John is an institution having moved from his hairdressers in Rusholme.
It's worth finding in Longsight, still reasonably priced, you should also enjoy not just a good haircut but also hopefully a good laugh as it can be very sociable.

A. R.Biased as I have been going there since I was a 15 year old school boy at Manchester Central High.The team Tony, Kent, and Jan are 3 of the nicest people you could ever meet. I moved away 20 years ago lived in London and Glasgow and still manage to fit in a visit. Kent’s a Blue and loves film , Boxing and Holidays Tony loves Reading and Politics... a lively chat guaranteed. Political luminaries from Manchester past and present are not unknown to frequent this charming ‘Manc’ establishment.
My last visit last week on a visit to Manchester August 2021 as the Business sold on. A chapter of Manchester social History closes for me, Fond memories.💇🏻♂️
