From the moment I walked through the door I felt like a valued customer. The welcome is friendly and relaxed . My hair is short, I agreed to a supervised training session with Graham and Lara, who cut my hair perfectly, thank you both. This was my first visit to ONE and will be coming back again soon.

Kasey really worked her magic on my hair! The staff were very kind and considerate of the situation (during COVID) and the online system is easy to book with reminders and instructions clearly highlighted. Definitely would recommend the salon to anyone in the area!

Not a good experience, unfortunately person doing my Hair was off sick. I didn't get message to say this and turned up at my appointment time and asked to come back several hours later. I couldn't as I had the school run. Would have been better to slot me in at my normal time. What really upset me though was the guy's attitude at reception, he intimated in a very passive aggressive way that I couldn't have my colour done anyway as I hadn't had my patch test, which I did several days earlier, this hadn't been updated on the system. Young lady I spoke to was very friendly though. Shame about the situation as I really wanted to try this salon out.

I was lucky enough to have my hair washed, cut and styled by the fabulous Ellie. She is a trainee nearly qualified, but you would never have guessed it. She was kind, able to advise me on what would suit my hair type, and spent nearly 2 hours making me feel like I was a VIP. I suffer with anxiety and often feel low, I walked out of the salon feeling a million feet high. Ellie will now be my regular QUALIFIED hair stylist going forward. Thankyou Ellie, you don't realise what a difference you made to me and my self esteem.

I have been to many MK salons over the past few years (including pre covid) and I’ve never walked out with what I want. Katie really listened to me, she asked me questions, she clarified what I wanted and she checked my understanding of the outcome and explained the process and techniques, best products and styling tips. Graham also listened to my issues with the style, my likes and dislikes, and Katie and Graham communicated and worked together throughout the process. Yesterday was my first time visiting this salon. It was spacious, modern and clean. Upon arrival I was offered a variety of drinks. I was made to feel at ease immediately. My stylist was Jo. I have to say my experience with her was excellent. After a brief consultation she explained what she was going to do to restyle my hair. As soon as she started cutting I immediately relaxed because I knew from how she was cutting my hair that she was experienced. I am sooo pleased with my hair it is the best that it has been in many years. Thank you Jo I look forward to my visit in January.

Excellent first visit. The salon is clean and spacious, the atmosphere welcoming, warm and professional. Had a fabulous re-style from Jo who is very lovely indeed. Rosie gave me great advice as I want to go from red to my natural grey. She explained how the process would need at least 2 lifts to save damaging my hair and have a gradual change. She adapted to how my hair responded and never made me feel rushed. The owner was also lovely and the coffee was wonderful. Fully reccomend.

Today I went online to order some products from the One Salon as I love their kalona range, which was recommended by Rosie as she is my hairdresser. Within an hour of placing my order on line Graham the manager arrived to deliver my much needed hair products to my home in person. I was so happy, as during Quarantine and being unable to have my hair done this is certainly a way of managing my hair in these unprecedented times. I am absolutely delighted with the one salon and this fast service. The staff are very professional and really do go above and beyond for their customers. Thank you so much.

I’m so glad I found this lovely salon today. I needed a pick me up and from the moment I walked through the door I felt welcome and in good hands. I was given a very helpful initial consultation about what I wanted and great advice about colour from Katie who also did my highlights and helped me pick a toner. Kasey washed my hair beautifully and applied the toner and both staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommended - I am very happy with my visit.

I got my hair coloured by Emma, lovely lady but she left my roots looking stripey and uneven. I wanted a honey blonde colour all over from the roots but when I left the salon I quickly realised in the natural light that my roots were very patchy and unblended. Graham, the owner, did a free recolour there and then because the colour was so stripey and uneven. I left the salon with a somewhat okay colour and to be honest regretted going in the first place. The problem is, the salon owners tried to then pit my cousin against me after she came in to help with my ordeal. I myself don’t really speak up for myself and probably wouldn’t have even gone back into the salon the first time around if my cousin hadn’t pushed me to speak to the owners. My cousin was trying to explain to the hairdresser that she didn’t do what I wanted and it looked nothing like the reference picture but the staff became very hostile and there was significant pushback with the owner even cancelling my cousins hair appointment simply because he did not like her? In the reviews (now deleted)he stated I am ashamed of my cousin but that really isn’t the case and he’s pulling statements out of thin air! The unprofessionalism of the owners of this salon is shocking. Surely this isn’t the way to deal with conflict? And considering I was nothing but nice to both owners even after I left the salon dissatisfied? It makes no sense but each to their own I guess :) just sharing my experience.

Best salon in Stony, I can always trust them to take care of my hair. Recently brought some products from their shop during lockdown and they were delivered to my door within 30 minutes of purchasing. Can't wait for them to open again so I can go back for a cut and colour!

I’ve been a delighted customer at one salon since it opened 15 years ago. Gutted that they had to close during lockdown but they are very much back now!! Iv been to One Salon a couple of times now to have my colour done with Coran, and it just looks better with every visit! It’s taken some time to find a hairdresser that I can trust, but now that I have, I can honestly say I completely trust Coran and I won’t ever go anywhere else. My hair was terrible condition due to having a perm on bleached hair, I made a appointment at One Salon Stony Stratford, I had not been there before, I was warmly greeted by Graham who examined my hair and attained that it was in very bad condition. He suggested I had a deep conditioning treatment.I was very pleased with the end result. The condition of my hair was very much improved by the treatment, and I have booked another appointment .

I have been to the One Salon in Stony Stratford for 3 times now, I’ve had Coran do my hair everytime I’ve been there and she always does an amazing job. My hair was really badly bleached blonde and she managed to recover it and be at the blonde I want to be. With my recent visit Coran sorted out my root growth to blend it in with the rest of my hair. She done an amazing job without it looking like tiger stripes as I’ve had in another salon. It blends so well with the rest of my hair. She is also really precise at cutting as well. She won’t let you walk out of the salon unless your 100% happy. If you go to the salon in Stony Stratford I couldn’t recommend her enough. The One Salon are lucky to have her! Thank you Coran!

The colour I requested was challenging and Coran succeeded not only in achieving the desired colour but she also retained the condition of my fine hair with her use of appropriate products and extensive knowledge. I have had multiple negative salon experiences and am so delighted to say that I have found a Hairdresser that cares about their results. I had my first appointment with Gianni a few months ago and he did a fab job of taking my hair from a horrible copper colour back to blonde. When I booked my next appointment to get my roots done, Gianni was away so I booked in with someone else. I received a call about 10 minutes before my appointment from the salon owner to tell me that the person I was booked in with had left at very short notice but that he would do my colour for me. When my colour had been done I felt that my roots still looked really dark but I thought perhaps it was due to the lighting in the salon. It became apparent over the next few days that my roots were actually still really dark (it didn't look like my colour had even been done, despite the fact it cost me over £80). I called the salon and asked if the owner could call me back but he never did. So I went into the salon, spoke to someone there and they booked me in for a free re-colour. I was quite shocked to be told by that person that the owner (a) did get my message but was too busy to call me back (b) the owner had apparently said that he was aware he didn't do a very good job and that "colour isn't really his speciality". I went for my free re-colour and to be honest it's now only 3 weeks or so later and my roots are so bad that I am now having to pay another salon to re-do them for me next week. Overall very disappointing. I appreciate that problems happen but I feel that it's been dealt with very poorly. I'm only giving 3 stars because Gianni did such a great job to start with, otherwise it would be one star.

WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD UPDATE 11/12/12 - Since the review below was posted, I have been contacted by the salon manager, has done everything possible to solve the issues raised. He offered to rectify my hair personally at the time of my choosing, and offered me a full refund. As it's Christmas, I requested it go to Willen Hospice, which he has done. I chose not to go back, but have been impressed by the response by the salon and that my concerns were taken seriously. For this reason, I have changed the rating from 1 to 3 stars. I have been here a few times and have always had a good service, but my recent visit has left me traumatised . I have fine hair that is slow-growing and treasure every strand. I booked in for a wet trim, I have a chin-length bob that just needed a bit of a tidy. I have NEVER paid more than £25 at this salon. I went though exactly what I wanted and put my trust in her.....BIG MISTAKE I told the hairdresser that to trim the minimum off the sides as I hate my ears, she did what she wanted and now my ears are visible. I look like a middle-aged Justin Beiber. As my hair is slow growing it will take at least a year for my hair to grow back over them. I was not happy. To add insult to injury she then asked for £38!.....for a wet trim that is not what I wanted. I paid them the £25 I had on me. I only wish that the manager Graham was there and I could have explained fully. I hate it so much that I will have to get a wig until it grows back, it's that bad.

Tues 29th of may My son who 8 years old and myself. We had wash cut and style. CORAN not only is a fantastic at cutting hair. She was amazing with my 8 year old boy. My son has autistic traits. Having a hair cut. Can be stressful for him. Cause hair cutting on him , noisey room , sitting still. For the first time over 8 years trying different salon my son said this wasn't bad what was all that fuss about mum. Next time come here again.
