment was very effective - I know I have to persevere with exceptionally straight hair for the next 3 days before I can wash it, but hopefully the 'frizz' will have gone...the whole experience was welcoming, very relaxing, with a friendly atmosphere. I have booked with Gona again for some highlights in 10 days time, which I am looking forward to. The Web prices, I feel, offer good value.

She used very good products that protected and strengthened my hair. She also recommended how to improve hair health at home. Gona is absolutely amazing! She's the best colourist I came a cross in central London. She recommended me the colour/highlight and cut according to my skin tones and face shape, Which many hairdressers don't bother! I've had so many compliments ever since I had it done with her, so I decided to leave a review. I must say was a battle to book with her. I called on a Tuesday the girl who answered she tried to book and recommend me other stylists, she kept saying Gona is busy then she doesn't work that day and so on, Instead of recommending different times and days. I had a very nice hairdresser she did a good job, I was only in for a trim so it's hard to say how good they are, however the shampoo smelt really nice, she also put oil in as I have quite dry hair. This was my nearest hairdresser whilst I worked on a contract in the area. I originally went in for advice but went after work on an off chance for a cut. The stylist immediately checked her diary and fitted me in and did a fabulous new cut and gave excellent recommendation on highlights. Completed with tonging/blow drying my wavy hair curly which looked great. I also got a discount due to working locally. For the area they could easily charge far more but prices are competitive probably because local residents and civil servants go there too. What topped off a mark of a good salon was a male colleague of mine who preferred to go there and pay extra as they cut his hair well compared to the local barbers!

So this isn't the prettiest, or most upscale place you could go. That being said it's a well worn comfortable environment, and they are happy to bring you a drink and a snack and a pile of magazines. Mostly, I'm giving it five stars because I have preexisting damaged processed blonde hair, and naturally medium brown hair. I had a lot of growth and additionally I needed my hair to be matched to the blonde hair extensions I purchased. My hair color match was seamless, in fact it's the best I've had and I've been doing this a few years now. It's also very reasonably priced, which is great for those of us who like our all over color to be freshly maintained.
