Great experience overall. Online booking is very convenient and fast. Was visiting this place for the first time since moving to the area. Lovely location and interior. Came to strong arm on the off chance after recently moving to the area, not only did Mike cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and give great advice on looking after my hair, he also gave me a complimentary beard trim and some tips on places to go in the area! Now I won’t be going anywhere else & looking forward to my next visit!

Long story short: best barbers I've ever been to. Why? This is not one of them barbers where you dread going to cause it's a toxic macho environment where everyone seems to wanna give you a skin fade, or do whatever cut they feel comfortable with, even though it wasn't the one you asked for. rush your, or take ages to cut your hair cause they're too busy chatting sh*t with their colleagues. Strong arm steady guys are friendly, welcoming, good at bants and awesome cuts and most importantly professional. it's difficult to find good service like this. I've had a cut from 4 different guys on different occasions and they are all bloody brilliant. So when I book my appointments i dont even care who it is, i go with who's available. They always do what you ask them and they get it done perfectly. It's not easy standing all day trying to do different haircuts whilst talking to your customers so I appreciate all the effort. Another one would be the music, they always play amazing tracks "banned in DC"?!so I don't mind chilling whilst waiting to get served. It also has a very tranquil atmosphere to it with all the plants and decor. Well done SAS Deptford, you've outdone yourselves.

One of those worth the train fare places; can imagine there are people who travel from all over London for a trim at Strong Arm Steady. I certainly will if I ever leave the area! Relaxing and welcoming in a great location. More to the point, the haircuts are right on the money. Special mention for their beard work - it's really unusual to find a barber happy to offer an opinion on beards with the skill to back it up. Less is more. In a good way.

Love this place. Good vibes, super professional and super welcoming. I've been in a couple of times and had cuts with Oscar. I have loved the results. Also love the ethos of the place - supporting local artists & radio by broadcasting onsite and giving discounts to people who lost their jobs during the pandemic. Mike has been cutting my hair for years. He was the most popular barber in his previous job and it’s no surprise such demand has led to him setting up on his own. Never thought I’d travel to get my hair cut but I’ve got a nightmare lid and Mike is a scissor wizard! The shop itself is super impressive and feels like a place to go and hang out, not just a place to go and get a cut. Such good surrounding coffee shops as well - make a little trip of it, can’t recommend Mike and his team enough!
