Finally a proper barber getting the thing done both with top quality and style! This fifth generation Italian family run barber has a very cosy saloon in old school style but with up to date barbers, on three floors! Strangely they only accept cash, but that seems to be a branch thing for all barbers and will for sure change at some point. Top score!

Having recently moved to Wimbledon, and with shaggy curly hair to suit I was in desperate need of a good quality barber. I came across Pavement Barbershop and was immediately impressed with the team's professional demeanor and courteousness. I got a skin-fade which was cut by Alex. He took a lot of care while cutting and you could see there was a serious attention to detail to make sure that my cut looked as sleek as possible. On top of this, after learning about a date I had later on, slapped on some very nice aftershave (which was complimented on later ;) ). Safe to say, this will be my barber moving forward. Very impressed and would highly recommend.

I have been going to the Pavement ever since it opened, and have watched it grow in popularity, which can be attributed, for a large part, to reputation and word of mouth. Alex and his team are always courteous and professional offering styling advice and help when required. For many years, I went to another Wimbledon barber which set out to be 'cool and trendy' but had a high turnover of stylists. Compared to that, the PB is an oasis of calm and continuity. The Pavement Barbershop is by far the best barbers in London that I have ever been to. I've now been going for years and I'm always greeted by the wonderful Aleksandar Marinov. You will always recieve a warm greeting at this barber and anyone that goes returns over and over and over. I've now moved 5 miles away and I still drive back for haircuts... it's worth it! Yes it's on the pavement, but it rises 3x floors with an excellent barber on each. And thanks Aleksandr! You always deliver, giving the *best* haircuts. It's a pleasure to come in and see you. Never have I had to be polite in saying you do a good job because every time, you really do!! Fantastic job my friend. Often I ask to have it a certain way, style etc. The usual routine of showing you pictures on my phone. However you do much more of a better job than I could describe. (I just have to be careful to say not too short ha). Other than that, you get exactly the look, style and way I want it. Plus what looks good for the person. You have decades of experience as you say, and it clearly shows. Family and friends won't lie, and can be brutally honest (if well, you know...). Instead of hearing what I'd expect to hear, when I see them (and it's each time, as if it's some unique discovery) they say, "that's really good actually, the best haircut you've had. Who are you seeing again?" I've had many haircuts in my life, and with so many barbershops opening up, the 'Pavement' is a truly amazing find, that's something quite special. It's a 5th generation Italian gentleman's barbershop, with the skills, 'old school' looks and design, friendliness and feel to accompany it. They are very professional and immediately I feel at home to see you all. I trust, always, to receive a great trim. I'd imagine too, if Harry Potter was walking around Diagon Alley, he'd probably get his hair cut it here. Not just for it's character, but for it's sort of magical hidden quality, you wouldn't expect anywhere else.

I started working down the road a few weeks ago and this place is one of the best things about the location. All of the guys are very good at what they do, as well as being friendly and creating a fun atmosphere - which was key for a 3 year old kid who was having his hair cut today and was quickly put at ease and laughing along with the barber. He was so good with kids that the mother than asked the barber to cut her daughter's hair and he was happy to oblige - such great staff!

I was disappointed their prices had gone up when I returned for a haircut after having a great experience first time round. However the haircut I received, from the middle aged suited gentleman is one of the best I've ever had and on reflection is well worth the £30 paid. I'd pay it again. He is an artist. Pretty much perfect - I needed a haircut after going all the way through lockdown without one and a young gentleman named Alex gave me an exceptional trim. Alex really understands hair and is perhaps the best barber I've met - not something you can say every day. Worked on my hair for around 40 minutes and there's a great authentic atmosphere in the barbershop itself. Would highly recommend going here if you have longer hair as I feel this is where they really excel - I know other barbers would have a tougher time with this for sure. And ask for Alex although I'm sure the other gents do a fantastic job too.

I’ve been going to TPB for almost 2 years now and Alex is usually cutting my hair. He is the most friendliest guy you’ve ever met. You can chat to him about everything or not chat at all when you just want to relax while having your haircut. The place itself is always clean and tidy. Sometimes there is a queue but you can sit outside and wait. It’s a quirky little barber salon but they always have time for you even when they are busy. Very reasonably priced and I always been happy with the haircut + a free advice and suggestions how to care for your hair and/or style it.

I had a haircut here the second day after the government restrictions ended (13 April 2021). I appreciate that they were particularly busy but they didn’t clean between haircuts (see photos) and I felt it wasn’t particularly Covid secure with the barber not wearing his mask over his nose. The haircut itself felt rushed and wasn’t the best in my opinion. Again, this might have been because they were very busy and the barber said he has been cutting non-stop for several hours. Personally I’m not sure I would come back as there are other options in the area.

Hands down the best barber shop in Wimbledon. The staff is always super friendly and very professional. I went here and had a very skilled barber do a very good cut very quickly. I was extremely impressed with the quality. He also gave very good tips on how to style with product and adapted his advice given the types of products I prefer to use. A couple things to note: they have a strangely Victorian style of customer service - every sentence seems to end in "very good sir" or equivalent - but the service is excellent and attentive, I just found it a bit ott but maybe others like that, it does have a certain charm. Also they only take cash, which wasn't clear beforehand, so remember to go to the cash machine. Overall excellent, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Tony took my cut within minutes of waiting and actually seemed to come back from going out to cut down the wait. Care and attention to detail was taken at every point to get the desired cut. Conversation was natural and genuine. Slightly more expensive than others but double the quality so very much worth it. Tony happily talked through the cut, listened to my requests and was great to see a manager and owner enjoy working with clients still. Can see myself coming back again and again. I was very impressed after my first visit. The atmosphere is relaxed and I felt like Nigel really took time to listen to what I wanted and gave me a really good haircut and beard trim. Particularly, he was able to tidy/shape my beard without removing much of the length, which after some bad experiences elsewhere, where months of growth were undone in a few minutes, was a great relief. For a few extra pounds on my normal place I felt it was definitely worth it and will be going back.

Had a haircut here from Aleksander, fantastic barber! Amazing customer service, he checked the skin fade before he did it, didn't rush my haircut at all, spent time perfecting it. Very upmarket vibe, all barbers including another I met called Waseem are dressed in formal uniform, waistcoats and dress shirts (feels very John Wick!) All the barbers are kind and well mannered, happy to correct or perfect the haircut if asked. At £22 for a skin fade it wasn't the cheapest, but I am MORE than happy to pay for this level of service and haircuts of this excellent quality. Additionally there is no queue if you time your visit right (unlike my previous place that had an hour and half waiting time with no appointment system, my old place was cheaper but overall a lower quality and inferior haircuts to Pavement Barbers) Will definitely be coming back.

There’s two types of barbers. One that cuts hair and the other that understands hair. Pavement Barbers understand hair. I’ve been everywhere to find a barber that knows how to cut my hair. (Thick! Curly! And A lot of it!). I’ve had a few barbers in my past (before Pavement) who could cut my hair but then after a while, they would be a sub par job. Nigel was the first barber here who cut my hair. He done an amazing job! Sadly he moved to Canada. I had two other barbers from there, unfortunately I don’t recall their names did an amazing job as well. Recently for the past year or so. I’ve been getting my haircut from Alex. His work is amazing! I can not fault it if I even wanted to. His personality is very welcoming, engages with his customers to make them feel at home. The aesthetic of the shop is one of a kind as well. It’s very warming. I love the steampunk-classic thing it has on. For pricing, I think it’s reasonable. For me, £30 ish for haircut and beard trim and style. You get what you pay for. I’ve been to jacks down the road from them and I’ve had two haircuts from them and paid £56 each with beard trim. In which one time, I asked for a beard trim and they just shaved it all off. Don’t just take my word for it, go visit them and see what you get from them.
