Quintessential modern Ancoats. This place is too cool for me but I won't have my hair chopped anywhere else. Prepare to pay premium prices for a cut but then that's offset by the personalities, skill, location and all round good vibes.

My new barber after I happened upon this place by accident, nothing but great experiences so far! Some other reviewers seem to think they aren’t COVID safe, but that hasn’t been my experience as they’re always wearing masks and cleaning the chairs. I’d argue if you’re that worried about COVID that you need to give 1-star reviews to a barber for not operating like a scientist’s clean room, you should consider cutting your own hair

Visited here a few weeks ago as my regular barber (Loll) had recently moved to the premises so wanted to give it a shot. Firstly, I know during Covid we're concerned with social distancing and safety for very good reasons. When i walked in the seating were all distanced apart and I was asked to only turn up when my appointment was ready to help ensure you weren't waiting. The gowns provided were disposable and the chair was bring cleaned when I walked in so put me at ease tbh. Loll is a fantastic barber and I've used her for years so if you're looking for a good haircut with a friendly service can't recommend her enough. She also does fantastic colours and it's in an easy to get to location! Can't recommend this place enough. As with most businesses now they're under strain due to Covid and I'm happy to see that they're taking it seriously and using extra time to make sure it's safe. So go support your local barber and get an amazing haircut from Loll!

Good haircut, and always consistent. Very friendly and chilled out atmosphere. Only slight improvement would be that the drinks could be offered more often during the service as I felt embarrassed to ask for more. This would help to justify the price of the haircut

My lad had his hair cut here & I had a quick beard tidy up. Great bunch of lads & a nice atmosphere. The booking system works really well & saves hanging around for ages for your turn. I have to travel a fair way to get here so I can't call it my local place (unfortunately)

Had a scissor haircut with these guys yesterday at lunch by JOE, best haircut i've had done in while! My hair was a mess, was long and hadn't been cut in about 8 months, they didn't take too much off like hairdressers usually do. Will be going back in the future.

The only place my 2 boys will go for a haircut. Best barbers around and top lads too. If I wasn’t bald I’d be going. Brilliantly furnished and great decor you can also play on fortnite or Fifa while you wait

Following Phil from his previous abode, i wasn't too worried stepping through the doors of JERSEY STREET SOCIAL CLUB, and having spent a mere 5 mins in the ancoats space, i realised these guys have cultivated a better living room than i ever could have. FIFA on a big screen, good selection of drinks to compliment your wait (if you turn up early to your appointment as i did) and cosy seating all make the wait an experience. Phil has always managed to transfer his visions onto your head and to say a change of scenery would improve his stylings could be seen as insulting, but in his new home Phil cultivates his brand of slick haircuts with a renewed vigour. With Phil you'll receive more than a haircut, you'll get some valuable time with a mate who wants nothing more than to give you his best. So your thinking of where to get a trim in NQ? Factoring price, location, number of art decor installations per square inch on the wall ? Don't bother! Book in with the lads at Jersey Street (my recommendation is Phil but the rest of the lads seem dead good too).
