Came here yesterday for a men's perm, the guy that did it for me was great, talked me through how he would do it and what I wanted. Everyone was very friendly, perm came out nice I didn't want extreme curls just a wavy textured hair since my hair is very straight. Definitely would come here if you're looking for a perm!

Highly recommend this salon! I came in at 4pm on a Sunday evening hoping to get a much needed haircut and the team managed to fit me in. Ray sat me down and was so welcoming and friendly. He asked what I wanted to do with my hair. My hair is super frizzy and I’ve had a lot of hair thinning over the years which I feel super self conscious about. He advised me that layers would give some body to my hair and I wouldn’t have to cut off too much of the ends - which I was delighted about as I didn’t want to cut my hair too short. I proceeded to get my hair washed by a lovely lady who was really caring and made sure that the temperature of the water was just right. She even gave me an amazing head massage! I sat back down and Ray sectioned my hair and showed me how much he would take off. He cut off a bit and asked if I was okay with it. He added in some round layers to my hair which I really wanted and fixed up my failed attempt at curtain bangs. Ray took his time and made sure everything was perfect! He blow dried my hair and even added rollers for some extra volume. I absolutely love the end result. Thanks so much for your time and patience with me! I paid £40 for a wash, cut and blow dry - which is such an incredible price for all the effort and hard work Ray put in. It’s a shame I don’t live in Manchester but I’m tempted to come up every 3 months to get a trim! Thanks Ray and the team.

I had a great haircut done by Ian Lau. I've had a lot of difficulty getting my hair cut before due to having straight Asian hair. Ian listened to what I wanted and managed to get it exactly like the pictures I showed her. I'll definitely be going back to ChriSalon in the future

First time having a perm. I had Ray who was nice and cool even when I was a bit indecisive. Felt like I was having a massage when they were washing my hair, haha. Lasted about two and a half hours. Will defo go again 🙌🏽

Had an initial consultation to talk through what I wanted to do with my hair. I am from Chinese heritage and my hair is very dark but I had wanted to colour it to a lighter brown colour. Ray took my consultation and suggested that my hair could be lightened without the need for bleach which I was very happy about. When I came in for my appointment at 1pm, I was immediately seen to. The whole process was very timely even though the salon went through a busy period. I had my hair washed, cut, dried, coloured and styled all within 4 hours. Ray was professional but friendly and had good conversation. It has been the first time I've ever felt at ease and listened to (in terms of what I wanted to do with my hair) in a salon. I commend everyone who works at Chrisalon. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend and will go back again. Pricing was £40 for a haircut on long hair and £70 for the tint. To compare, I have done something similar but with bleaching my hair and it has cost £250+. Very happy with my results and my hair still feels very soft and not at all dry (it's been about two weeks now).

Best haircut I've had in years! Since moving to Manchester I've struggled to find a hair salon/stylist who can give me the specific haircut I wanted. Kenny did an amazing job! Highly recommend if you want a more asian style haircut and top salon experience.

Went there a couple of days ago and had the best time. Super understanding of my situation as I wasn't in Manchester and managed to book me in at a perfect time. My hair has never looked so good! So excited to go again and I highly recommend to everyone

This was my first visit to the salon, I will definitely be making it my go to hair salon. Kenny cut and coloured my hair, I’m so happy with the result. He took the time to go through the options with me. It’s honestly the best cut and colour I’ve ever had. I have thick, dark Indian hair, a lot of the previous places I have been to found it difficult to work with and to give me the result I wanted. Kenny got it spot on! Turned my frizzy, bleached coarse hair into smooth and shiny. I felt like a hair advert as I walked out of the salon. Both Chris and Kenny were incredibly professional as well. I’m looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend to anyone.

Ian Lau did a great job at executing what I asked for and styled my hair beautifully with natural looking curls. Great hair thinning and layering techniques without losing volume and length - my hair feels great when I run my fingers through it now! Director Level: £44 for a wash, cut and blow dry. Really great, professional hair salon with a nice calm atmosphere. Ray was the one who did my hair, something he did an excellent job at. Great service, great value for money and always great results. I have been going here for the past 3 years and I have always walked out feeling really happy with my cut. Ray is particularly great - he listens to exactly what I'm looking for and always gives me confidence he will deliver a really sharp cut and style. He really understands how to handle asian hair with ease. Booking is very easy and the atmosphere is calm but cool. Complete with a hairwash and head massage, i can't really fault this place.

Friendly staff, good shampoo & head massage, nice haircut by Ian. I paid £44 for wash, cut, dry and style my hair which is okay. The reason I gave 3 stars is that Ian explained to me that it’s £44 if I pay cash but it’ll be £46 if I want to use a credit card for surcharge... I paid by cash to save £2 but hmmm, “Credit and Debit card surcharges were banned in January 2018” though?

I recently moved into this area so I tried out this salon through a friend's recommendation. I have got frizzly hair so it's challenging for most hairstylists, but not for Chris. I left feeling good looking like a Brad Pitt. Chris also threw in some hair care tips for me so that I could continue to look like Brad (stop dreaming Toni). Thanks Chris! I shall be back.

I been coming to Chrisalon for over 5 years and the person that normally cuts & styles my hair is Ray. Ray 's attention to detail is 2nd to none and he always deliver. My hair texture always feel great with his precise cutting amd thinning technique, the back & sides look so clean with the fade. Ray is very skillful, knowledgeable and attentive to ensure you feel confident about your cut. Keep it up guys!

Chris cut my hair and was amazingly attentive. Always double-checked with me if I was happy with what he was doing each step of the way. I'm not a big talker and Chris accommodated that very well and I felt comfortable during the entire haircut (which usually isn't the case). I'm usually based in London and have had my hair cut in a few Asian salons and so far, Chrisalon has been the best. Will definitely visit again and will happily jump on a train from London in order to do so. :-) I paid around £46 (including a £2 card charge), for a wash, haircut and finish. Great place for a decent Asian haircut! They have various different skill levelled hairdresser at various prices, similar to profession HK salons. Rays always done a great job on my hair and always nice to chat too. My girlfriends always got nice things to say about how Ian cuts her hair! Really great place and is the place ill always go back too!

I booked with Ian whilst my usual stylist was not available. This is not my first time here and I just simply needed a trim to my bob. Ian was non-chatty and seemed to have a hangover from hell, just not professional at all. Worse still in this visit, hair sides were uneven and I only noticed 2 days later. The whole experience was really underwhelming, I will be weary to book again with any other stylist.

Very professional team and Ray was perfect. He promised and delivered! I couldn't ask for more!! He was perfectionist with his work. He assured me that I would get the colour I want , after having many terrible experiences with other hair salon before. We had a consultation of what risks and possiblities and what colour I would like to achieve. He made sure that I get what I want with less damage. Him and his special technique (talent) is to get my hair from multicolour blond to a grey without bleaching the hell out of my hair! Like some did! I can't thank him enough, and now I know I can always rely on him and I am with a safe hand! Thank you Ray and chrisalon team.

I've been going to Chris for years now:it's brilliant.They make young & trendy cuts, it's reasonably priced(I'm not saying cheap) and they won't make you wait weeks for an appointment! I love this place, I've never been disappointed.I recommend without reserve☺️☺️
