Excellent facilities, fantastic technicians. I attended for a pre-wedding wax, facial and haircut. Never waxed previously… reception was considerate and the service impeccable. Ariana was extremely friendly and superbly skilled… absolutely nothing to worry about if you like a friendly chat before realising you’ve had a treatment! Indeed, the facial was hugely enjoyable. The haircut with Chris was fantastic. He’s a true professional that knew more about my hair than I did. I walked away feeling like a million dollars.

I have been going to the Refinery in Mayfair for a couple of years and have always been highly satisfied with my experience. The salon is neat, the atmosphere pleasant and quiet – they play lounge music in the background as opposed to the radio on loud – and it never felt crowded, even on busy days. The customer service is impeccable, the staff polite and helpful, and they offer complementary drinks and hot towels. I always book with Chris Foster, who is a talented and acclaimed hairstylist. In addition to being a very nice guy, he offers a no-rush service, is happy to accommodate customers preferences, and was always able to deliver the exact hairstyle I requested.

By far the greatest barbershop I have been to. Not only in London but my favourite in the world! Make sure you ask for Parsa when you go there! He takes his time which each client, analyses their hair texture as well as facial structure. He listens to your comments and makes sure you leave fully satisfied! And I tell you if you need a classic wet shave this is where to go! Parsa won the best wet shave award multiple times and the results speak for itself! Super happy with the service, there’s nothing that he won’t provide for you! Haircuts, trim, shave, threading, hair treatments... Funny enough we actually have the same name too so it seems like it all worked out well lol

My hairdresser's name was Tatiana and she was incredible. Granted, I've only been to upmarket hair salons like this about three times in the past few years, but I'm pretty sure the quality of service here is significantly higher than at most other places. After profusely apologizing for making me wait until 5:45 for my 5:45 appointment (rather than taking me in when I arrived, at 5:30), Tatiana asked me a few questions about my hair, asking me to pull my hand through my hair, how I got ready in the morning, and how I like my hair done (I like it simple), and she cut my hair accordingly. She was fabulous and, from what the other two I went with told me, all the hairdressers seem to be great. I would definitely recommend The Refinery to everyone.

Fantastic haircuts with Phil - when I step outside this place after a session with him, women throw themselves at me. Highly recommend! Parsa is a beard trimming maestro who has held the highly coveted “UK shave master belt” for multiple years. The only place to go for cuts/shaves. Meant to also give a top scrawl, sack and back wax which I will try when the weather heats up.

He will always go above and beyond for every single one of his clients (new or old). He brings that talent to the chair every time. Came across The Refinery after becoming fed up with my previous barber and took the plunge in booking in with Anthony after reading the bio's on their website. Arrived for the appointment with the usual apprehension praying this new experience was not going to end up something akin to 'the Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and pleased to say it surpassed my expectations. Anthony's abilities with both scissors and clippers are wizard like with every cut on point every time. His attention to detail is exceptional, considering not only my needs but details such as head shape and hair growth as part of the service is a refreshing change from being in and out of the chair within minute, and he's a top bloke to boot. Never a rushed experience and always come away from the place feeling like a million dollars, cannot recommend enough.

Asian hair is not the easiest to cut if your hairdresser is not used to it. This had led to many trials and errors since moving to London. Chris however, got it right first time. This leading innovative barber has been stying my hair since I moved to London aged 18. I was blown away by his cutting edge techniques and always able to do something different and individual to suit my hair and style. Many years laters, education finished, jobs changed and this mean't I was only free during certain days (the days which Chris was not available). By chance Anthony was available on just one of those days. After over 10 years of only ever using Chris I was not looking forward to trying someone else to cut my hair. Just like Chris, Anthony got it right from the first cut. He's got impeccable attention to detail, the eye for knowing what's the right for your face shape and can be brutally honest which his opinions which refreshing. He doesn't bulls**t and offers great advice and solutions (although he may not necessary agree with my choice of hair products...) These two guys have been the only two hairdressers I've have the pleasure of returning to in over 20 years of being in London. They create the sharpest cuts with a dash of humour thrown in for free. If this is the talent The Refinery attracts then you certainly cannot go wrong. They're probably the closest you can get to close mates without the need to add them onto your Christmas card list, yet they'll to listen to all your strife of living in the big city that's London and make it just a bit more bearable again. Parsa Rad is the main man. I’ve chopped and changed barbers my whole life because I could never find anyone that understood what I wanted or who could cut my hair consistently. When I first visited the refinery I was due to have another barber. My original barber was off sick so Parsa came in early to cover him He was super profesional and done a great job. I highly recommend him and The Refinery, so much so I’ve never had another barber cut my hair since.

Very friendly and professional staff. We thought this place in Mayfair was going to be really pretentious but we felt at ease the moment we walked in. We booked facials and we were asked about our skin condition and what we’d like to a good degree of detail. Lots of products were used but feel more focus could be given to the actual face massage section. Was it the best facial I’ve had? No. I’ve had better at Champney’s but we were offered food and drinks upon arrival and were given a very generous sample of the eye serum. They are well worthy of a 4-star rating.

I first found "The Refinery" a few months ago and thank God I did. I used to always get very inconsistent hair cuts. For this reason I would always try to put off getting hair cuts, but when I meet Parsa everything changed. Based off of the style of hair cut I wanted Parsa knew exactly how much hair to cut and how to style it so it did not have that awkward look the first few days. He really takes cutting hair seriously and to my surprise looks at it in a very analytical way. From the way your head is shaped, the thickness of your hair and the shape that your hair growth. It's my birthday and since I've been coming to the Refinery for over 12 years I make it the ritual to start every birthday by coming here if in the UK (shoe cleaning in Burlington Arcade next and then lunch with close friend). Shen, who has been cutting my hair for nearly 20 years is a magician, I arrive, bleary eyed, hair askance and feeling every one of my XX years, ridiculously sorry for myself. One hour later I am 17 years younger (and no surgery) beaming from ear to ear and laughing at his appalling jokes. A real spring in my step. Excellent men's grooming shop. Parsa is an artist, both for haircuts and beard trims. Nobody handles a blade like him, and watch what happens if you give him a string. Don't be afraid to ask for a "Parsa special" he will know what it means. He is also an excellent cook, and will gladly deliver you a homemade Ghorme Sabzi within Zone1/2. A+ highly recommended
