I started going to this place 4 Months ago and I must say the service there is great. Roger is a really great barber and knows what he is doing. Always a pleasant experience and never had a bad cut there (Specially my hair isnt the easiest to trim!!). I would recommend giving it ago with Roger and you wont regret it !

My favourite barbers in Manchester. I've been coming here for years now and their service is second to none. I have curly hair and they always style it really well! Roger and Jordan are brilliant, and always give me a brilliant trim. I can't recommend them enough!

Visited Portland Barbers for the first time today, would thoroughly recommend! Brilliant trim from Vincent, despite me not really knowing what I wanted. He understood and suggested how he could do it, and I left feeling very happy. £25 for a haircut, and as someone who's never spent that much at the barbers before I thought it was totally worth it. Will be booking again in a month!

Been going Portland Barbers for over 3 years. Every cut I've had has been so professionally done. Their skills are seriously top notch. People tend to turn their faces at the price, but what you get is worth it. You also have to take in to account that it's based in one of the busiest areas of Manchester. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to look sharp or just try something new.

A visit to see Adam at The Portland Barbers is always a treat. His ability to give me the perfect cut every time he me is unmatched, a barber you'll actually enjoy chatting to. Their new shop is nice and welcoming, and being in tee Hatch complex you can stop for a coffee or some food while you wait for your haircut. Worth booking in advance, they seem a lot busier than they used to be, but for good reason.

Adam does a good job. It's well worth the 20 quid. When I came in, I told him what I wanted (essentially a trim), but Adam pointed out a lot of things that I could do better. Took all of his recommendations - and pretty much left with a better haircut than what I used to get.

Visited the Portland Barbers after work one evening and was very impressed with the service. Firstly, it was really simple to book an appointment using their website. Secondly, once I arrived the barber provided excellent advice on my different options for the cut and thirdly, the final result was far better in quality than more expensive haircuts than I have had previously elsewhere. First time customer and glad I chose this one! The barbers here take the time to make sure the job is done extremely well. It's a very relaxing room away from the busy-ness of the city centre. They don't accept chip and pin card payments but they do have an app you can download to still pay if you only have card!

Wow, my fellow American men need to visit this place to see how a proper barbershop haircut is done. Careful attention to detail resulted in one of the highest quality cuts I’ve ever received. Ask for Vasilis, he cut my hair and he’s a master and an artist with an eye for perfection. Highly recommend.

Loll has been doing my hair for a good while now and there's nobody else I'd trust with it. Especially after fixing my undercut after I decided to do it myself and shaved it unevenly. The place on the whole has a great atmosphere which is a win!

Been going to Razor 34 more or less since it first opened. Mario is a great guy who makes you feel comfortable straight away, glad he's back with scissors in hand. Like to get my hair cut by a perfectionist and Mario is certainly that! I definitely recommend this place.

Mario is a superb barber and someone with who you can have a hell of a conversation. The other barbers are also very talented, as Mario is very specific about who he hires. While I’m out of the UK now, Portland will still be my go-to whenever I’m back in Manchester.

Since braving the shave a second time I have been coming to Loll to get my hair done, not only does she give me everything I never knew I wanted and more in a haircut, she has me leaving feeling miles more confident about short hair and styling it better. Was walking about in Manchester this morning after having a restless night in a not so great hotel so decided to treat myself to a pamper. And Portland Barbers caught my eye. Went on up the stairs and was welcomed in by Adam, who then sat me down in the chair. Instantly felt at ease, very professional yet at the same time relatable and friendly. Brilliant conversation and 100% made me look and more importantly feel great! Definitely will be back again probably for a colour and shave next time! Honestly anyone looking for a fantastic barber shop look no further!!

Mario is a sound guy with 25 years of experience which really shows. I went in in need of a serious cut and he knew straight away what to do with it. He paid lots of attention to detail and finish, and it came out looking really sharp. Prices are fair and affordable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I followed Loll to Portland Barbers from her previous shop, as - after many disappointing cheaper cuts - I had found someone who can manage to make my thining hair look half decent! Maybe not the cheapest cut in town, but worth it.

Good men's barbers in the heart of Chinatown. Used to be known as Razor 34 before the recent re-brand. Mario runs the joint and was trained under vidal sassoon. They do contemporary male haircuts and full barber service. If you need a hot towel shave or just a beard trim, I'd recommend it. Make sure you book as they're usually busy and don't always have time for walk ins. You can book online. Prices reasonable and student discounts available.
