I've used Windle for years, always get the most professional and kind service. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I've been cut by many people at Windle and each and everyone has given me exactly what I wanted. I'd highly recommend Lisa, Lisa did an amazing job recently when I got cut!! She's so lovely too!

I’ve been coming to Windle London since 2015! I love the atmosphere here - it has a cool vibe, but also, very friendly, down earth and welcoming. The cross section of clients - from young hip things to older gentleman with everything in between will attest to the fact that they make everyone feel special. The team are incredibly professional & accomplished - from the trainees that wash your hair to the senior stylists. Over the years, I’ve had my hair cut and coloured by 3 different colourists & 3 stylists and always been delighted with the results. I also really love their hairstyling products - their texture spray is a work of wonder! It transforms my fine hair into one of magnificent volume in about 30 seconds!!!

I went in for a wash and blow dry and was seen by Kerry (a trainee stylist). I think I fell asleep during the head massage and would go back just for that! The wash and blow dry was perfect, everybody was friendly and it was an an all-round great experience. They've got me as a customer for life.

From the lovely reception by the guy with the most gorgeous eyes right through to the most relaxing hair wash. What can I say about Mia who cuts my hair? She is professional yet friendly, reassuring and makes you feel so relaxed. She is honest and constructive as to what would suit your hair type. I am SO happy with my hair cut. I can shake it and it will fall back exactly into style. She is very talented. Book a visit to Windle - you won't be disappointed! Also check out their hair products. The nourishing shampoo and conditioner have really sorted out my dry ends as has the invisible day and night cream which is truly amazing.

I adore Sergio and he has been styling my hair for over 13 years! [...possibly even longer we can't remember the exact year I started coming to Windle]. During lockdown, I had to go to another stylist as I was away from London. My hair suddenly became very high maintenance: needing a wash and blow dry daily plus products to get it to behave. I found this peculiar since with Sergio's cuts I literally do not do anything and my hair always looks so silky, naturally healthy and never a hair out of place: whether waking out of bed or jumping out of the shower. I can now affirm that this is a testament to Sergio's talents. He's absolutely brilliant! The vibe at the salon itself is always pleasant. It's not too formal but always friendly and professional. It's never too crowded but always welcoming with a steady clientele. From what I can see whenever I visit, people seem to be loyal and happy with their stylists and the salon. I highly recommend Windle London and especially Sergio.

I have been looking for a hair stylist to cut my hair the way I wanted without ever being fully satisfied with the result. I assumed It was because I couldn't explain myself accurately. For the first time ever, I have walked out of a salon with the biggest smile on my face and a true feeling of having been listened to and understood. I've started taking care of my curly hair and they've started to make their way back. I was in dire need of a good curly hair cut and for someone to point me into the right direction of how to take care of the new curls. Valentina was an angel. She asked me about my hair and what I was expecting and explained what she could do for me. I AM EXTEREMELY HAPPY with my hair cut! It's exactly what I needed! She cut my hair wet, styled it, defused it, then made adjustments after it was dried! My hair looks AMAZING! my curls are back and they look soooo healthy and refreshed. Very unlucky haircut. The stylist was very nice and put a lot of efforts in his work but the result the day after was very disappointing. My hair became super curly thanks to his haircut, but the cut was possibly not ideal for curly hair. I also had a colourist advice and didn't find it particularly enlightening in how to solve my current problem. If Windle defines itself 'best in town" they should do better.

I had my hair done with Lucy yesterday, and I have to say, eventhough it was on the more expensive side, I was beyoooond happy with it!! I have naturally curly hair, and usually can't get the frizz out of it, and neither can most hair stylists! Since I had an event to go to last night I wanted to have a professional straighten my hair for me and I tried Windle London for the first time. I asked for sleek straight hair and BOY did I get that!! It was beauuuutifully straight and sleek and shiny and it still looks flawless now that I'm writing this review, the morning after! Lucy was absolutely lovely and it was an overall beautiful experience for me, especially after a stressful day. The onnnly reason I didn't give it a full 5 starts is that I think eventhough it was a lovely experience and result, it was still slightly overpriced with £50 for a wash and blowdry/straightening. It could've been because of the great products used though! So overall I'd say if you've got the money to spend on your hair and an important event coming and you NEED great results, I would HIGHLY recommend you go here! And ask for Lucy if you want a magical result!! Thank you Lucy! My hair looked amazing all night!! Xx

I knew as soon as I was greeted by Denis both on the initial phone call and at reception that this was going to be a good experience. He was so polite, helpful and kind. Some salons have got rid of their receptions as part of a cost saving exercise but it does not make sense. The experience starts at the door and to be greeted by Denis just got everything off to a perfect start. My stylist is called Jean-Marc Vrezil. Clearly incredibly passionate about his work and has a wealth of experience, he is very talented and while clearly creative, would clearly never make a decision you would be uncomfortable with. He took time to get to know my hair, examined what would suit my face shape, discussed the options with me, basically he cared and cleverly I never felt awkward about having so much care and attention paid to me as it was all conducted in a subtle professional manner. Milena (sorry if I have misspelt her name) was just as caring about washing my hair. So the result was WONDERFUL. The best cut I have ever had and I feel like a new person. Don't hesitate to go to this salon, you'll walk out the door smiling. Thank you.

I had my hair cut by Valentina as I wanted someone who seemed like they would understand curly hair. Great chat, great haircut, Valentina was very clear with what I should do with product which was really helpful. Just wish I could make my hair look like Valentina made it look like 24/7! Especially Denis on the reception who makes you feel so welcome and warm when entering the salon, especially during these horrible times. Such an amazing experience from start to finish! I had a great haircut from Jean Marc yesterday and I must say that he has delivered the exact haircut that I was after and the results are absolutely fantastic.I have discovered this salon some years ago and was extremly impressed with the haircut from Jean Marc then but because I moved out of London, it has not always been possible to travel back to this lovely salon so I have tried to find a good hairdresser locally, however I was never 100% happy. Because I went for a major change in look (long hair to a bob),I knew that I had to go back to the Windle salon and Jean Marc has not disappointed. Also, a special mention for Milena, the lovely italian lady who washed my hair. She has been absolutely wonderful and her head massage is out of this world.Also Denis at the reception who made me feel welcome upon my arrival.I would definitely recommend Windle salon and I will be back..that's a promise! 😀

Valentina unraveled my slightly rambled explanation of what I liked and disliked and made me feel confident in her understanding of what I had in mind. My favourite salon, it is pricy although not overly for London Central, but great cut and colour every time. Staff are lovely I always have a relaxing experience there and no funny looks just nice people. Pia does fantastic colour and is so calm and lovely to talk to as well. I have afro 4c textured hair and I was originally meant to get a cut and style from hairdresser Ravvi, but in the end it turned out I needed my hair permed for the style that I wanted. She was really helpful in taking time to understand my hair and gave me some great advice as to what I could do to achieve the style that I wanted. Unfortunately windle do not relax hair but Ravvi refered me to a hairdresser named Randolph Gray who has extensive knowledge and experience in relaxing/perming hair he did a really phenomenal job, I haven’t felt this confident with my hair in a long time. So thank you so much Ravvi!

💓 I’ve been getting my hair cut by Mia at Windle for 2-3 years and I absolutely love it. It’s always a versatile cut that grows out really effortlessly. I have wavy/curly hair and always struggled to style it naturally but Mia’s cutting makes it really easy and I do minimal styling at home. I normally take in a few pictures of a style I like and we discuss what will be realistic for my hair type. I always go for something different to the previous cut and so far have been super happy every time. 👏🏼 brilliant salon, the service from everyone at reception, hair washing, tea/coffee is also wonderful and friendly.

I have had my hair cut regularly by Mia for many years.Mia is lovely, very friendly and an excellent hairdresser.She listens to what you tell her and gently suggests how the look you are aiming for couls be achieved.I wouldnt go to anyone else although I am sure each of the Windles expert stylists would cut my hair well. Mia always cuts and styles my hair exactly as I like it and I have never left the salon feeling unhappy. I always use Windles hair products as they are so good for my hair. Aisha is my colourist and she achieves a wonderfully subtle effect which looks so natural. He truly understands his clients (and their hair) and his work always gets compliments! If you have ever found going to a hair stylist stressful - because you show a photo and then get something completely different - please do try Jean-Marc...I simply cannot recommend enough!

This is my third time at Windle & Moodie (2 haircuts and highlights). For both the haircuts I saw Linnea and my experience with her has been nothing but brilliant, from all perspectives. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, after feeling nervous about going for a short cut after having just removed horrible hair extensions and my own hair being really thin from bleach damage - I was a slightly anxious, but no need to be as on arrival I was met by very warm and friendly staff, offered refreshment and coat taken swiftly. The place is gorgeous inside and smells delicious but is also very relaxing not intimidating for a Covent Garden Salon. Valentina made me feel at ease straight away, even although this was a first time meeting her. She understood the brief, gave me confidence and is just an easy person to be around. A few weeks after Tara gave me possibly the best haircut I've ever had, I returned for my first ever experience of colouring my hair. Pia did an amazing job - she listened to what I wanted, what I really didn't want, and gave me advice on what would work best. She took time to really work out the tones which would suit me, and made sure that it would grow out looking as natural as possible (def a priority for me). I was nervous, but she was reassuring and the result surpassed all my expectations - it even got a big thumbs up from my (very picky) mother, and my (usually oblivious) dad told me not to put my hair up because he wanted to see my new and improved look. Both Tara and Pia gave me advice about how to care for and style my hair at home, being really patient with me even though I basically don't have a clue what I'm doing and lack all skill. But their work has lasted so well that I keep getting good hair days and don't really need to put any effort in myself! The reception team also deserve a shout out for helping me work out what I needed to book and for being so friendly. I love this salon.

My stylist was Valentina, such a passionate hairdresser and talented too ( she knows her way around curly hair), she took the time to listen to me and understand my needs (as a mom in need for a quick stylish hairdo that doesn’t need a lot of daily maintenance ) she cut my hair really short and I just love it now ! Had my hair cut at Windle for the first time last week and I absolutely LOVE it. Service was brilliant and Nicole who cut my hair did a fabulous job. I have always had my hair long and made the decision with Nicole’s guidance to go for a v short cut. Best. Decision. Ever. I feel like a whole new person! I also bought some W&M Thickening Cream and while I don’t usually go in for hair products I’m really glad I bought this as i only need to apply a small amount but it makes it so easy to style my hair. I decided to have a hair cut with Lisa as I read that the previous reviews of hers were all positive. And I am so happy about my choice. She greeted me with a warm and friendly manner, listened to all my thoughts carefully, and then presented me with her suggestions on styles. I could see her cutting every small piece of my hair with great attention to detail and patience. It turned out to be a really nice haircut, and my friends all spoke high of it. My hair was cut by Paul, I have short and wavy hair. He made sure every single hair was waiving on right place so I don't need to stylish it much in the morning because sometimes my hair has its own mind. I got shampoo made by the brand it leaves my hair so soft and light that I can not get enough of it. Next visit I will get some more, you can refill your bottle in store. All products they use and sell are made by the brand and the ingredients are natural/organic; they are a must try.

Lisa listened to what I wanted, examined my hair, asked questions and cared about my answers. We started with a quick hair consult before an amazing shampoo. So lovely. Everything smelled delicious. I was treated to an incredible head massage before Lisa got to the business of cutting. What a great cut. About two months ago, I actually put my hair in a pony tail and just chopped the back off when I couldn't get to a salon, being too busy with work. I was greeted by friendly staff who introduced me to my stylist, Charles. We discussed what sort of cut I was after and then I was handed over to Lou who told me which products she would be using then shampooed my hair and gave a really relaxing head massage, very chatty and friendly. It was a very refreshing experience but more importantly Charles cut my hair exactly as I wished, I booked my next appointment before I left the salon and their prices are very reasonable. I was really unhappy with the last haircut so I came to W & M after a quick google and seeing their great reviews. The lovely Linnea cut my hair into a blunt 'lob' and I loved it. I showed her photos of what I wanted and why I was unhappy with my previous haircut. She listened to everything I said and cut my hair perfectly. Linnea is also really down to earth and friendly. I spent a good part of the afternoon at Windle London because I asked them for a special coloring, BUT the result was even better than I wanted! Hong, experte/hair dresser has made every effort so that I can be taken care of even though my online appointment has not been encoded. As soon as I entered the living room, she asked me if I wanted tea/coffee/magazines. And the rest of the staff did not hesitate to ask me again throughout the service. The staff is incredibly nice, fun, welcoming and attentive to the customer. Hong treated me delicately as if I were a princess. My favorite part was without hesitation the shampoo/rinse. The room in which this part is played is prepared so that the customer feels at ease (relaxation music, candles, dim lights,...). I even got a head massage from the incredible fairy fingers of one of the hairdressers! I could have stayed there at night because I was so good. Perfect service and quality/price ratio : 10/10! Feel free to go for one second, no matter what cut you want or what question you have. In any case, they will do their utmost to satisfy you or inform you.

I decided to give it a try and came for the first time to this salon last week as I was looking for a hair change not just a simple trim and I had read some very good reviews about the stylists and place. I have been trying to find the place/person to call my hairdresser (for haircut ) to go to but so far have not found “the one” hairdresser. I found “the one colourist” (not Windle & Moodie in case you are wondering- NB: have never coloured my hair with them so cannot comment) I have to say staff members were very friendly, nevertheless I left the salon with mixed feelings. My hair stylist was a very pleasant person but unfortunately I am o little disappointed about the final result. This is because although my haircut looks nice, it differs quite a lot from the briefing I gave. I was looking for an edgy messy look with side bangs and chopped layers but left with a more conventional look. which does not really suit me. When I left the salon I said I was happy with the results but I guess this was because the hair stylist was a very nice person and I felt bad to complaint about it but maybe also because I was trying to convince myself it looked good. I guess I should have said something at the time but I did not. Now looking back a few days now from the haircut day, I can say that unfortunately I am not satisfied with the final result and will continue my quest to find “the hairstylist to go to”

I’ve been coming to Windle for a few years now and am always extremely happy with the result. I’m seeing Giuseppe for the cut and Ravi for colour. Both are amazing at what they do and they are a pleasure to spend time in the salon with. The one big criticism I have is that when I have only colour, i.e. not followed by a cut, trainees dry and style the hair who in my opinion are not very well trained. They take a long time and are often quite rough with the hair. For me it spoils the experience a little and actually makes me consider either leaving with wet heair or drying it off myself. Hence the reason for four stars and not five!

After doing an extreme amount of research in finding the best possible salons out there, I found 'Windle Salon' through an instagram model and travelled for 3 hours for it; had an appointment with Lauren and to my surprise had miraculously transformed the stubborn black and orange hairs into a beautiful ashy blondy silvery colour! Lovely salon with friendly staff and wonderful wash/massage, best I've had! Only let down was that I had gone in explicitly to have my long hair cut off into a blunt bob but my stylist wasn't keen, and although I explained that the very uninteresting blunt bob was more my style, she insisted on just trimming about an inch off the ends while saying that it was perhaps the styling of photo I had chosen that I liked more than the haircut it featured(?!) I felt a bit let down as I could have gone anywhere for a trim but I wanted to pay a premium with the hope that a professional would find a way to make the style I wanted work. In the end I went to another salon which did the cut I wanted with no qualms! Lovely salon but felt quite dissatisfied post-appointment.

What a wonderful salon with the most attentive staff. The atmosphere is so calming, especially when they take you to get your hair washed. There aren't any bright lights to make you squint, and reclining chairs which don't give you back pain or make the water dribble down your back. I always go to Paul for my hair to be cut, and since seeing him I honestly couldn't go anywhere else. He is the DREAM! Could not recommend this fabulous hair salon anymore!

I have crippling anxiety and going to the hairdressers is terrifying for me...finally plucked up the courage and made an appointment... Had my first visit to this salon and although the day started badly with a hairdresser who didn't listen to what I wanted and did me an atrocious cut...seeing me visibly upset the hairdresser immediately got someone else without a fuss (Sergio I think he was called) who listened and put me at ease. W&M is a great salon with stylish, quirky decor and friendly staff - attentive but not too 'fussy' - and is reasonably priced for the quality of the services offered. As someone who usually 'deal shops' for haircuts I paid only a little more than I usually would at W&M, and would never scrimp on that measly £10 again. The experience was enjoyable: the hair wash, part of a trip to the hairdressers I usually loathe is done in what can only be described as a 'relaxation room' and was very calming, the stylist was friendly, full of suggestions and happier than most to experiment (with my permission!) and the resulting do was exactly what I wanted. I will be back!

Takashi is an excellent colour expert. He is super lovely too. A master of technique. He take the time to understand your hair and give you a personalised service. You'll be in excellent hands when it comes to any colour service with him. Linnea usually cuts my hair but she's recently started to freelance so very hard to see her. I now go in for a colour and then book a separate appointment for a cut. The training staff are super friendly and can't do enough for you. If you have a colour service only, your hair will be washed and dried by a trainee. The lady whom works with Takashi is amazing. Super friendly and gives the best head massage. I prefer going in the morning during the week when it's less busy.

Lovely salon, though I was disappointed with the booking of my appointment as it definitely had an impact on the whole experience. My colourist was about 30 mins late which I was ok with as they were busy, but I then found out I was supposed to have had a consultation when I came in for my colour test and the reception hadn't told me. This meant on top of already running late I'd had no pre appointment consultation which meant he had even less time before my haircut appointment, so it all felt a bit rushed. Which was annoying as he was great it's just sad the consultation wasn't organised by reception. I have been going to Windle and Moodie now for a year. I thought it was about time I made review as the salon has been sooooo sooooo amazing to me in a variety of ways. I originally came to Windle and Moodie for a hair cut and at that time I was suffering from severe hair loss for several years and struggling to get to the bottom of it with my GP to no avail. When having my hair done by Paul Windle the salons owner we had a conversation about this and he advised me to get in touch with a trichologist that he knew. He then gave me a list of bloods that I should have taken to be tested to find out the cause of my hair loss. After being pushed around by my GP and told I was losing my hair most likely because 'I was a single mother here in the UK from American without any family' I finally got to the real answer. My ferritin levels were extremely low and the trichologist Paul Windle referred me to informed me that in order for my hair to be growing and not falling out my ferritin level should be at a minimum of 70-80 ng/mL. As you can imagine I was sooooo frickin ecstatic to finally find out the true cause. The trichologist then gave me some great tablets called Florisene that he has formulated and my hair went from clumps of hair coming out in the shower to about 10 hairs coming out in about 2 weeks time! On top of being saved from embarrassing and very upsetting hair loss and feeling like I had to hide myself away from the world I have had many, many wonderful experiences at Windle and Moodie. Paul Windle is a genius with the scissors and now I would never let anyone else touch my hair. All the staff are extremely nice and the atmosphere is buzzing with positive energy. I receive the best head massages and the shampoos and products are to die for and vegan too!!! Thats a big plus for me. I have been treated nothing short of a queen every time I am there and thats a lot now that my hair is growing in and I have to get my roots done pretty regularly. I would highly recommend Windle and Moodie to anyone looking for an outstanding salon with an edge and passion for what they do. I know I’m not going anywhere else!!! Thank you Windle and Moodie for giving me my life back!!! You all ROCK!!!

I have been going to Windle and Moodie for almost 4 years now but have unfortunately been driven to finding a new salon which is a shame. The reason for this is that although the hairdressers (for both cut and colour) are fantastic, they are completely let down by their inept and surly reception staff. Every time I needed to make or change an appointment it has turned into a lengthy back and forth to the extent where I am tired of wasting my time in this way. Emails are half read and no action taken. On one occasion despite the fact that I cancelled my appointment days earlier, this was not passed on to the hairdresser. In an attempt to resolve this, I sent an email complaining about the difficulty of making an appointment to the manager. His suggested response was that I book by phone as email isn't convenient for them and that I deal only with one particular receptionist. When I explained that this did not work for me, the response was that "going on the reviews you've chosen to post all over social media and the Internet about our customer service, it's probably best at this stage that you find another suitable salon where your needs will be better met".

After numerous stylists at numerous salons failed to grasp what I was trying to explain I wanted and ipso facto me not getting the style I wanted, it was a breath of fresh air to have Charles at Windle & Moodie go through my requirements with me. I concede that some of the previous blame may lie with me, but Charles really made the effort to understand what I wanted. He took my poor explanations on the style I was looking for, and talked me through them for 5-10 minutes before picking up his scissors to make sure we were both on the same page and I was completely happy with what we were doing. The cut itself was fantastic. Not only did it look great when it was done, it grew in extremely well and didn't loose its style and shape for a lot longer than I have experienced previously. Although W&M is a little more expensive than I would normally be used to - I think it was totally worth it for the service, quality, and because of the cut lasting so long it brought down the amount of times I had to visit. If I still lived in London this would be the only salon I would go to, and I couldn't recommend Charles enough.
