My partner has been having his hair cut here for years and he has always been treated in the most professional way. He will not let anyone else touch his hair and I am always thrilled with the quality of the cut. I cannot recommend this barber enough. If you're not happy with your partner's cut, get them to pay these guys a visit. You won't regret it.

Pukka barbers! best in the manor! especially if you love a bit of Only fools & Horses! All of the barbers are top notch but personally Claire cuts my hair and every time its flawless she really is a good stylist with great attention to detail. (Give her a pay rise) ;)

Pleasantly Surprised probably is the cheesy way to rate this barbers (and I doubt I am the first) - however that is exactly how I felt. I often go to Barbers around central London that charge £35-45 a wash and cut as I am worried that paying less would result in a bad job. Fair to say with Pleasant Barbers that isn't the case. I paid £17 for a cut and wash and the style looks fresh and exactly what I wanted. To top it all off, service was quick (perfect for a work lunch break) AND friendly. WILL be returning.

Amazing barbershop, have been going there regularly for over a year and never had a bad haircut. Been to dozens of barbers and they very rarely give you the cut you ask for, different story here. Prices are very reasonable too. 10/10 couldn't recommend enough.

Been going to this barbers for a few years now. Always happy with my haircuts and beard trims from any member of staff. They're not hit-and-miss like a lot of barbers I've been to in the past. Excellent conversation too :) And if you're a fan of Only Fools And Horses, you'll love the in-house entertainment!! I also take my two young sons for their haircuts here. Can't recommend Gav, Theo and Clare enough.

I've been visiting this barbershop for many years now. They are always friendly - greeting their clients as they walk through the door. I don't even need to say what I want done, they just remember what I want from my haircut and I trust them entirely with a cut-throat razor. All their clients get their 5 star treatment - whether they are there for the first time or have been returning for years, whether they are hipsters with elaborate beards or more balding (like me), whether they are young or more mature. I'm happy that I found these barbers - thanks to you all.

Was in town and passing this shop and would not normally just drop into a place I have not been before as I stay quite loyal to my local barbers and have notoriously difficult hair to cut (thick and curly hair which grows in many different directions!) but took the off chance because desperately needed a tidy up and was not dissapointed! The gentleman who cut my hair took his time to get it right and was surprised how good my hair looked! Great atmosphere in the shop, even better cuts. Glad I found this little gem.

Indeed a pleasant hair cut as it should be - I'm new to the area and last month had a terrible experience with so called "Tradionaĺ Turkish barbers" on Old street - funnily, one of the 2 guys here, the one who actually cut my hair was also half Turkish but served a completely pleasant experience. Totally recommend - you won't be disappointed.

Great value and excellent service from a team of genuine and hard-working folks. I've been going to the Pleasant Barbers for years now. You only have to pop in a few times to recognise the familiar faces: a loyal clientele built up over decades of consistently good barbering. The occasional wait in line, a consequence of their popularity, is always tempered by some good chit chat and the sort of camaraderie that is sadly lacking in so many new-fangled 'hair salons'. The Pleasant Barbers is a family business, run for many decades, with a rich history and a welcoming and friendly vibe. The boys (and lady) work tirelessly through the day, often starting early, or running late to accommodate their regulars. It's everything your local barber should be. Long live the traditional British barber!

Cracking haircut! Don’t put it lightly that it’s the best I have had. I have a unusual crown at front and stubborn white hairs that can stick out. Took care of it with ease, and fade is impressive too. Will be visiting again when I’m next in London.

For a top notch hair cut and some great consultancy on cars, you can't beat Gav at The Pleasant Barbers! He's mostly in to Japanese cars like Imprezas, not too keen on Fiesta RS Turbos. Far better than the unqualified careless people you get in the branded barber shops. Go here for a great cut and amusing banter!

Not used to leaving reviews, but this place deserves five stars. It's quite annoying to have to pay 40 to 50£ for a haircut in some salons, I got one for 13£ there and quite frankly one of the best ones in my life. No fuss, just a nice place with great service, definitely recommend!

My favourite barbers in London. Cheap (~£15), good quality and the barbers take plenty of time to make sure your cut is right. They don't just rush you out if others are waiting. There's always plenty of regulars queuing for a cut which is a good sign. Get over to these guys if you can if you work in Farringdon.

A good solid barber open early, passed the test of time and enough staff for a queue not to be a problem. In the other reviews I see a spurious one from 'John Torneido', briefly; there are no McDonalds in Clerkenwell, there is no such area as 'Exmouth' in EC1 and their shop isn't on the market. Why having had your neck cut you'd ask for more seems highly unlikely. All pretty wild claims and a large pinch of salt required or if you don't like salt best simply ignored.
