Have been here before as a very welcoming salon with a great atmosphere. It is a walk in and sometimes you have to wait but I don't mind that because it's a great convenience for when you just wanna get your hair cut! Steve is the lovely owner of the business and I had my hair cut by Olivia who was a pleasure to talk to. Being around Christmas I expected it to be busy but didn't have to wait too long as the price was very reasonable, customer here for life! Thanks guys

Honestly THE best haircut I have ever had. I'll never return to overpriced salons, I only ever want to go here. The stylist listened to exactly what I wanted and followed my instruction to the letter. I first when here in July 2020 after I'd had a hair cut somewhere else in town, they fixed my hair and it looked absolutely amazing! I have been coming here for seven years. I have now moved to Bristol and come back to Manchester to get my haircut. Every time I come in here, I always get the best service. Steve and co are so lovely. They always listen carefully to what I would like when having a haircut. I do not trust anyone else to cut my hair! We chat away for ages which makes the whole process go quickly. I could talk to Steve for hours! There can be a queue sometimes but personally to me, that is a positive as I always know I will be getting the best haircut! Steve and Palace Barbers have always been my go to when in Manchester, sadly I don’t live close to the city any longer and don’t use their services as much. I was real disappointed to read a review complaining about waiting times, but you get what you wait for. If you want a poor cut quickly, there are a number of shoddy barbers around town that will serve you right away during busy periods. If you’d rather a quality cut then it’s worth waiting an extra 5 minutes I assure you. Used these guys many times over the years and the service has always been excellent, the experience enjoyable and the cut spot on every time. All the best 😊

The owner of Palace Barbers has supported my partner’s business in the same building so followed recommendations to visit and I wasn’t disappointed. Although ive only been twice i can safetly say i cant imagine going anywhere else now for my hair cutting. I love it, the whole experience. I had heard of their reputation being a good one and was made aware it was walks in only and the ques can be quite big "must be good" i thought and they have exceded that. The service is excellent, the barbers its self is delightful, good music, lots of Blondie memorabilia to look at, plus my hair has never been cut so well. Getting my hair cut in the past, I always felt like I left with the same thing no matter what I asked for. My hairdresser listened to what I wanted and totally understood the vibe I was going for. They were working flat out to make sure everyone that needed them were seen. Such a great atmosphere and people bonding in the queue. Prices are so reasonable (£18 for short back and sides). I used to hate going anywhere to get my hair done because stylists nearly always do their own thing instead of what I ask for, and never listen to me when I say I don't want product in my hair after it's been cut. That all changed when I started going to Palace Barbers around 18 months ago… Steve has never once tried to give me a "trendy" cut instead of what I've asked for, and never uses any product in my hair. I always leave with a style that I can easily reproduce at home, so I never have the problem of my hair not looking as good as it did when I left the salon. He's also super-friendly and easy to talk to… and this coming from someone who HATES small talk! I started going to Palace because I was tired of paying over the odds for a haircut due to not being a man (Palace charge you based on how long your hair is) and I've kept going to them regularly because thanks to them, I no longer hate getting my hair cut. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I had my mullet cut in there a couple of weeks ago! Staff are incredibly friendly and there's no judgement so if there's any "alternative haircuts" you'd like, I'd recommend going to them! The service was also very quick and my hair came out exactly how I wanted, which has always been a struggle for me with hairdressers cutting my hair and it never coming out how I would have liked. The shop is pretty small and is very popular so I'd advise going during quieter hours if possible, there was a small queue when I went but it went down quick. They're also LGBTQ+ friendly which is a huuuuuge plus! Will definitely go again and would recommend!

A hidden gem, exceptionally well priced and I have noticed a number of celebrities popping in over the years. Highly recommended. Awesome staff. Fantastic LGBTQ+ barbers. Steve is one of the few hairdressers that I have ever trusted with my hair. Always greets you with a big smile. He has cut my hair when it was bum length and he also did my charity hair cut for little princesses and restyled it afterwards. He salvaged my 'V' fringe when Vidal Sassoon had messed it up, and given me new edgy styles when I've wanted a new look without any judgement. Highly recommended!
